Yelp
I go to this farmers market every Sunday that i'm free. They have loads of vendors, tons of fruit, and lots of hot/cold food to try as well as drinks, smoothies, and of course coffee.. My absolute favorite stand here is the Arnett Farms stand. They have the most amazing stone fruits and I go buy many pounds of them. Parking is usually just a little bit of a hassle, but i can usually find parking on some side streets a few blocks away. They have live music sometimes, one time was a mariachi band and people got up an danced, another was a quartet of string musicians.

Yelp
Never known Mar Vista Farmers Market existed until 2 Sundays ago when I visited Rasselbock, which was located right at the center of it. Passing by and seeing the tenants, I knew straight away I had to pay a visit so there I was last Sunday. The market opens every Sunday 9-2pm, offering tons of fresh produce, foods, and beverages, like typical farmers markets. It always got me excited that you could try anything before buying. Plus point, plenty of parking spots at nearby residential areas. Besides, it's nice standing under the sun in this chilly temperature. I got biased by how many selections of pastries they offered, having Jyan Isaac, Des Croissants, Bakers Kneaded, 4th St Baker, Maison Macha, and many others! Some of them I tried, some I had been wanting to so surely intrigued. My common farmers market visit would always be bunch of snacking instead of heavy meals to have space to try bunch of stuffs. First try was Beef Empanada from Mama Empanada, which was nicely heated before served. Quite steep in price tag at $7, with decent taste but wouldn't call it standout as my palate fancied more seasoning. Another ones tried were from Bakers Kneaded, having their Chorizo Hand Pie and Almond Croissant. Really wished both could be reheated as well! The hand pie was flavorful with buttery and flaky pie crust, which was the highlight despite I would fancy more chorizo than potatoes for the filing. The almond croissant was okay as I might desire more almond paste stuffing. Nonetheless, enjoying the crunchy almond on top. Going for my morning Joe, I tried Maple Latte from Refined Grind which got me hooked with aromatic coffee paired to just right dose of maple syrup. My BF's pick was Iced Vietnamese coffee from Kai Kai Dumpling, which he did enjoy. For to go, the friendly probiotic seller from Yallatizer's got me at first trial of their hazelnut yogurt. The flavor was so enjoyable that it felt like eating healthy chocolate mousse. Knowing this is super close to home, I can easily see it being my easy Sunday walk!

Yelp
This might be my favorite farmers market! I love the variety on vendors, the amazing amount of unique options for food, so much seating to eat/rest and overall just a great ambiance. I saw so many family & friends meeting up with their strollers, dogs, etc., you can tell this is a place people spend several hours rather than a quick stop. It's quite big, unsure if that's because we're close to the holidays but I was quite surprised. Next time I'll bring some of my knives, they have a vendor who sharpens knives, scissors, etc., there was a Hong Kong street food vendor selling Asian noodles...it was delicious! Parking was fairly easy if you're ok walking. Plenty of neighborhood and street parking in the area.

Serinee T.

Yelp
Today was my first time visiting this farmer's market, and now I'm hooked! The variety of fresh produce is SO vast. I got some beautiful squash blossoms, heirloom tomatoes for such a low cost, too! It's really hard to find a farmer's market that has it all, this one is hard to beat! There are so many produce vendors and hot food vendors. It can get overwhelming with the amount of people visiting, but it's truly so fun to stroll through on a Sunday. I utilized their market match, and it's such a great opportunity to get more produce for the same cost! Would highly recommend this market to anyone. Support your local farmers

Yelp
I adore this Sunday Farmers Market and try to get there every trip to LA. The produce stands are plentiful. When certain fruits are in season, such as peaches or blood oranges, there are many varieties. And did I mention free samples are happening again: for me during my February 2024 visit. Great food vendors too, including Empanada Mamas; they make a great chimichurri sauce. I like their veggie empanadas a lot. We also tried new to us Dave's Bagels this past weekend. Everything bagels were really good and whipped cream cheese with scallions was so light and good. I also have bought a lot from the cheese seller, most recently mozzarella and ricotta for our homemade Super Bowl party. Also got uncured pepperoni from the sausage/meat vendor and that was good too. We cut it thick and it did well in the Ooni oven. We also tried some great free yogurt and probiotic samples. We will purchase next time. Sampling has helped introduce me to a lot at the Mar Vista market. Always crowded! Fun vibe.

