My facialist moved out of town a few years ago, and no one could compare until a friend who is a makeup artist referred me to Alexandra Wagner Skin Care. They are very attentive and know what they are doing, taking great care to give you a detailed facial that benefits your particular skin. They are pricey, but worth the results. They handle extractions as well as offering various exfoliating options in addition to customizing the moisturizing lotions/serums/gels that they use during the treatment, depending on what your skin tolerates.

The Alexandra Wagner Skin Care experience is extraordinary and everything you want out of a spa visit. The team is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate and they put thought and care into their sessions with you. Additionally, Alexandra's product line is incredible (I can't pick one that I like the most!) and keeps my skin healthy and glowing between facials. I could not recommend their services and products more.

Superlative skin care. Truly the best facial i've had in a decade. Alexandra knows what she is doing and is an expert in skin, products, skin issues and how to deal with them. She is thorough and uses clean and effective products from a variety of excellent brands, including her own White Tiger. Plus, her space is zen and beautiful, near the ocean so you can feel the ions. It's like a relaxing meditation facial, with incredible results.

Wow!! Let's just say if i could only pick one word to describe the level of service & satisfaction it would be: MINDBLOWN ;) Alexandra is an expert. She throughly cleaned out my skin, I had an hours worth of extractions. She didn't leave my skin inflamed or super marked up from doing the extractions. The next day I had a few tiny superficial white heads that came out very easily (from purging). 48 hours later I can say that my skin is glowing, clean, firm & completely healed from irritation. I went to Alexandra regularly about 15 years ago (and would still be going if I still lived in LA). She helped me finally get off of Accutane and really clear up my skin naturally. She is amazing!

Amazing quality skincare! I have been a client of Alexandra's since she first opened her business. I was recently back in LA and specifically made the point to book an appointment with her. Her signature facial is outstanding. I felt so good after that I bought some of the White Tiger Exfoliant which I use as a gommage a couple times a week. I not live in an extremely arid climate and currently in the middle of a super cold, windy winter. I am outdoors a lot and I feel like I have a brand new face when I use this product. FYI a little bit goes a LONG way. Not only does my skin feel great after using her products I feel confident in how much work she puts into her research and development. This is a quality, natural product. Additionally, for the first time in my life I started having sensitive skin and some facial eczema due to a reaction to a medication. I had this going one during the time I saw her and her product including the CBD Luxe Oil immediately calmed it down. The exfoliant while it sounds harsh does not exacerbate this condition and in fact seems to improve it. Alexandra is the best and all of her passion and knowledge shine through in everything that she does. Plus she is just a rad gal. :)

Exceptional. Better than any Biologic Recherche, Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton facial I’ve ever gotten. With her own products and a technique that gets results for months, Alexandra is at the forefront of their field. Highly recommend.

I had a facial with Iley and wow!! As I walked in, I was quickly feeling relaxed from the aromas of their salon, it was delightful! I walked out to the patio and enjoyed the birds eye view of Abbott Kinney and enjoyed the view. Once I was welcomed in for my facial, Iley was thoroughly asking me my skincare regimen, what brought me in and what I was looking for. Once she knew my history, she personalized an amazingly relaxing facial that I absolutely LOVED!!! Alexandra Wagner saved my skin and my self-esteem. I started having breakouts last year for the first time in 20 years - full on cystic, painful acne. After ruling out hormonal issues, I visited dermatologists but paused at the extreme treatments recommended. Not ready for those, I tried to treat it on my own. It didn't get better or worse but I knew I needed help. I finally went to see Alexandra in April and within a few days of my first appointment, my skin looked better than it had in a year. A few days after that, I understood what people meant about her "makeup free" skin. The scarring, hyperpigmentation, and active acne had subsided - I had nice skin again! It stayed mostly clear - even through my period - and I've been back twice since. She's the absolute best in LA and probably everywhere else. Plus, her dog is the cutest.

