Great place, great catalog of used vinyl in different conditions, most in excellent condition. I bought two first editions at very good prices.

A perfect record shop. It has its secrets to help ward off the tourists, but they are super experienced, have great taste and see right away who is looking for the right stuff. Their vibe is great towards anyone and they will help any customer find what they need, but in terms of pricing, you just have to aim high, shop big, and be interested in truly cool stuff. That’s where you’ll get rewarded. Basically, don’t go looking for The Beatles or Eminem records. The store had a wild stock of rarities, anything from techno, house, and rap to gospel, East Asian records, Latin (unbelievable salsa stock, truly), and metal. I never come out empty handed… well… maybe if I come in every other day, haha

They know and have it all! SUCH a cool vibe! Called my 20yr old and asked what he wanted from NYC and he immediately said, “Please go to A-1 Records”. He had a short and specific list and they had 3/5, in great condition. The specific Marvin Gaye he wanted was one of the only MG they didn’t have. They said the other one he wanted was also always out fast when it comes in. The collection is immense and the staff are knowledgeable, super helpful and cool:)

Best record store in the city! Great prices and selections. I particularly like how organized and broken down into genres the vinyl is. The vibes are immaculate and I will definitely be back!

Suuuper cool place to visit and browse. My boyfriend was upset he didn’t have enough time to properly look before our reservation nearby. Lol So many genres. They have a station where you can test out the LPs- loved that. Staff was great and super helpful. Can’t wait to stop in again, of course, with more time.

Cool place, a lot of variety for dj equipment, cables, vinyls, etc. New vinyl prices quite high, and the selection focused on hiphop, rap, jazz and rock. Also some used vinyls for cheap price.