Yelp
Always a wonderful Sunday stroll through the stands of fresh produce, delicious eats and vibrant atmosphere. Something new every weekend along with the regular favorites. Love the endless fruit samples, the smells, beautiful flowers, and good energy and smiles from everyone there. The vendors are always eager to help and share their products and explain about the quality and value. Happy go lucky place to end a weekend at, especially with the perfect westside weather.

Yelp
I'm on this journey of trying out as many of farmers markets in the LA area as possible. It's becoming my new obsession lol! Let's just start off by saying parking is awful if you're trying to park close to the market. It's like a crazy jigsaw puzzle with cars parked illegally and dangerously in the post office parking lot. Manuvering your car through that is not worth it. Just try to find parking up the street in a neighborhood or library parking lot. Other than that, it was decent farmers market but I wish there were more vendors who catered to vegans/dairy-free. Some had vegan listed as options but once asked they said they did not have them. Why advertise it then?? There was a lot of variety in the vendors which I liked and it wasn't overly crowded. If you have a dog, sadly it is not dog friendly. Overall it was a decent market with a nice vibe!

Nishika T.

Yelp
I really wasn't expecting the size of this market and all the food options! There are great vendors and food. The lines do get long for some of the place so come early! The ambiance is exactly what you are looking for on Sunday farmers market. I believe they have dog sitting too!

Yelp
Was in Los Angeles for the weekend and had to pick a single Farmer's Market to visit and this one seemed to have the most positive reviews and largest in size. Had a great time walking up and down and hitting the side roads enjoying so many cool things besides fresh produce. One thing that is weird are the signs every 20' that don't allow dogs. I didn't bring mine but was put off by the sign I saw. For sure would love to return when back in LA.

Kelly L.

Yelp
Was in the area so stopped in for Sunday morning brunch and shopping! Was really impressed with this farmers market! Really large selection of vendors, hot foods, drinks, baked goods and of course fresh produce! Was able to try a large selection of foods! Here's what we got: - pork and green Chili tamale $5: nice and hot, good size, the salsa sauce was a bit watery and not spicy though - roasted potatoes from the chicken guy $8: had a nice crisp and great flavor! Will have to get the chicken next time, but the garlic sauce was awesome! - taro donuts $15: interesting donut, texture similar to mochi and old fashion, not my favorite but something interesting to try - mango coconut milk $8.50: different and popular drink, love the flavors and taste! - the strawberries are in season so I got a flat pack, so delicious!!!

Yelp
This market is NOT for foodies that want to cook (vs foodies that just eat), chefs, home cooks looking for interesting, different, seasonal, HIGH QUALITY produce. It's like one giant rip off - produce is very sub par. Weiser Family Farms, Murray Family Farms and Arnett Farms (not organic) are all fantastic vendors. Don't sign up for JR Organics CSA box - you'll get a box half full of unusable veggies - squishy potatoes, brown heads of lettuce, lettuce that is so dirty it can't be cleaned, bitter lettuce, tiny potatoes with loads of wire worm damage, wilted broccolinni, you name it, you'll get it in every single CSA box. It should be called the Bargain Basement Box. This market IS good for people who don't really care for high quality, in season produce (let's be real for these prices you should). There are loads of vendors here ready to sell lower quality produce (minus the vendors listed above) and product to you. You need to research the farms and ask the appropriate questions like: where exactly was this grown? When exactly was this picked? What type of pesticides do you use? All-in-all, the reviewer that called MV FM veggie theater wasn't that far off even if his review was a little unhinged. I don't agree every farmer here is selling wholesale, but there are always stands that will sell wholesale and trick you hence the need to ask questions and do your research! This market IS good for people who are just looking for something to do as it's more like a street fair than anything else. That's what most of the 5 star reviews are - people just stopping by looking for something fun to do, most of them out-of-towners in some respect. I guess for some people this is fun. There are a million food vendors, product vendors and there's live music. It's fun to poke around but I personally find this farmers market frenetic and chaotic, but I'm on a produce mission not an omg let's chill with my gals mission. Bread Kneaded is low quality and overpriced "bread" with no prices shown until you're at the register. Jyan Bread is SUPERIOR QUALITY! I'm still interested in trying out the Santa Barbara seafood guy. But for the most part I will avoid this farmers market and make the trek to Santa Monica Farmer's Market on Wednesdays instead.