Not sure what was better, my facial yesterday or my face when I woke up this morning. I came in on a Monday for a facial after seeing rave reviews from Alexandra Wagner on several websites / Magazine. I had the 60 minute signature facial with Andrea Galdamez. I have to say, the minute I walked up the stores I knew this was going to be my new place. Andrea was awesome. She listened to my skincare concerns and she chatted with me throughout the facial, we shared stories of our skin problems / eating habits and it really felt like just two friends having a spa day at home. She extracted some minor acne I had on the my jawline which popped out out of nowhere. This morning I looked fabulous. What I loved the most was that my face felt truly clean post facial. All of the reviews of people saying they were "makeup free" in the following days are always hard to believe, but here I am Cannot say enough good things about this place! Go see Andrea! You'll love it!

This place is beautiful and very peaceful. Everything is clean, and Alexandra is super nice. Her dog is also very friendly. However, I've been here twice for a Brazilian waxing. Both times, I left unsatisfied. The first time I was here, I was seen after another lady. That lady gave the waxer a small tip.. I'd say $7 or so. If it were me, I would have been mad too, I'm not sure if she was but it seemed to me like she was. Because of this, she was more brutal in her waxing. There were a few times when the wax didn't fully stick, so she repeatedly went over the same area to remove the hair. The second time I was here, was not as bad as the first time, however when I left the studio my skin had turned super red and had bumps on it. (It's normal, true and it eventually goes away).. but I've had waxes at several other places (because I always like trying out new places)..I've been to Mimosa in Hermosa Beach, Forme in Santa Monica, and most recently with Laura Addario in LA and it was never like this. One thing that bothered me, is that there is a huge window right next to where you're getting waxed. A huge window (*on the second floor) where anyone could see if they walked by on the roof. There's a very minimal probability of this happening but it's not very calming when your legs are spread open or up in the air for the world to see. Regarding parking, it's usually bad when you're going to Abbot Kinney in Venice.. but the times I have been here it was super easy to find parking. I'm toying with rating this place two stars, however I am going to give them three stars because I am all for small businesses and I really liked everything else about the place.

Ile is seriously the BEST Esti I have ever had !!! Seriously and I've been getting facials for over a decade. As soon as you walk inside their cute little studio you feel a sense of relaxation . It super clean and Ile makes you feel very welcome . The table is also like your lying on a huge pillow is so comfy and snug. I fall asleep probably 15 mins into the facial , and when I wake up I'm glowing ! It's like magic ! Her EXTRACTIONS are the best ; she literally gets everything out and leaves you with a brand new face ! THANK YOU Ile I feel rejuvenated and super relaxed ! C ya next month !

I as well cannot praise Alexandra Wagner Skincare enough, and as all these phenomenal reviews state I agree. It has now been over 2 weeks since my last facial at AW and my face still feels and silky soft & hydrated as it did the moment I left the shop. I cannot more highly recommend this salon. Thank you.

The White Tiger Collection is my absolute fav right now. I am loving the smells mostly, but I love the packaging, the ingredients and the fresh feeling of my skin after I use it every time. If you want to smell and feel like you're in the spa, this is the brand for you!

I love this place. I see Ile for facials, waxing and whatnot, and she's a gem. It's a super laid-back spot and reminds me of OG Venice when everyone was chill and had soul. There's no pretentiousness here, just professionalism and feel-good faces. I walk away clean and happy with glowing skin.

I can finally say I have found the most amazing aesthetician in Ile. She's a magician. My skin already has a glow and smoothness that I haven't had before, and my pimples are basically gone. I am getting married in May, I am confident my skin will look radiant because of Ile!

I have been going to AW Skin Care for about six months. When I walked in, I was an emotional mess because I was so unhappy with the look of my skin. I can agree with the other yelpers who have said that your skin WILL look better after getting a facial here. I love Robyn-- she is sweet and friendly and knows her craft. Her facials were 175, where Alexandra charges 225 for the same treatment. I followed her advice (at least, initially) and followed a low sugar and mostly gluten free diet and my skin cleared up within a month in conjunction with the facials. This was a godsend, considering I had always been unhappy with my skin. I'm grateful for the fact that Robyn has made my skin look amazing, and Katrina, the newest esthetician is very sweet as well. Definitely worth checking out if you have the cash and have trouble skin, but be ready to spend $$$.

