"Started in Atlanta by founder James Whitner, this streetwear staple opened its doors in Northeast D.C. in the summer of 2018. Not only does the location house favorites such as A-COLD-WALL*, Fear of God and AMBUSH, but the brand had the inventiveness to create a two-suite “Living” concept directly above the space, decked with the likes of basketball planters, smart-home technology and Daniel Arsham-designed furniture."

The Building Once Home to the Sound Table on Edgewood Avenue in the Old Fourth Ward Sustains Serious Structural Damage | Eater Atlanta

"A boutique streetwear and lifestyle brand slated to have a future flagship location in a new four-story mixed-use complex being built on adjacent lots; excavation for that development began recently and has been speculated as a potential factor in the neighboring building’s structural failures." - Beth McKibben

I’ve bought three pairs from these guys . First two pairs they took my payment but couldn’t fulfill my orders.. 3 rd order I received a defective pair of dunks! Wouldn’t give a refund or exchange . Garbage shoe store ! Buy from Nike it’s much safer

Customer service is awful. While they offer a large selection products, their shipping practices are more than sketchy and unprofessional. I've had orders cancelled without explanation. I've had orders confirmed that took 3 weeks to arrive (I live in DC. They have a store in DC). Most recently, I placed an order and it has now been 2 weeks and I do not have shipping information. Label was "created" 5 days ago, but no shipping updates were provided. This has happened multiple times, to myself and my loved ones. The selection and products are good quality but the process and procedure in getting your goods make the experience awful. This will be my last time ordering from them and I encourage others to refrain from doing the same in hopes of actually receiving your purchased items in a respectable time frame...

I have been collecting sneakers for almost 30 years and this establishment is an experience like no other. I shop at the Washington, DC location for A Ma Maniere and I am always thoroughly impressed! The entire staff at the Washington, DC location is extremely knowledgeable, both in footwear and in the latest fashion, which is prominently featured throughout the store. The attention to detail that is given both to the customer and the product is top-notch. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly from the moment you walk into the store. They are there to help, but also allow you as a customer to have peace of mind and actually gather your thoughts on different products rather than hounding you or staying on top of you every second. For me, that makes looking around and shopping that much better. I couldn’t ask for a better shopping experience and will continue to spend my money with A Ma Maniere!

Stumbled on this place after looking at amiri’s website. This place was listed as one of its stockists in dc. I have never heard of it. But a high end men’s boutique is very hard to come by in this area. So I made the nearly hour drive down here from Rockville, MD. It’s almost inconspicuous between all the other row houses full of shops and restaurants on busy h street. Upon arrival the door was locked and there was a security guard at the door. They were only letting a certain number of people in at a time. I was a little surprised to see that I still needed a mask and the restrictions but I understood. Beautiful two level store with a well curated selection of luxury street wear with an emphasis on shoes. They had a few employees. One guy greated me but the others didn’t really interact. The guy upstairs helped me and he was cool when I started talking to him. I bought a pair of converse sneakers and an Amiri tee. Before I checked out I asked the cashier if I could return or exchange anything and she said no. Was a little surprised but it’s only because of the pandemic. So that knocked a star down for me. Otherwise this is a true hidden gem and a must visit for guys who are into luxury street wear. (Update on second visit: why doesn’t this place have a dressing room? It’s a clothing store! You have to go upstairs to try something on. Still not much privacy plus the employees have to leave and tell other customers that someone is upstairs trying something on. Just an awkward situation. No return or exchange policy still in effect which I think is weird at this point but that’s their rule.)

NEVER AGAIN will I purchase anything from this company. I ordered a pair of sneakers online. After a couple of days with no updates, I emailed about the order status. Was given a generic reply to allow up to 5 business days for order processing. Today is day 6. I've emailed a request to cancel the order and no reply. It's 2025. What company needs 5 business days to send shoes in the mail? I've ordered things from Asia that I received faster. What a joke. These guys can take their $500 wool hats, $700 hoodies and go pound sand.

Today was one of the worst shopping experiences that I've ever experienced. According to the scores website for scheduling personal shopping it apparently doesn't include shoes according to the manager Mike, at the DC store. Even on the front door it says that personal shopping appointments take priority over walk-ins. As I walked up to the front door, I was berated by some younger people waiting in line that had no care about the company's personal shopping policy. I was even met with threats by them. I did notify the store that I was waiting for the appointment and then was told by the manager Mike, that personal shopping appointments do not include buying shoes. Additionally, the store's website also states nothing about exclusions for personal shopping, it does say people aren't to line up, and it's obvious they don't care about all their customers safety. I wonder if NIKE understands what type of association they have with a store like A Ma Maniére?

I may have one of the worst situations dealing with them,,,when the Jordan 14s dropped I won't the eql raffle and it took forever to get a confirmation email,,,I had to contact them,,,they eventually told me it was being processed,,,then ultimately told me that they didn't have the pair,,,how if the raffle is to guarantee the pair?!?...but that whole company has been now for backdooring product (even investigated... James W avoided it by not claiming the money used).....Ps the do have some nice sneakers but I wait for the Nike snkrs drop from then on

A MA MANIERE is the truth. Their designs/materials that they utilize are top notch to say the least. Next level experience shopping at the DC location and they recently added a couple of elegant and classy rooms you can stay the night at on top. Check them out.

Yelp
Such an amazing store! I stopped by a couple times to check out the store just because how good it looks during the outside. My first purchase were 2 pair from here and it was also a good price! The customer service I got in the store was wonderful I was able to throw my phone on the charger haha and when I got on the top tier the employee was more than happy to help me and check prices for me job attitude included. The whole experience here 30-1 hr was cool and I'll most definitely be back maybe become my every time shoe shop

Yelp
Thieves..6 months now I've been waiting for my merchandise that I've never received..contacted them by phone and emails and no response back..over $500 dollars worth I have tried everything to no avail..don't buy online from this store they will rip you off too..

Patrick G.

Yelp
Made an order on their website only for them to ship me the wrong shoe size. Not to mention I waited almost a month for them ship. I have been trying to reach out to them but there is no phone number to contact anyone. I sent an email to the address they have on their website and have only gotten an automated message saying they do not accept returns. Seeing as they sent me an incorrect order, I do not I believe I should have to pay for this. This is highly disappointing and unacceptable behavior from a so called luxury store. If you decide to make a purchase online, just know you may not get the right thing and won't be able to get your money back.

Yelp
A Ma Maniere is an amazing boutique with beautiful luxury goods, great service, and fast shipping. A Ma Maniere is an example of how retail can be done to perfection with a human touch. Visit the shop or peruse the goods online, but either way you are in for a treat.

Yelp
Horrible customer service!! Went in looking around and the lady working there kept eyeing my fiancé & I as if we were going to steal. We went upstairs to check out what else they had cause the bottom floor had crap. Once we were upstairs the only lady working came half way up the stairs just so stare at us. Mind you they have several cameras so why not just assist us instead of making us uncomfortable!

Yelp
Great store, friendly staff and awesome selection. 3 levels of designer clothing, footwear and accessories. Best in the city!

Yelp
Small batch designer clothes. This place isn't cheap but the clothes are works of art! Support designers in the DMV!
