I am very glad that for my first time at Bubba Gump Shrimp here in Miami that it ended up being a very pleasant experience. I will say that the reason I'm taking the star off is because it was very hot inside and it seemed as if the air wasn't working and the prices for drinks and food, for what you get is decent but a little too much. But I understand that's what you are paying when you are in downtown Miami. We were seated very quickly, there was four of us. I will say that the seating arrangement that they put us in, we were in literally the corner and thought we would be forgotten about because our table was hidden away in the back. Luckily our server came over rather quickly and got her drink orders and brought over water while we waited. I got the blue Hawaiian which came with a red white and blue Shaker that I could take home with me after I finished my meal. It was a very good drink however it was incredibly sweet and tasted as if there was maybe half an ounce of alcohol in it, for $12 it was refreshing but I would not order more than one. I do like the flavor of the rum and the juices all Blended well together. For my meal I decided to get a cheeseburger cooked medium and when it came out it was more on the medium rare side which I didn't complain about because I like having a little bit of red in my meat. However when I am ordering medium I want to make sure that I'm getting medium and not medium rare. The toppings on the burger are very fresh and the cheese melted perfectly on it as well. The fries on the side were seasoned beautifully and had a perfect crunch with every bite I bit into. Overall the meal was good however at $17 for the burger it is a little steep. Overall a nice little first visit to Bubba Gump and I won't be back if I am in the area and in the mood for burger and fries. Prices are generic for Miami especially when you're in a touristy area and the service was pretty good overall!

Service: I waited 5 minutes for someone to offer me a place to sit. it took another 5 minutes of me staring at staff on their phones to get someone to take my order. my appetizer came with my main course 30 minutes after ordering. I was almost done before someone asked how everything was I was finished for 10 minutes before someone offered me a new beer and I was able to ask for the bill. food: overcooked. flavours were ok, but overcooked shrimp are tough. nothing to write home about. Ambiance: Appeared clean, well lit, and music wasn't too loud.

I was thoroughly disappointed in this place. 5 yrs ago I was there with my son and we had a great time. Remembering that, my gf and I went there after our cruise before heading to the hotel. Walking in I was kind of disappointed they had the outside bar doors closed as that's where I wanted to sit but they wanted to keep the cold air in. Why bother having the outdoor bar doors . The service was ok at best. The girl working behind the bar gave the aura that she had no real desire to be there. She did her job but in between you could hear her gossiping with another girl about the staff at this particular location. They really weren't happy. At one point the manager (at least that's what he portrayed himself to be) was super rude to a hostess telling her in front of customers and other staff that she "... simply isn't doing the job properly" and he proceeded to mock her when showing her how to do the job and let people know the location was open. Maybe not have the whole restaurant closed up and the customers will know it's open ‍. The sampler platter was the best part of the visit. The shrimps and tortilla chips and dip and fish nuggets were delicious.

No. No. NOOOOOO. This is NOT how an establishment should be run. Piss poor customer service for our dinner. ***I'm writing this from my own personal experience. Please use this as a reference and try their services out for yourself.. or dont.*** I came here in a group of 8, and the wait time was horrendous. When I mean wait time, I don't mean the time to get from the door to the table. I mean, we waited 20-25min JUST to get our drink order! Like, come on! Once the waitress finally came to our table, we just gave her our drink and food order to prevent any further waiting. Here are the issues that I had with this place. 1. Long wait time for everything. (We would need small items and would have to wait so long to ask) 2. Never being checked up on (rarely any "Hey is everything ok/how's the food *add the manager to this - I'll get back to that) 3. Food was clearly sitting out waiting to be served. (Food temperature was lukewarm or just dried out) 4. Long wait time for food (YES. I put it again! That's how bad it was) 5. The prices. (Why am I paying higher prices for half-assed service!?) 6. ATTITUDE. (How are you able to provide this, but NOT actual good service. Im not begging for white glove service, but at least a respectful dinner.) As for the manager (I assume it was him clearly based on his interaction with the other large party sitting right next to us. The table had their order screwed up, and the manager came out with a smile on his face and really courteous. "Hey, what are we missing?" "What else can I get you?" "It's coming right up." All of this is great service...coming from the manager to that table. Not ONE time did my table receive it. But that's ok, I'll just continue to write reviews like this for terrible service I receive at establishments like this. NEVER. Again. No sir/ma'am.