I am completely addicted to Alexandra's facials! I have been a loyal customer since finding her after moving to LA from Sydney, Australia 4 years ago. I had always suffered from bad skin, bad acne, argh! When I moved to LA I was pretty anxious to find someone good to help me keep my skin under control. It's not something you can trust with just anyone. I'm so, so, so glad I have Alexandra! Thanks to her people are constantly complementing my skin, which is awesome for someone who used to have bad skin. Recently I've started to get the micro-current facial which is basically a muscle toner for the face and it is crazy awesome! It's like a mini face lift and I'm certain it's going to keep me looking younger longer. Alexandra Wangner has magic hands, she fixes problem skin and you'll have the best skin of your life!!!! Oh yeah, she also does my eyebrows and just last week I was on a shoot and the make up artist was raving about what a great job my eyebrow person had done. Thanks Alexandra!!!!

Alexandra cares, she really cares about you, your skin, your life. I am so lucky to have found her in my most desperate state. My adult acne had peaked and people would actually comment on my skin-strangers, out of kindness, but strangers nonetheless. I found Alexandra through yelp and thought instantly that someone who has all 5 star reviews would be a must see. I have now being seeing her for about 6 months, and my skin is so improved. Through her help I have realized that I have food allergies and changed my diet (losing 15 lbs along the way). She is skilled, confident and goes after every pore you have, cleaning it with so much skill and care. You see the results instantly, and they last. If you have problem skin, you really need to see her. I am amazed, and I am a huge fan. She is not only great at what she does, she is a great person. Easy going and so much fun! Last time I saw her, she even waxed my eyebrows (which I never let anyone touch after a bad nail salon exp about 20 years ago) and they are perfect! What else can I say, she's the best :)

I went to see Alexandra the week before my brothers wedding. I had the most amazing facial & wax I've EVER had! Alexandra was gentle with the wax so I could barely feel it. I have never received the amount of compliments on my skin as I did over the wedding weekend. Even complete strangers came up to me. It was crazy! Not only was i blown away by the services, but the space is gorgeous. So calming and clean! I will definitely be back on a regular basis.

I've been going to Alexandra for facials for years now and she does an excellent job every single time. She really cleans out skin to prevent breakouts and does a thorough job because she cares. I had to take 2 years away after a bad car wreck and now that I've been back seriously everybody has commented how great my skin looks. It's actually weird, to be honest, but that's how much radiant, clean skin matters. It's more important than a good hair cut or color. It really affected my skin's health and appearance in a bad way when I wasn't able to come in for those couple years. She always says I can come back if anything breaks out after the facial-and I never once have had to do so.

Alexandra saved my face! I've been going to her for about a year and a half, after a year of searching for great skin care. I'm sure that most people think that facials are an unnecessary luxury. I'm sure that's how it is when you have perfect skin. In my case, well, it was more like a battlefield on my face...pre-Alexandra. The pain from the extractions are SO worth the outcome, and Alexandra dishes out minimal pain. No pore is left unexamined haha. My skin is pretty darn clear now, and I see her about every six weeks for maintenance. I highly recommend her signature facial. You get everything you need, plus a little shoulder rub, which is really a teaser, but so needed. If you have terrible skin, CALL HER! Oh and I almost forgot. She's great with eyebrows!

I finally got to the point where I realized I needed professional help with my skin. I really don't like people touching my face so I was a bit apprehensive. I checked the Internet found a few places but noticed everyone had a at least 1 bad rating. I read Alexandra's and read great reviews and was impressed that she didn't have one single bad comment. Still apprehensive I made my appointment and showed up. That was back in 2007 and now several facials later I understand her rave reviews. I get her signature facial and yes a little pricey and she is a bit of a drive for me but when it comes to my face she I will not got to anyone else. Yes, all the reviews everyone writes are true. I have truly been meaning to write a great review since the first visit but never got around to it. I just had my facial with her this weekend and realized that she really deserves a rave review. Rest assured that as soon as she puts her hands on your face she is devoted only to make sure that you and your skin receive her total care and devotion.