Yelp
the largest farmers market I've been to in LA! it's pretty busy on Sunday, so I struggled to find parking closer to the vendors. There's actually plenty of parking around the residential areas, but keep in mind you have to walk. There's a bunch of hot food vendors in addition to the typical fresh groceries, but I found the coffee and food available to be of not the best quality and overpriced. Maybe I'm just not going to the right vendors. Not being dog-friendly, and the security are pretty strict about it. Some random old lady rudely commented on my friend's extremely well behaved service dog for just existing. So unfortunately, definitely keep your pets at home.

Alisa B.

Yelp
This is a HUGE farmers market with lots of local farms, small businesses, and food trucks. They have a diverse amount of different vendors. From vegan cheeses to dim sum to taro donuts... the options are endless! Parking can be a pain though. Overall, I was in awe of all the different food and fresh produce. I took home some sunflowers, tiramisu, and vegan brie :)

Jeff T.

Yelp
Large farmers market with great strawberries in the spring. Various vendors including flowers, fish, and mushrooms. Multiple food vendors

Anna P.

Yelp
The no dog this is weird. What's the point of a walkable farmers market if you can't bring your dog? Also I do not trust the pens to store your dog while you shop. Not returning

Natalie Z.

Yelp
I am ashamed that I have never ventured outside the Brentwood Farmer's Market, which is essentially in my backyard. This past weekend, I was thoroughly impressed with the offerings at Mar Vista. Right off the bat, you notice that this market is a lot more produce-heavy--there are notably fewer people hawking wellness stuff/crafts/etc, which I don't care for. I'm primarily here for the produce, so this was a pleasant surprise for me. I picked up some Arkansas Black apples from a stand selling wild apples, in-season kishu mandarins, and delectable Albion strawberries from Oxnard. Everything that I've ever wanted from the Brentwood market is here--e.g. a homemade pickle stand, mini Dutch pancakes (poffertjes), and freshly fried taro donuts. Another huge benefit is that it feels so much less cramped because people aren't dragging around their dogs; There's even a free doggy daycare adjacent to the market. As much as I love dogspotting, I think it's a lot more sanitary this way, especially since there's so much food out in the open. You also don't need to worry about tripping over dogs and accidentally stepping on tiny dog feet. I was also kind of grossed out last time I was at the Brentwood market when a dog pooped in the middle of the path...even though the owner picked it up, it was smeared all over the hot concrete (I'm sorry for the detail). With all this in consideration, this is my new favorite Westside market!

Luke L.

Yelp
One of the most crowded farmers market I have seen a more crowded than Brentwood one [Hours]: Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM [Parking]: Many visitors parked at USPS parking lot at the intersection of Grand View Blvd & Venice Blvd; however I was able to find street parking a block away on Ocean View Ave. [Amenities & vendors]: The market has approximately 50-50 food vendors & farmers booths. It is one of the bigger farmers markets in West LA and there are at least over 75+ vendors (possibly over 100+). There's a small section with tables with musicians playing songs. Free dog sitting available at Big Waves Laundry at Pacific & Grand View. Free bike valet & tune-up in front of Big Waves Laundry (3839 Grand View Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066). There's a cute directional arrow sign in the middle of the market pointing to the following booths: * Farmers (fresh-picked and dried fruit, nuts, berries, greens, mushrooms, veggies, grass-fed meats and cheeses, sustainably raised chicken, pork, lamb, raw cow and goat milk, etc.) * Ranchers * Salmon * Porta potties * Local flowers * Kids art * Fresh juices * Organic beans + grains * Plants + seedlings * Tortugo Brewing Co * Knife sharpening * Plant-based vendor row * Dining area * Pancakes + toast * Artisanal food * Wild local seafood * Sushi * Info/lost+found/EBT * Community info * Rotisserie chicken * Food truck * ATM * Free bike valet Overall this is one of the top farmers markets in Los Angeles with quiet a bit of vendors to check out.