It was 'just okay'. As an appetizer, we shared a bowl of clam chowder. It had nearly no clam in it and it was barely warm. We ate it as-served. I mentioned to our server after she came by, to mention to the kitchen to serve their soup warmer. She barely understood me and I don't speak much Spanish. We shared Forrest's Seafood Feast for our meal. Food was hot. Meal was 'just okay'. A bit greasy and not real tasty. Maybe it's me?

Not a good look for this restaurant especially in the middle of Miami. Choose another restaurant!

Get the stuffed shrimp!!!! Also the portions here are huge! I love the mixed shrimp basket with the tempura, coconut and fried shrimp

Our inaugural visit to Bubba Gump in Miami proved to be an exceptional experience, instantly becoming a favorite. Food was good. A little too spicy for me but it was delicious. Service was great. Sitting outside was best. People watching is always fun. Parking was $10 across the street for up to 2-hours. Would come again. Thank you

The best coconut shrimp ever! So good we ordered more for dessert. I could be done, but have to say that the shrimp scampi with noodles was pretty good as well. I also enjoyed the Caesar Salad more than most (the anchovy flavor was more pronounced, which I miss in most versions). This location has significantly more energy than any of the others that I have been to in the past. The servers were all very helpful and would ask if we needed anything (even though they were not our "main" guy). Consumed plates were removed immediately and our water glasses never got near empty. I do wish the restaurant was located on the water side of the shopping center (all the other locations I have been to have a water view) On the other hand, this side is less busy and has almost no "ocean" smell. Overall, a very pleasant post-COVID dining experience.

Okay, not the best choice for seafood, but it was the husbands pick today, so this is where we landed. Honestly, I'm not a fan of chain restaurants & frozen breaded food with lots of additives, but I must say our waitress was THE SWEETEST thing, made it worth it (although I won't return, lol).

It's a chain restaurant, I know, but I did expect more from it nonetheless. The space matches any other Bubba Gump - lots of references to Forrest Gump and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We were taken to a table right away and the staff that served us were friendly, but not overly so. We found the service to be "meh" at best. We ordered cocktails that said on the menu we got to keep the glasses but they came to us in different ones than were pictured and ultimately didn't get to keep them, which was part of the reason we ordered them, and they were also out of key ingredients in the cocktails and had to make alternate versions. I didn't enjoy my salmon very much as I found the whiskey or bourbon sauce to be pretty overpowering, and there were several spots were my salmon wasn't cooked enough. The fries were fine, the mashed potatoes were pretty bland. I enjoyed the fish and chips my husband got more, but still didn't love it. My nostalgia for a great movie won't be bringing me back to Bubba Gump, at least for a while.

It was 90 degrees outside ... no A/C. Food didn't arrive for 40 mins. When it did, it was just lukewarm with rubbery breaded fish. Waitress was little help even made us wait forever for our check. Do Not Recommend!!

Terrible service. Called ahead to let them know we had 20 people they said no problem. We sat over 3 hours. Do not go there unless you want to wait a long time. Food was not that good!

I went to Bayside this evening and walked around for a while. I was excited to try Bubba Gump Shrimp as I had never tried it before. We got to the hostess stand where there wasn't anyone posted. We waited about 10 minutes until we saw a staff member pass by, she saw us but did not acknowledge my party. About five minutes pass and we are still standing there. The staff member mentioned above came outside only to grab a party that she must have spoken to earlier who was waiting. Again, she did not acknowledge us standing there at all. Finally, a line began to form and she walked outside. Looked at the line and asked us for how many. We said two. Then she looks at the menus on the podium and looks inside and says "It's going to be a twenty minute wait". She doesn't take our name or anything and walks away. She passes by again and a woman from the party behind us asks if we have to stand in line. The staff member then says "Yeah you wait here or you can walk off and give me your name and I'll put it on the iPad". The lady looked skeptical like if she put her name down she would never hear back, as I felt the same way. The manager passes by and doesn't acknowledge us. But, I ask "So we have to stand here, no one is going to take our name or anything?" He replies in a condescending and rude tone "You're next, just wait here. We're full. We're cleaning tables now". Finally after contemplating, we decided we did not want to spend our money at an establishment with such poor service. Which was a shame because the ambiance looked great and the menu items looked intriguing. Unfortunately, due to the lack of professionalism and good service they lost our business. I don't recommend spending your money here for below mediocre service. Especially when there are plenty of other dining options in Miami.