Alexandra's facials are the best. Period. I've been seeing her for about 9 months now and my skin is drastically improved, and has been for about 5 months. I like & appreciate that she's down to earth and is knowledgeable about different products. She carries a really great natural skin care line but doesn't pressure you to buy it and doesn't base her service quality on the amount you're spending but on your personal needs. As a student, its expensive for me but is ultimately worth it and I even show up a bit early to chat and hang out with her... a cool chic :o)

Alexandra is wonderful, hands down. I am always looking forward to seeing her and love our conversations during the facial. I'm sure she enjoys my narcoleptic snoring as I zone out during the treatment. Excellent music choices, and she's just the best at what she does. I know $175 is high, but like Giovanna posted, it is for 90 minutes and her products are first rate. If you can't find street parking, there are metered lots on the other side of Abbot Kinney. Haven't had a problem finding a spot.

I get the facials with Katrina. She is great, my skin is looking so much better. It's really clear, smooth and even. She makes you feel very comfortable and she is very nice. I disagree with some of the remarks on Alexandra's personality. I met her and was very pleasant. And who cares? She famous for the facials she gives, not for winning an Oscar in Miss Congeniality 3. I agree it's a bit pricey but I think of my face as my first impression, so I don't mind shelling out some extra cash. I'll skimp on the less viewed services like a body wax.

I had been looking for a good place for good skin care for a while. I was sick of paying A LOT of money to go to Burke Williams when I didn't think the facials were really that good. So, my yelp search turned up Alexandra Wagner, and boy am I glad it did! I first saw her a few months ago and I hadn't had a facial in a long time. She completely customized the facial to my needs (which she does every time) and spent a LONG time with me making sure every part of my skin was addressed. The extractions were pretty intense, but totally worth it. And, she did microdermabrasion, which was great (and my skin needed it). I scheduled another appointment for a few weeks later, and have probably been back 4-5 times after that. I try to go in about every 5 weeks now that my skin is more on a "maintenance" plan. Let me also say that I've never had very bad acne, but my skin has always been sensitive and over the years has gotten dull and dry. My dermatologist has tried to treat occasional breakouts with clindamax and Differin, which really irritated my skin. So, here's the really cool thing about Alexandra - since I've been seeing her, I am no longer using ANY medication on my skin - just a gentle cleanser and good quality moisturizer and that's it! And I've gotten more compliments on my skin than I ever have in her life! Trust me, you NEED to go to her. If you have a skin problem, she will fix it. She may not fix it in one session, but if you make the commitment, you will see results! Plus, she's super cool and friendly and her office is light, breezy, and relaxing. She never rushes and always makes you feel welcome. I'll never go anywhere else!

I was so stressed about running late (LA traffic), and I called to let Ile know I'd be tardy. She was super sweet and told me not to worry. Finding parking can be difficult, so give yourself extra time. As soon as I arrived, Ile encouraged me to relax and told me she had lots of time. The services I received (waxing and a signature facial) were professional and precise and REALLY enjoyable. We chatted and laughed during my wax and then I totally zenned during my facial. My skin looks absolutely radiant and is so soft. She didn't hard sell me on any products either, which I seriously appreciate. I would absolutely book another appointment with Ile, and I'll be recommending her to my friends!

Couldn't have asked for better! Everyone here is so sweet and makes you feel so comfortable to be there. Ile did my facial and after a few days my skin was and is still GLOWING. It has never been this soft or clear. The facial was very relaxing and felt really nice. I recommend this place without hesitation:)

Alexandra has upgraded to a new space on Abbot Kinney, and I'm pleased to report that it is vastly superior in every way. Housed in a handsomely weathered brick building with a private waiting area, high ceilings, and a balcony (!) overlooking the boulevard, Alexandra's new studio now has room to accommodate a second aesthetitician, and her name is Lilly. I haven't had a facial with Lilly yet, but I can tell from my interactions with her that she is a knowledgeable, patient practitioner who's just as sweet as can be. Lilly will be accepting appointments on Sundays and Mondays so now there's just no excuse to miss out on the Alexandra Wagner Signature Facial. Do it. Your skin will thank you.

Recently visited for the first time and had a microderm. My face looked great but the true test will be in a week. Parking is a nightmare.

