Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel

The stay was amazing. The place was very quiet, which made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The booking included free access to the family beach, pool, a small kids water park, and also a ladies beach. Breakfast was impressive, offering a wide variety of food from different regions to suit all tastes. There are also small convenience shops on-site, which was very handy. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly. I really appreciated the welcoming gesture of coffee and dates upon arrival. The only downside is that the hotel is located about 30 minutes away from the center of Muscat, so taxi rides can be a bit pricey.

First of all, this experience was great. All the staff were really kind and respectful. The food was delicious and the room was very comfortable. The facilities were excellent too. The Pool was very good since there were palm trees above it to provide shade in some areas. The breakfast had a lovely view and all the food is for different tastes. They have Indian, Middle Eastern and European food there.

We truly loved the resort — not only for its beautiful and classy ambiance, but also for the impeccable service that made us feel genuinely valued. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with a level of care and attention that reflects true VIP hospitality. Every corner of the property radiates elegance and refinement. The staff were professional, attentive, and consistently gracious. A special word of thanks goes to Ms. Maria, the resort manager, whose leadership and personal touch elevated the entire experience. She ensured that every detail was handled seamlessly and that we felt cared for throughout our stay. This resort has earned our loyalty. It offers the perfect balance of luxury, warmth, and high-standard service — a place we will gladly return to and recommend with full confidence.

I had a fantastic stay! Everything from the comfortable rooms to the warm hospitality exceeded my expectations. I especially want to highlight the ladies-only beach—it was a truly thoughtful and well-maintained space that provided both privacy and comfort. It made my experience even more relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you for offering such an inclusive and considerate amenity. I’ll definitely be recommending the hotel to friends and family!

Our two week stay was beyond expectations. From our initial check in at midnight until our check out at 2am two weeks later, we were welcomed warmly and made to feel valued by all the staff who were able to answer queries, who always had the time to chat and who made sure we were comfortable and having a good time. The hotel itself is stunning. The room we had (328) was large, well appointed and comfortable. It had a great sea view though the balcony area is very compact. We had an issue with the shower floor draining and evening turn down service being inconsistent but this was dealt with promptly. The food in Al Khiran restaurant was amazing. So much choice and all beautifully presented. The restaurant staff (Ali, Salin, Nizam,Adnan) and all the others whose names I cannot recall, were always cheerful, helpful and often shared new foods for me to try. I cannot thank them enough. The beach was clean and soft and the pool area was lovely especially in the heat of the day. All the pool bar staff and the pool staff ( Kim - always rushing around, Stevan - waiter and especially Adil - lifeguard were very efficient and interesting to talk to. Drinks were expensive but there was constant replenishment of cool boxes with cold water throughout the day. |The only negative would be that there was no explanation/communication in advance of the effect Eid would have at the hotel. We fully respected and understood the situation but as visitors from Europe, a few words in a message in advance on the TV message option would have been appreciated.

A wonderful hotel with great staff and great facilities. The pool, beach and spa are all excellent. Quite isolated and far from Muscat, but an easy 30 minute drive if you do need to visit the city. Staff are all very helpful throughout the hotel. And the entrance hall is very impressive - worth a visit to the foyer cafe for that alone even if you don’t stay here.

Been to Ritz-Carlton properties around the world and always had exceptional service — until my stay at Ritz-Carlton Muscat. Unfortunately, my first and last experience at Ritz-Carlton Muscat was disappointing. Despite paying for two sea-view rooms for four guests, we arrived at 2AM to find we were “upgraded” to a pool view — which we never requested. No welcome drink, no hospitality, and a 40-minute wait to get our rooms. Rooms were prepared for only one guest — one towel, one slipper, one toothbrush — despite our confirmed booking. Basic amenities like towels and robes weren’t replaced unless we asked, and even room service included a used mustard container. We also never received the cake we were promised as an apology. You don’t get your full rights or amenities here unless you ask for them, which is not what you’d expect from the Ritz-Carlton brand. Only the Omani staff showed true professionalism and care — they were the highlight of our stay. But overall, the service here needs a serious reset.

I stayed at the Al Bustan Palace with my two children. It was our first time in Oman. The hotel is stunning inside, and the staff are very dedicated. From the kitchen team to the spa, the service staff, housekeeping, and management: everyone is incredibly friendly and always does their best to assist you in every way possible. I'm grateful for the wonderful time we had at this hotel, and I would love to come back soon.