Hate to unload on an entire restaurant just for dessert but that's all we had...fortunately. Went to a couple of places trying to find key lime pie but they were all out. We saw that BG had it so we went in. First, it took forever to get the slices to our table despite only a handful of customers. The slices were all different sizes and the whipped cream on 2 of the 3 looked like it was just flung on in a hurry. I can look past the service and presentation if the product is awesome but this was not even key lime pie. It was cheesecake that had a slight lime flavor. Not anything close to being key lime pie. I expect that in Kansas City or Des Moines but not in the heart of Miami.

Husband and I came here after a Miami heat game and were seated immediately. They mainly have seafood, but we were in the mood for a burger/handheld sandwich and they had exactly that. We ordered the chicken sandwich and the cheeseburger, both with fries, and it hit the spot. The prices were also great for being in downtown Miami: each item was about $14/$15

The staff was very friendly from the moment we walked in and it continued with fast friendly service! They have a nice menu with something for everyone. The prices are reasonable with good sized portions. The chicken sandwich was good as was the seafood combination. If looking for a good bite to eat that will fill your stomach without draining your pockets look no further. They also have a nice drink menu with specialty cocktails. Nicely themed as well! They also have a nice shop with quality memorabilia, t shirts etc. We will be back!

Such a fun atmosphere! Family enjoys the food and the service has been great in previous visits. Heading back there today!

Twice this week we went here for dinner, both times their wasn't anyone working the hostess podium...stood around for quite awhile waiting for someone to take our name, assign a table...something. Waitstaff wasn't even interested in our table. Finely had to ask an older lady if we could order dinner. While the food was good, everything else wasn't. This place lacks management, supervision...training of staff. It will be a long while before we come back.

Our server, Ryan, was super upbeat, personable, and very attentive. He definitely went above and beyond when serving and interacting with us. He really made our experience such a pleasure, and I don't have a single thing to complain about or critique. Super nice dude, and one of the overall best servers we've had in a while :)

Conveniently located in Bayside Marketplace, with outside seating & TV's so we enjoyed watching sports. This Bubba Gump location was super good to us... restaurant is clean, friendly and efficient staff. Our server was very attentive and helpful with the menu (too bad I can't recall his name but I believe is Ryan). Our food and drinks were amazing! We sat outside in the patio area so we had a great view of people walking by happily shopping away. Overall, we had a great experience at this location and will definitely return.

Frank was amazing! Not only were our drinks perfect, but this guy was multitasking a few different jobs and we never felt neglected. When you come here sit at the bar and watch Frank go! Run Frank Run! Best service ever.

Let's start with the condition of the restaurant. we were a group of 6 and sat outside, okay? That was a great idea since the inside was a bit warmer than I would have been comfortable in. Now the tables... the table we sat at was clean. However, only had a pepper shaker on it. The tables around us were unclean, unclean as food crumbs, and unwashed, while none of them had a complete setup of salt/pepper paper towels and hot sauce. I went table to table to collect salt, ketchup, and hot sauce so that we would be ready for our lunch once it arrived. The frustrating part was that there were at least 2 to 3 waiters/waitress standing chatting with no sense of urgency to clean up and do any prep work for the lunch crowd. The food arrived 3 orders of the crab and shrimp roll.. chowder.. Jambalaya, shrimp po boy, Baja ceviche, and 2 orders of calamari. None of the crab and shrimp rolls looked anything like the photo... they were skimpy, to say the least. It was almost like they were trying to make the stretch the filling to last ..at $24.00 a roll, I expected a full roll of crab lumps and shrimp. I wish I had taken photos of our plates to show just how they came to the table. The chowder was hot, as was the jambalaya. However, both were overfilled and spilled onto the plate.. no one bothered to tidy plates. The two orders of calamari were very much enjoyed by the guests... as well as the ceviche and the por boy. I know that this isn't a five-star restaurant, but dear God, simple steps could have made this a pleasant experience. Honestly, I didn't want to eat here since I had been to the chain in Vagas and really came away with the feeling it's an overpriced chain. I was out voted, so I wanted it to be a delicious and delightful time for our Miami day trip.. and went in with an open mind. Well, that's my review. I wish it was better, but then again, I wished I had a better meal.

