"47 Ronin, Salamanca by id.real. Run by the funky Hattori Hanzo team, this is the more classy proposal. This cubic and elegant place is located in one of the foodies meeting points of the neighbourhood: Jorge Juan street.Surrounded by fancy shops and cozy terraces, the blackness and sobriety of this japanese-garden like space does not leave you indifferent. Here, traditional japanese gastronomy meets a more creative one in an open kitchen who serves a colourful and tasty food, made with prime ingredients."

randomly, while I was browsing Michellin’s guide, I landed at this amazing place. I called to reserve and they offered me a table next to their mini lab where they put together some plates. Since they are continuously evolving and innovating, they did not have a traditional menu, but offered us a tasting one, which was amazing. They have a sommelier permanently at their place, whom made an excellent recomendation. The head chef came to the lab and he even was plating some desserts. Amazing experience

Not very well known yet, 47ronin offers a fun, tasty experience. A young cook with a funky Oriental loving mind offers a menu that goes beyond conventional sushi and other Japanese food. A menu composed of several mini plates of different styles, maybe a bit long to my taste. Fair quality/price ratio. Pictures says it all!

Great EXPERIENCE! Starting with a nice wine recommendation from the Sommelier, and continuing with a tasting of their dishes, highly recommended!

Top notch asian food & service. Michelin star level. The price too (japanese but no sushi).

Unique Food Experience. Friendly staff. Surprising and delicious unique food experience. For Madrid a higher price level. Good wines. We went at lunch time. At first sight I was not very convinced because the tables by the entrance at daylight are not very inviting nor comfortable to stay. It looked cold and empty. The interior decoration is not the best. We asked to be moved to a table upstairs (though it was closed - we did anyways). The place is much better when you have a table upstairs! We had the menu to taste a bit of all. It was a great decision. Each dish was a delicious surprise. Don´t expect sushi: It´s rather a creative mix of Japanese and Mediterranean, modern style. Our waiter was very prepared to give explanations about it. And the end we were happy we tried this restaurant. It is a special treat. I wish them the best of luck.

What a shame. We had high expectations for this restaurant and we were quite disappointed. We chose the show cooking menu. Sadly we didn't see any cooking, only some sauce added to other people's dishes every now and then. There was very little ambiance as we were alone. The price was extortionate for the quality and the general feel of the evening. Madrid has many high end restaurants which would have offered more. The food was nice, however it was all fish and a little too much truffle. They kept the dishes 'secret', but I would have preferred to see the menu and then I could have changed our options. The wine was ok, again not very special, I would say too sweet in general. The staff were lovely and made a real effort to introduce the dishes and explain everything, but the whole thing just felt a little flat.

I went at my wife's suggestion as she had dined before, when the restaurant had an a la carte menu available. Things have changed and now there are only tasting menus. We ordered the smaller seven course tasting menu which was descibed verbally by the excellent waiting staff, and the food was tasty and creative as far as people arranging petals with tweesers will allow (this turned a one star review into a two). When the bill was presented the total was 213.50€ (two menus, three small glasses of white at a €8 each and a coffee). If you have been before, be advised this place has changed it's model and is now heinousley expensive without any clear pricing when you sit down. I consider this a breach of etiquette.

Excellent experience and service. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. We will be back