I wasn't happy with my facial. Ile was very sweet, but she didn't choose the correct facial for my skin. I have mature skin, and am experiencing some breakouts on my chin at the moment. She chose a really harsh mask that burned, for my entire face. My skin was rough afterwards, had no radiance, and still hasn't recovered after two days. In addition, the extractions were really aggressive, and I still have inflammation on my cheek. I've had many great facials, and with all the positive reviews I was excited to try somewhere new. The salon is beautiful, but with a $175 price tag, I expected better. I wouldn't come back, nor would I recommend to my friends.

I highly recommend Alexandra's services! I've been seeing Ali for years and she's absolutely the best. Facials, waxing, whatever you need...she uses only the best natural products and is an absolute pleasure to chat with. Enjoy!

I have been called, "gorgeous" only once in my life. And that was immediately after I got a signature facial from Alexandra. My skin was poreless, dewy, and porcelain smooth. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I hardly recognized my own skin. I've tried everything available to fight my acne, which I've had for the past 15 years. Only when I began to see Alexandra on a monthly basis did my skin clear up miraculously. I don't know what she does, but whatever it is, it has saved my skin. She is a mandatory go-to prior to all major events in my life.

I had my facial with Alexandra and I loved it! She was very good with her extractions and I loved her products. You get what you pay for with her. She uses top notch products and really cares about her clients. Whenever I had questions, she would respond right away via email. The only downside is parking. There is a valet few blocks away.

I went through the horror of seeing Sonya Dakar, prior to finding Alexandra. What a difference! Alexandra is simply wonderful. She is professional, smart, kind, and always smiling. She plays great music (no classical, or spa-like boringness) Her space is very comfortable, clean and modern. And most of all her skills are incredible. She makes sure you are well taken care off and happy before you leave. I like the cosmetics she uses, they are very effective. I always look forward to seeing her!

Wow...my first non-food, non-winery Yelp review. And what better establishment to use it on than Alexandra Wagner Skin Care. I believe it was 2009 when I first started coming here, and I've never entertained the thought of going somewhere else for a facial. Quite simply, I couldn't imagine a better place to get some TLC on my face. Alexandra always carries such positive energy and her second calling may very well be as a therapist. Pretty sure she knows just about everything about me, as she has this way of making you feel so at ease while making you beautiful :). I can only compare her to two other places I had been to before finding her, and it's not even worth a comparison. I do not generally notice small changes to one's appearance, but my face always glows and looks so healthy when I leave her place. Without hesitation, I would recommend Alexandra Wagner Skin Care to anyone.

I've been seeing Alexandra for the past 8 years and I always get compliments on my skin. I am constantly being told that my skin is glowing. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my skin. She is the BEST of the BEST!

Alexandra was recommended to me by a co-worker over 1 year ago and I'm completely devoted to her facials (although she also does the best Brazilian wax in LA too!). I've run the gamut of trying spas, dermatologists, detoxes, and pricey products to make my complexion not only glow but rid it of the adult acne breakouts. Now, at 30 years old my skin is at the best it has ever looked thanks to Alexandra. She is great at what she does, and her routine is simple and effective. Her products WORK. I think it's important to note that the "glow" doesn't go away after the facial - when you use the products she recommends, you can easily maintain great skin.

I bought a Groupon for 2 waxing sessions. The appointments were so easy to book via email. They were confirmed the day before. The salon is small but very cute and very clean, and Robyn is amazing! Amazing wax! She's sweet, plus she's fun to chat with, even when you're in a compromising position.....

I started seeing Alexandra a couple of months before my wedding. I saw immediate results - my skin looks healthy and glowing. Her space is very comfortable and inviting and Alexandra is friendly and personable. I plan to keep seeing her regularly in the quest to age gracefully.

Lovely space with a gorgeous balcony/patio and lots of enormous windows that bring in plenty of natural light. Very serene! I had a wax appointment with Robyn and she couldn't have made it easier. As painless as possible. Highly recommended!

