Aire experiences definitely have their niche "ancient bath" thing going and it really works for them. The design of Aire locations: salt weathered brick, the grotto on steroids feel, the Latin names, and the locations are all well done. I've been to 3 locations with my wife, Seville first, then New York, and this week London, so I guess I like the idea. The London location feels on the medium size compared to the other two that I have seen. The staff greet you warmly and generally give the feeling of taking care of you. The waiting spaces (and you often have to wait for a bit- sometimes too long), are calm and inviting with green tea, soft colors, and warm light. The massage that we had was light to med firmness for 45 min and was excellent. Everything super clean and well appointed in the changing rooms and the bath areas. I gave this location is 3 stars and not higher for a couple of reasons: 1- While the service wrist bands and iPad organization seemed like it would help, it didn't seem to most of the time. Simple indicators and tech should make it seamless and nonintrusive. That is part of the thing with an "ancient bath", the tech should be invisible and be helpful. However, my wife was asked at least 3 times if she was "on the list", we were passed between 4-5 different helpers who seemed so not really know what we knew or had yet completed, and upon leaving my wife, on her way up to change while I went to the steam room, was encouraged to have her glass of Cava she was owed (she doesn't like it), but I was not (I do like Cava). 2- Service: In general, the staff was great. The massage team, top notch. However, the previously mentioned lack of organization and the somewhat rote approach from the team felt like they were just going through the motions. With a job like this with people paying $500 plus for an experience, you need to present yourselves really well. It's a performance, and like those on stage, you need to project and engage. Ask more questions and pretend to be interested. I know your not, but it's fun to pretend right? It could have easily been "oh you don't like Cava, well maybe your husband should have both of these glasses so that he will give us a 5 star review and not a 3". Still, I like Aire baths and might try Copenhagen next.
