A great on-campus spot when you need something quick and affordable. The space is pretty small so you'll have to squeeze if you are bringing a crowd. I ALWAYS rave about their chicken fantastic and sweet potato fries, both are my absolute go-to's and I find myself craving them frequently. Highly recommend for the amazing food and quick service

A cute and colorful spot, perfect for a quick bite! I ordered lamb gyros and French fries. I was served in five minutes and everything was hot and tasty! The pita is slightly toasted to give a little extra oomph to the gyro meat and the portion was very generous. French fries are crisp and only needed a little salt, though they did come with a spicy sauce to dip if you have stronger taste buds than my wimpy butt. Definitely worth trying more, since the baklava looks excellent.

The two types of gyros were amazing. Both meats, lamb and chicken, tasted great and seemed high quality (not that strange over-processed chicken). Would eat the gyros again in a heartbeat but will be trying the wraps and beef sandwich on my next visits after running into a old colleague of mine at the restaurant who was eating those and highly recommended them! I can’t believe it took me so long to visit this restaurant! Besides the great food, the service was great and quick, and the meal reasonably priced!

I’ve heard good things about this place so I decided to give it a try. We got the “chicken fantastic” and it was legitimately the blandest meal I’ve ever eaten at any restaurant in the Twin Cities. I’m not one to write bad reviews literally ever because I know how difficult the restaurant industry is, but this experience was particularly disappointing. The pieces of chicken were tiny and sparse and tasted rubbery and unseasoned–like they were previously frozen or canned. The white cream sauce had an odd texture and flavor comparable to that of a watered-down jarred Alfredo sauce. The rice was the only part that tasted somewhat good. I feel bad saying this but I’ve honestly had microwaveable frozen meals that tasted better than this. Not worth the price, and I will definitely not be back.

Worst food ever. I at there today for lunch. I ordered eight wings, side salad and a beef Sambusa Let’s start with the hygiene. None of the cooks changed their gloves as they handled cooked, uncooked and fresh food, touching everything in the kitchen and then the food. Had to request the cook to change his gloves before he made my food. Salad- it was disgusting. The green pepper was literally rotten had to spit it out. The salad tasted like dirt. Wings- bland and mushy and undercooked. Bit into a second wing and it was raw. Left my food and walked out. I was too mad to ask for my money back because I was too afraid of what I may have done to the cooks. Avoid that dirty ass spot.

This is a great place for people who interested in trying East African food. I ordered the Chapati Wrap, and it only took 5 minutes for them to cook my food. The food was well seasoned, and the quantity size is great. I wish the fries had more seasoning, but aside from that the food taste pretty good. The atmosphere is very relaxed.

A nice quick and easy to obtain restaurant by the U of M campus! Was a big fan of their beef bowl. It was super savory and had a lot of beef. The chicken fantastic had decent flavors, but did not have much chicken at all maybe 7 pieces total in a large. The beef sambusas had a great crispy exterior, but the insides could have had more flavor. Fortunately the sauce they provided with it was not too bad. Good food for the money. I ordered the small French fries and 3 pc veggie sambusa. The fries are ok, but not sure why many recommend them. They taste good, but nothing special. They come with a mayo-like dipping sauce . The vegetarian sambusa are stuffed with lentils and deep fried; crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The dipping green sauce that comes with them is quite spicy.