I loved my facial here. I like that alexandra emphasizes skin care products with natural ingredients, but only if they really work. I have sensitive skin, and I had no problems with any of the products. It took a few days before I noticed results, but they explained it's normal to have dryness immediately following. I think my skin looked visibly brighter and smoother in the following weeks, and I love the mask and zweena serum I bought from her.

After reading the great reviews on Yelp, I decided to treat myself to a birthday facial with Alexandra yesterday. As soon as I came in, she turned off the ringer on her phone - which was ringing off the hook since she'd just been featured on The Daily Candy - and got me started. The experience was great! She settles you on a comfy bed with a thick comforter and pampers you for 90 minutes straight. It was my first facial in nearly 3 years, so she had a LOT to do, but was super sweet about it and kept up a nice flow of conversation when I wanted it, & kept quiet when I wanted to zone out. I left with glowing skin, clean pores and a very relaxed attitude, and I will SO be back!

Alexandra rocks! She gives the best facial ever. Most facialists charge all of these separate fees for oxygen blasts, microderm, masques, etc but she includes it all into her fantastic treatment. My skin is glowing after I see her. Not only does she know about skin care but she's a cool chick to have a chat about life with too. Highly recommend. :)

I love it here. Alexandra is so talented with skin and solving skin issues, whether it's acne or sensitivity, she is truly gifted. And I've been a Beauty Editor and in the skincare business for over 20 years and I only want Alexandra touching my skin from now on. Plus I love the place; where else can you see palm trees from the treatment room? I'm done with dark caves. And you can even sit outside and enjoy the elevated view of Abbot Kinney. Five stars.

Alexandra is amazing! she takes great care of your skin. everything everyone says about her is absolutely true. my pores were so much smaller when she was done & a month later, my skin still looked great! I just wish I still lived in LA so I could see her on a regular basis.

The products she uses are the first I have ever tried that don't give me any skin irritations. She is also the best at making your eyebrows look exactly how they should! As for waxing, I have never felt more comfortable. I recommend all my friends to her!

I recently relocated to LA from NY and went to this spot based on the glowing Yelp reviews. I went in for a full body wax: bikini, underarms, eyebrows and legs. Robyn was lovely and super personable but the wax wasn't great and to boot was fairly expensive. Robyn missed the back of my legs and also caused some pretty painful wax burn on my bikini area. I am not usually sensitive to wax but my bikini area was red for a few days after our session. I was also surprised to see that they don't use cloth strips but instead the synthetic ones that tend to be more painful and rip more easily. In shaping my eyebrows, Robyn was fairly conservative but left a lot of cleaning that I had to do on my own later. While the space is beautiful and the staff is really nice, I don't think I will be going back for another session.

I was pretty disappointed with my facial. My skin didn't look much different afterward and the extractions were not thorough at all. I did a signature facial with someone who was not Alexandra. She skipped my cheeks and chin and focused only on my forehead. She told me I didn't have much congestion yet when I got home I returned to the same 20-30 whiteheads that had been bothering me (I have very acne prone skin and it had been years since my last facial). She was nice but didn't have any suggestions for me as far as skincare. Also don't expect a fancy salon. It is just one small office.

She does a great facial really takes her time. She is priced on the high side. If I could afford the maintenance I would go all the time because I have that kind of skin. But piled onto all of my other expensive habits I have to space it out. If you have problematic skin - go.

She is talented, knowledgeable and always makes me feel very comfortable. The treatments were not only relaxing, but I noticed a huge difference in the way my skin looks and feels. Amazing Facial!! Had the signature facial with Robyn on Saturday and my skin looks great! My pores look so clean therefore smaller. My friend complimented my skin on Sunday without knowing about the facial. Robyn has a simple philosophy about skin care and I love that. Usually when I get a facial the whole session is a sales pitch for all the products they sell and I need. I asked so she told me what she likes but no push to buy. She gave an honest answer about what works for her. Have to mention that we chatted a little bit during my facial, with my initiation, I know some women don't like to talk during facials, and not only is she a talented esthetician but a genuine, cool, GREAT person. There a lot of places to go for skin care, A LOT, and I want to give my business to a place that delivers excellant work by the hands of genuine, GOOD people. New Client for Sure.
