"Who would have known that a botanical garden exists in the middle of East Village? Actually, there are quite a bit of community gardens throughout the area, but 6BC Botanical Gardens is something special. It’s clean and well-kept, with lots of intimate seating areas throughout the garden. The perfect spot to get-away." - Champions

"One of my favorite things about the East Village is its community gardens, I haven’t seen anything like it in the rest of the city. The 6BC Botanical Garden is not to be missed, it’s otherworldly… truly a hidden paradise. There’s even a treehouse!" - Clémence Polès

Beautiful botanical garden maintained by volunteers. I’ve been lucky to find it open on mid-day Thursday outside of officially stuffed hours. Variety of plants, trees and flowers. Quaint brick paths to explore garden’s corners. So much more than typical community garden.

Little oasis in the concrete jungle. Special and magical nature escape. Times maybe different than posted. Went late day no one was there. So peaceful. They work hard to keep this spot so green.

Tip: I went on a Friday and it was open at 12 noon. So it may be open at different times. It’s a cute garden the floor didn’t stand out as much as some of the bigger gardens I’ve seen. But what gets at five stars for me is the treehouse. Again, I went off peak hours so I was actually able to get into the treehouse and explore. It does have seating, but it’s almost always taken.

We loved this tiny garden! Visited in late summer--planning to come back in spring. Read the interesting history on their website.

Beautiful little garden. I visited on a Wednesday around 2pm. The tree house was not open, but the garden was so beautifulI was not at the slightest upset. Great place to eat takeout or do some work.

What a cute community garden. I was passing by and thought I wasn't going to catch it open since the website said it wasn't opening until 4pm but I was able to get in around 1pm so stop by and see if it's open whenever you're in the area

The garden had a beautiful assortment of flowers. Put on your sunscreen and bring your snacks. It’s a nice place to relax and listen to nature while having coffee and pastries.
