Lovely resort to stay at whether it’s a treehouse or luxurious hacienda. The Acre dog adoption center is a fun attraction and you can pick a dog to walk or hangout with all day while you contemplate adopting. Treehouse accommodations are rustic but with enough amenities to make it a worthwhile experience. Hopefully you’ll run into the peacocks that live on property

What can I say bad about this place. The service and food was off the charts good. Freshest farm to table, What more could you ask for! Come and enjoy the outdoor patio. Cold adult beverages are great service.

Acre Resort in San José del Cabo is pure enchantment, and celebrating our wedding at the Los Agaves venue felt like stepping into a dream. Surrounded by lush greenery and thoughtful design, every element of the experience exceeded what we had imagined. We’re endlessly grateful to Jessica, the amazing Events Director, who brought our vision to life with grace and precision. Her calm demeanor, eye for detail, and expert guidance made the planning process feel effortless. Thanks to her, every moment unfolded beautifully and without stress. We also can’t thank Arturo, the Executive Chef, enough for creating an unforgettable dining experience. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about the food—each dish was a perfect reflection of Baja’s vibrant, farm-to-table flavors, both stunning in presentation and full of bold taste. The Los Agaves venue itself is a showstopper—tucked among palm trees, glowing with soft lights, and infused with the natural charm that makes Acre so distinct. It struck the perfect balance between intimate and lively, setting the stage for a celebration we’ll cherish forever. If you're dreaming of a destination wedding or a one-of-a-kind event in Cabo, Acre is truly second to none. Huge thanks to Jessica, Arturo, and the entire team for making our wedding weekend nothing short of perfection.

We stayed off the resort but visited one of the haciendas, which was stunning. They have lovely, 2 bedroom/2 story standalone units that are beautiful. There are also tree houses to rent that people raved about.

Everything was great except on the website it states adults only hotel but lots of children around property. Love children just expected it to be as advertised. Also offers free breakfast but doesn't state what kind. We still enjoyed ourselve.

I'll first start by saying we both work in the restaurant/hospitality industry and reviews aren't our thing. So hear me out... Salvador, Angel, Parker, Melissa, Fausto, etc. I'm missing a few, but the point being is in the 3 nights we stayed in the extremely comfortable and well designed tree houses we encountered so many staff members who made a lasting impression on what quality service is. We had so much fun at the resort and the restaurant. Their servers care, the managers were tremendous, and the food was so damn deliciouso. Ask Parker to take you on a property tour, do the mezcal tasting with one of the kindest and most knowledgeable guides in the game, Angel, or spend your entire day by the pool with Salvador serving up your ideal poolside snacks and killer cocktails. Everything, and everybody was unforgettable, and we will be back as soon as we can! Thank you!

Dates Stayed: 5/9- 5/12 Room Type: Tree House Guests: 2 Value: Medium/low Hot Take: the tree house experience is not worth it. Stay at another resort and go to eat at Flora Farms. Property Summary: The resort is a beautiful place with exceptional grounds, a fancy restaurant, and relaxing pool. The tree house is a unique experience with just enough space for 2 people to enjoy. Surrounded by new growth palm trees in the middle of a desert, it's a beautiful setting. It's truly an oasis as the surrounding area around the resort is remote in the hills and surrounded by dumpy and/or unfinished houses. The roads to get to the resort are rough but once you are there, its fine. The hotel guest pool is beautiful (closed at 3 for weddings) which forced all guests to go to the villa owners pool which was surrounded by cabanas and a bar under construction making it noisy and dusty to be around. The villas owners were not pleased by this. Bikes on the property and a couple pickleball courts were a nice addition. Experience Summary: It's worth noting that the resort is still under construction and has 2 different areas to stay 1) the tree house and 2) the partial ownership villas. They also host weddings. This dramatically negatively impacted our experience. Of the 3 nights we were there, they hosted a wedding on 2 of the nights including rehearsal dinners and the ceremony. The ceremony festivities went past the time they told us they would (10pm) and with the landscape, there was no hiding from the loudness and bass from the DJ. The weddings were also not hotel guests which made the property extra crowded, and our perception was this impacted the resorts willingness to shut the music off or turn it down. We felt as tree house guests, we were the lowest priority on the property (pecking order: weddings (where they make most money), Villa owners (who basically are funding the resort expansion), and then tree house guests). We became friendly with some villa owners who confirmed the tension between them and the hotel over the weddings. Restaurant Summary: My gosh its expensive, and for no reason. For instance, a glass of Prosecco is $25. The food was not spectacular for the price and the menu had little no Mexican on it at all. They try to get you to purchase their house red wine from Italy. They did bring a small birthday dessert which was nice, but then they charge you $0.01 for it. More on this below. Other: - This place is basically like being in California. We nicknamed it Mexifornia. The resort is actually owned by Canadians. You arrive at the resort and are greeted by an American. The resort guests are largely all from California as well. If you are looking for this then its great, but don't expect any kind of authentic Mexican experience. - In addition to the overpriced restaurant, they are generally very stingy. As a tree house guest, you get a "free" continental breakfast of 1 pastry, 1 coffee, and 1 juice. Thats it. No other type of coffee drink allowed without being charged. An espresso is $8. This is nit-picking but when you say its free, don't charge for it. They actually charge you $0.01 for each meal. - They don't tell you this up front or give you the option to decline but they charge you an additional fee for room service each day. You don't find out about this until you check out, however. - There were a lot of rules and restrictions. Pool closes at 3 for weddings, only get this specific thing for "free" for breakfast, can't order guacamole right now and its only available between these times at the pool. Was not relaxing.

Staying at a treehouse at Acre is truly a unique and phenomenal experience. You feel the “openness” with the absence of solid walls, with the surrounding plants providing adequate privacy. Every single staff my wife and I encountered were very friendly and attentive. The food and drink selections at the restaurant were phenomenal. The upkeep of the entire resort was nothing but excellent. The only downside is that the roads leading to the resort (and few other nearby restaurants and similar resorts) were yet to be paved and very bumpy. Arranging transportations (e.g. Uber, Taxi, etc) was very convenient; I just feel bad for the drivers who were not too familiar with the area, as it was fairly easy to be lost among the roads. Overall, we highly recommend actually staying at the treehouse inside the resort if time permits.
