Achen Lake

Aachensee – A European Gem Near Innsbruck The Aachensee, near Innsbruck, is one of my favorite lakes in Europe. The turquoise water is incredibly clear, and although it’s quite cold, it offers a beautiful refreshment for a quick swim in the summer. The hiking trail runs directly along the cliffs by the water, providing stunning views of the lake and the magnificent Austrian nature. Some sections of the trail are steep, but there are small aids to assist hikers. At the end of the lake, you can find a charming mountain hut where you can enjoy a cold drink or a snack. The natural beauty of the area is simply breathtaking.

Beautifull place. You can bath in the lake, but not for everyone cause it is very cold, the upside is that it is very healthy doing cold baths. There is a boat service to take you around the lake, also you can rent electric boats to go on the lake, 30€ 1 hour. You can also walk or bike. Strongly recommend.

Love this lake for a day out. The ferry ride is fun and the views are amazing. The hiking trail is good too – not too hard and really scenic.

Еverything for your unforgettable stay on the largest Austrian lake also called Tyrolean Fjords with Caribbean blue waters. Water sports, boat trip, climbing with a cabin, I recommend from the side of Pertisau, from where after the promenade there is a path along the lake with many stone beaches

Amazingly beautiful! Unique lake. Clear water. 10 out of 10. Definitely a must see.

Dream place. I love Achensee a lot. It is perfect in summer and winter. You have plenty of leisure options for every season: skiing, cross skiing, playing golf, hiking, sailing, swimming, windsurfing, paragliding or even sunrise yoga on top of the mountain Rofan. And all of this is just centered around Achensee. Apart from that there are the best Wellness hotels such as Alpenrose, where you can relax close by the lake. Restaurant like the Scholastika offer you the bestest food located by the water. I love the Austrian cuisine. There is plenty of more to tell but you need to come visit and experience it yourself!

The view of the lake is astonishing. Riding the bicycle along the lake was a very fun activity. We also found a small rope park near the west-northern shore that the kids loved, it is located near a small church. We saw lots of ducks in the lake 🙂🦆🦆🦆🥇. Plan a half day here, a great activity for the whole family.

Super nice lake. Should visit with family and kids. They really love this place. Lot of option for hiking for both kids and adults. Some hiking are difficult for kids . You can see lot of water falls while hiking here. Boating is another good option . It’s really worth to boating. Sunny day will be the best time for hiking. There many restaurants. Parking place. Unfortunately toilet f Are bad even with paying. Many option for kids playing. Sunny day will be crowded. But hiking path are not crowded. So you can enjoy a lot. Need visit many time to cover entire area