This was my very first time at a Bubba Gump which has always caught my eye. I came to Bayside for a Heat game so we all agreed on Bubba. As soon as we walked to the host stand we were greeted with a cold, blank stare. I then told the host we have 3 in our party. We walk in near the bar area; the ambiance is very nostalgic and fun! Huge Forrest Gump fan here!! We got settled in to our table & waited for about 5-7 before our server came over. We ordered a couple cocktails; watermelon margarita which was terrible. About 15 mins later we ordered with our server Maria. She says "tell me what you want" immediately taken a back; but we order. 1/2 lb peel shrimp to start. It took about 20 mins to hit our table. Unfortunately, it was EXTREMELY overcooked. Super tough and bland. We asked for butter which was cold and had no flavor at all. We're starving and server is nowhere to be found. We eat as much as we can bare. Our entrees come 20 mins after that. Forrest seafood feast was okay. Just fried food. Can't mess that up too much. My son got the ribs; he enjoyed them. Towards the end of our visit we ordered two shots. Rumplemintz. Our server says "rum?!" "No, rumplemintz please." She walks away and we wait. For another 20 minutes. I just ask for the check. She then says "well your drinks are at the bar if you still want them." I agree. She brings over two cups with two rocks glasses with ice and lemon. She tells me it's rum. I simply tell her no, this isn't what we asked for. I just ask for the check again. Check is dropped off. She circles the bottom of the receipt that says "tip is 15%- 20%" Here's the kicker: she writes out " 20% = 21.38$" ON THE PAPER HERSELF. Honestly, it's too funny. I can only say the ambiance was the only thing they have for guests to enjoy. Food is subpar and service is terrible. Unfortunately, we will never be back.

I had their shrimp combo, and it was fried perfectly. I really liked the coconut shrimp. However, some of the sauces that they provide aren't that great-tasting, and some of the fries are overcooked. The service is lacking, since I don't get a water refill, and I've asked several times for it. When the bill came, the pen I used isn't working, and I had to find the server for 10 minutes before setting in everything. Food is 7.5/10, rounded down for the lack of service.

Terrible excuse for a Bubba Gump Shrimp! Five minutes to be seated, seven minutes before anyone asked if we'd like water, and the fries were definitely old, chips were stale, shrimp and chicken far overcooked, and the employees appear to hate their jobs. Overall terrible experience.

Frank is an overbearing bully with zero customer service skills. I watched him yell at other employees and call waiting customers with a hand wave and no greeting. And if you ask where the restroom is be prepared to get a short blast of disrespect. Would never come here again or recommend. Thanks Frank!!

Our tour bus went to eat at this place. Meals were prepaid. Being highly allergic to shrimp, I expected an alternative meal( they were informed ahead of time). All I got was a small dinner salad..and it was not even tasty or pleasant to look at. They did not try to accommodate and I certainly did not get my money's worth meal. Worst place to eat and not friendly. Blonde waitress made effort to ignore me, when I needed dressing..yes .no dressing sent with this yucky salad I give this place an F. Never will go back and never will recommend. Don't waste your time.

We decided to eat here before a heat game last Wednesday night. Great location to walk to the game. Had the typical bubba gump shrimp decor which is always fun. Food was served hot and promptly. We had the best server. They were so attentive and patient. We were a party of four, but the couple we were meeting with got stuck in traffic. They continually checked to make sure we didn't need anything while we waited. I unfortunately cannot remember their name, but they drew a heart on our receipt. Amazing service for a budget friendly restaurant. Better service than a lot of the nicer restaurants in Miami. Really wish I remembered their name so they could get the recognition they deserve. Highly recommend eating here as a break from the pretentious restaurants that seem rampant in Miami.

Our server Laura was an absolute sweetheart! She made sure everything was perfect for us and made our time here special! 12/10 recommend this restaurant! Ps. Grab the frozen mango margarita for an amazing time!

Great friendly waiter who was very experienced and knowledgeable! Service was a solid 10/10 food came in fast and was fresh and hot! The salmon was cooked perfectly as requested and it was delicious along with the steaming white rice and broccoli! My dad's burger was great and my mother got the same order as me and enjoyed the salmon as well!

The Bayside restaurant was good. The chicken, on the strawberry salad, smelled bad. Wasn't the best.

