My favorite vinyl store in Manhattan! I've visited it many times and I always take a bunch of at least 20 records home. Second hand records are in very good shape, and they start at 2 dollars, can't beat that. I've built my RnB , soul and disco collection thanks to A1 Record Shop, it feels authentic and the staff is very helpful. If you are a vinyl fan, please take some time to do some serious digging inside this store.

Maybe the best shop I know of in NYC. I’ve visited 3 times & have always walked out with a stacked tote bag. A-1 has a high volume of inventory that seems to cycle fast. Most of the titles on the shelves are priced to move - there are some on the walls that you rarely see in the wild these days (and priced accordingly, as you’d imagine). I particularly enjoyed their singles boxes & the new wave section, where I found a handful of cheapies that were on my list. A record store for record diggers.

Amazing store & experience! One of the longest running record stores in NYC and I can see why. Great selection of vinyl, practically all genres represented. They even have bargain priced records outside the store. Pretty easy to get to and found parking right out front. I recommend getting there around noon when they first open. Staff is very friendly & helpful and the customers in the store were pretty cool, too. Music lovers hanging out together & shopping. I can't wait to go back soon! You could literally spend hours here...and lots of money too.

A classic and stylish place with records. Well-organized, good selection. I managed to find a great single. I definitely recommend visiting to any music enthusiast.

Love this spot. Been going here for ten plus years. Guy at the register in the last few always has something cool to say about what you are purchasing. Even though it’s packed. Great place and great vibes. Awesome hip hop selection. I found a bunch of great white labels here.

Deejay from France, this is my second time in New York, and AOne is a must ! Every time I visit AOne, I always find original LPz in good condition. The prices remain at market prices. As a passionate Digger, I will return to AOne !

I was recommended by someone I know about this place, so I thought I should check it out. The good part was I found inexpensive new wave records from the 80s. The bad part was I had to go around all these people because the space is tiny. There are records at the bottom, but being that I have bad knees I can't bend down to look at them. They also have crates of records outside of the store which I am told where the cheapest ones are at. I give this three stars is mainly due to customer service. As I approached the counter, I stood behind a white girl and the cashier was being friendly and flirty with her and told her which ones were good records according to his recommendation and she paid over $200 for her records and was given a bag with their logo on the fly. When it was my turn to approach the counter however, the cashier barely said anything to me. He looked at my records and was like "$40 card or cash?". He didn't say a thank you or anything and I don't wanna pull out the race card since there's a vast selection of R&B and soul records more so than rock, but the energy that I got didn't match AT ALL with the one that the girl in front of me had. With all that being said: vast collection, tiny space, but not so good customer service. I'll buy my records somewhere else where the staff are more nicer.
