Our group recently enjoyed a seven-course Grand Tasting dinner at Acero, and it surpassed all expectations. Every detail—from the attentive service of our exceptional waiter, Jake, to the beautiful plating and thoughtful explanations from the chef—was impeccable and elevated our dining experience. Each bite struck a perfect balance of flavor and texture.
Known as the “GT” by regulars, this blind tasting offers no menu in advance. The chef curates each course based on the freshest available ingredients, both on and off the menu. While you might be encouraged to step outside your usual comfort zone, rest assured, it’s a decision you won’t regret. We also opted for the wine pairings, which perfectly complemented each dish.
In short, Acero has quickly become one of our top St. Louis restaurants. We can’t wait to return for another unforgettable meal. Thank you, Jake, Chef, and the entire Acero team!

Family get-together in the Lou with the suggestion of this unique restaurant. We tried the 4 course approach with the wine service which together hit a culinary high note!
I was not aware of crudo as a dish, but it was excellent! Chicken Milanese was choice for me, but a little lemony for my wife.
Walleye was an excellent morsel presented beautifully artistic, surrounded by veggie morsels.
Lamb chops were stated to be the best cut of meat my son ever had.
A note in the wine pairings. This may seem a little steep, but when are you going to get pairings from 4 different $50 to $100 bottles curated at your table on the fly?
What do you do when you're eyes beg you to order the whole menu? Return soon is the answer!

I LOVED this place!!! Omg the food was exquisite and service was A1. We felt so special going on our “anniversary “ dinner, the icing on the cake was the custom printed menus they made for us specifically for our special night. Just above and beyond. Another level I’ve never seen from a restaurant, truly.
The food was awesome we got the four course meal each so we got to try 8 different dishes total, and WOW. The highlight was the espresso ice cream dessert. My eyes have been opened to a whole new world I have dreams about this dessert now.
I can go on and on, but it was absolutely difficult to make decisions on the menu because it all looks so good. Rest assured, we were not disappointed in our decisions. We were genuinely going back and forth between the four course meal, or the chef special 7 course meal, (probably should’ve just gone for it 😂) but it was awesome, a fun experience, kind people, and really really good food.

This was easily a top 10 meal I've ever had.
We made a reservation at the bar and do not regret it as our bartender provided a phenomenal experience. He made us excellent cocktails, provided great recommendations, and guided the whole experience. Top knotch service, but let's not short change the food either because wow, was it good.
We each chose the 4 course meal.
I started with Gnocco Fritto, and those little might have changed my life! 2nd course I went to the Spaghetti Alla Chitarra, which was rich, hearty, and just a touch of spice. The wife had the Tagliolini Ai Funghi, and I could have been fooled that the mushrooms were chicken. The entree for me was Chicken Milanese, which had a perfectly cooked chicken with a sauce that reminded me of sauerkraut. The wife had the Duck Confit, which was sweet and flavorful. We finished out our courses with Tiramsu and Goat Cheese Panna Cotta.
We will be coming back!

Excellent Italian place in Maplewood. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very sociable and knowledgeable. amazing service throughout. We did the 4 course meal, which I highly recommend. If you have two people you end up trying a smaller portion of 8 different things on the menu. This was a perfect amount of food. The mushroom tagliolini was my personal favorite. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The ribeye, encrusted chicken, crudo, spaghetti, and torte were all highlights. Also, both the black and Acero manhattans were great cocktails. Very well balanced.

We took my son here for his birthday. The food was absolutely divine. A great culinary dance for your taste buds and olfactory senses. our server absolutely killed it. We did spend $100 ahead. Would we come here again? Especially if I impress somebody or it’s a celebration.

Delicious food! Highly recommend doing the tasting menu to get to try from each section of the menu. Generous tasting portions. We especially enjoyed the house-made bread, Raviolo, and Scallops (special). The staff was extremely friendly. We loved Simon the bar manager.