Honestly I dropped in because my daughter insisted and I knew the second I sat I wanted to leave there is no AC but my daughter insisted she's turning 12 tomorrow so I gave in we both had crab & shrimp boil this is an absolute thumbs down don't do it the crab was missing legs nothing about the boil tasted good I'm super disappointed I ordered a Bloody Mary it's still sitting on the table sorry this place only gets 1 star because at least my server was super sweet and understood me 100% I'm a local I enjoy good food if you want good seafood look up Hook n' Reel btw the crab legs were pencil thin! Just unbelievable I hated the amount of money I spent Period! And btw it was my daughter's birthday!

It's a fast food restaurant with crappy food and a crappy interior and nothing really healthy about it. People mostly eating fried food and drinking excessively. I don't know why I went in the first place. I will NOT return.

I know it's a chain, but honestly our food was great and the service was even better. I had the gumbo and a strawberry salad with shrimp. The gumbo was very tasty. I would have that again tonight. The salad was fresh but the shrimp were not seasoned. The rest of our party had variations of fried shrimp (coconut, tempura, battered) and a shrimp scampi. I like the tempura. It was well done. This location was busy but not crowded when we arrived at 6pm. The blender was well used because it was a muggy night and I'm sure that the walk up bar was busy.

I've been coming here for years and yeah sometimes you have to wait hours to get a table and your food but other times you don't it's a hit or miss. if you get there early around 8:00pm then you'll get your food fast and get amazing service but it does get really busy. The foods never changed still have the same good flavors! Ambiance is of course based on the movie, through out the years this place has stayed the same which is nice because of all the memories I've had when I was little and now I can share them with my sister :)

I've eaten at Bubba Gumps from Honolulu to Times Square to Miami. The food is always consistently good although I need for them to put the garlic shrimp with the garlic bread back on the menu. Once they found out that we were Landry Rewards members, AJ the manager, came over & greeted us & our waiter Brandon was very attentive.

got seated right away. the bayside marketplace is a nice place to go relax and walk around. took a bit to get our drinks which was just water and lemonade. waited a bit to order, was busy when we arrived, it started getting busy once we had put our order in. the server was nice but took her time when coming back to tables for refills we ordered the shrimp sampler with no coconut shrimp sub fried shrimp. 9/10, good crisp to the shrimp, the coconut shrimp here is good because we've had it before just not this time. fries are okay could use less of the seasoning. also ordered calamari 3/10, the calamari was over seasoned with i don't even know what seasoning but it was too the point not enjoyable. had maybe 7 pieces and the rest i just couldn't because it was so salty. side of cedar salad 8/10, can't go wrong with cesar salad but have had better. waited about 30 minutes for the food too which i guess i could understand. at the end when we waiting for the check there was circled tip amount which i didn't mind but why do you have to remind us after we payed that the tip isn't included, we know. just seemed a bit pushy.

Wish I could give this less stars , came on Tuesday evening and my partner and I got food poisoning. They are refusing to do anything about it because we did not go to the hospital. We had been traveling all day it was the only meal we had that day. Next morning we were both down with food poisoning extremely bad. Management kept saying there was no proof.

Of all the restaurants we tried in the bayfront area, this was the only good one. The food was satisfactory, and the server was friendly and attentive. The loud music from the photo booth is not within their control. We will try it again if we are ever forced to return to Miami.

I brought my parents here, while they were visiting from Atlanta, our waiter Ryan was absolutely THE BEST!!! He was very attentive and even did a Forrest Gump trivia with us when we finished our lunch. Service like this is rare and now they will always remember and want to come to Bubba Gump when visiting Miami because of Ryan!! Thank you for your amazing service. 10/10/2023

Came here with family and friends for what we were hoping would be a nice dinner. It all started with our waiter completely forgetting our order and asking again what we wanted. After 30 minutes or so, we received our appetizers. We only received our drinks that we ordered, after our appetizera were finished (about 45-50 minutes in) and when the drinks came, most of them were wrong. The waitress that brought the drinks just said "sorry" when we told her the drinks were wrong. We had to put our order in about 5 seperate times and ended up receiving our meals about 1.5 hours in, but they were about 10 minutes apart for each person. It was also much faster to ask for tap water at the bar than asking the servers. servers were either hanging out at the bar, or on their phone. We had 1 good server out of about 5.
