As we returned a week ago from our 6th stay at this exceptional hotel, I was thinking about what I could possibly say in my review that might add to my comments about “our home in Muscat” of May 25, 2024. Not much really. Everything I said then still applies: upon our arrival we stepped into a cocoon of friendliness combined with top-class service, being welcomed back on our first day by so many employees, each with a warm smile and cordial greetings. ||All was the same as last time. The stunning architecture, the beautifully appointed rooms, the scent of frankincense everywhere you go. Every morning Ali and Najma pampered us in the Al Khiran restaurant, increasing our great enjoyment of the superb breakfast buffet (compliments once more to the pastry chef: your filled cubed croissants are simply out of this world!). Then, during the day at the beach, there was our dear Blu Bar Team again, taking care of our every wish. Our heartfelt thanks, as usual, to Ganesh, Pradeep, Nasser, Bandana and Seda, now supported by their new colleagues Altynai and Utsav. We do so enjoy our many conversations with you! Not to forget, of course, the inimitable Khalid together with Khem and Firoz in the Beach & Garden area, making sure we have everything we need at all times. We even ran into our room attendant from last time, Mohammed Riyadh, now responsible for evening turndown, who spoiled us with flowers and chocolate – so kind of you! Thanks, too, to Ciloni and Valeria at Reception, who made check-in so pleasant, and to Maria, as well, during check-out, who eased our sadness at having to leave!||All these people - yes, the soul of any hotel. But we have realized there is another reason why we love Al Bustan Palace – it’s because it remains a haven of continuity in terms of beauty and service. It doesn’t stand still, but it also doesn’t unnecessarily change things that have made guests feel comfortable in the past. This balancing act is certainly a great achievement in today’s world of conflicting interests and economic constraints, and is surely only possible through a combination of wise management and a deep commitment to excellence on the part of the staff. Enough reason for us to keep coming back!
