"La Catedral, San Juan by Ana Jovane Serrano. The San Juan Bautista Cathedral, was originally constructed out of wood in 1521. After being destroyed by a hurricane it was rebuilt in 1540 in a neoclassical style. Inside the cathedral you’ll find the tomb of legendary Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de León, as well as a shrine to the first Puerto Rican and Caribbean- born layperson to be beatified."
