After 2.5 months, I finally treated myself to a decadent Mayan Chocolate Frappe at Ah Cacao Café. The chocolate was rich with a hint of spicy 🌶️ chili and not overly sweet. I ordered mine with Coconut 🥥 milk and it was a perfect tropical treat. I sat inside which was wonderfully cool.

Highly recommend. Great coffee, nice selection of pastries and other drinks. Plenty of seating options both inside (a few booths, a bar) and outside tables under umbrellas. Friendly staff, including bilingual (English) if you need it.

Nice spot, good to chill in the morning. Just a coffee spot not for breakfast but, it is really good to sit and enjoy a coffee of choice.

This is a franchise so you know what you're getting before stepping through the door. Usually sufficient seating as you don't tend to stay beyond finishing your drink. They have an unusual system of giving you access to their WiFi as each receipt has an unique number to give WiFi access, so you are forced to be a customer in order to use the WiFi.

The Chocolate Cake ($69MXN) is very good, it is not too sweet or fatty, while still saturating the hunger for a quick bite. They seem to use some kind of special dough that has a different texture than a classical cake, which I liked. The waiter brings it together with a complimentary glass of water that is refreshingly cold. Don't throw away the receipt, it serves as your WiFi password (the code that starts with AC-...).

This place was our hands down favorite place in Playa. We frequented Ah Cacao everyday for either drinks or desserts. I highly recommend their mango smoothies, brownies, cheesecake, ice cream and coffee. Pretty much everything here is amazing. I made sure to stock up on coffee for home!