Yelp
I finally had the opportunity to visit the Mar Vista Farmers Market and it exceeded all of my expectations. I was impressed with how large the farmers market was and by the variety of vendors. I was also very surprised to see that they even offer a dogsitting service for people visiting the market. It was very busy when I went, but I can totally see why. The Mar Vista Farmers Market is a true gem. It's definitely one of the best that I've been to. It's a great destination for a Sunday outing. I highly recommend paying a visit!

Inna I.

Yelp
Soooo good friendly vendors. A lot of organic and special one of a kind delicious food.

Yvonne M.

Yelp
What an awesome farmers market!! My daughters been raving about this place and I finally got a chance to check it out. I'm so glad I did, there were so many fresh food vendors, veggies, fruit, nuts, fresh soursop juice and some hot foods like veggie empanadas, smoothies, Naan bread, plant based breakfast burritos and so much more I can't mention them all. What a beautiful day to walk in the sun and get this vitamin d!

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
The Mar Vista Farmers' Market is a great time. The streets are closed off, but you will find parking and not have to walk more than a block to get to it. It is large, but not so huge that you will not have the time or energy to go to 100s of booths. They just have the best of the best. It is a locals' Farmers' Market but tourists are greeted with smiles. We are a friendly bunch. It gets crowded but not so bad that you can't get to a booth you want and get waited on pretty fast. They have everything, from fresh fruits and vegetables to meats and treats. They sometimes have wine and they always have flowers. We love their ice cream booth from New Zealand, and this is not an easy ice cream to find. They also have clothes and assorted things for your home. The prices are reasonable and there are plenty of places to sit and take a break or eat what you just bought. It is assessable to all and if you are wheel chair bound, you will get through just fine, because we simply are not a rude crowd. Kids run and have fun and there is always something for kids to enjoy. We love this place. So go there.

Gmoney G.

Yelp
place is incredible!! soo many amazing fresh eats. covered with people with little kids. i wanted some flowers but wasnt happy with the selections that were here. bought a box of strawberrys for like $6! i will def come back. parking is a nightmare as usu.

Yasmine S.

Yelp
I love a fun, local Farmer's market on Sundays and the Mar Vista's Farmers Market delivers! They block off the roads, but we were able to find residential parking less than a block away from the farmer's market. It was very lively with loud music and filled with lots of booths providing fresh produce, flowers, food, you name it! They even had a small area with live music people were dancing to and having a great time. We walked around the entire farmer's market and bought organic strawberries, fresh passionfruit juice, honey sticks, fresh almond croissants blooming bouquets, and even got free plants! All the vendors were super nice and welcoming to us. I love that these vendors also accept CalFresh, which make it 10x easier to have access to locally grown produce without high demanding costs! The only thing is that the farmer's market can get a bit crowded at times, but you can still access all the booths without waiting in long lines. Would definitely come back!

Lorenzo A.

Yelp
Let's keep yelp Real!!! This is the ideal farmer's market, the only downside is the parking situation. You can spend quite a bit of time here eating, drinking, shopping, and there are always events being hosted. Its a very family friendly environment. Plenty of produce vendors, all your fruit & vegetable options are covered. What makes this market stand out are the additional options; meat, seafood, flowers, honey, oil, milk variations, etc. Apart from the grocery items there are plenty of food and coffee options.

Jane H.

Yelp
By far my favorite farmers market on the west side! Love that it's so big and has so much selection. It's a great family friendly place and I love the mushroom vendors here. If you're looking for lions mane gotta come early they sell out so fast. Also love that they have a pet sitting area for our fur babies and it's all free just gotta make sure you come back within 30 minutes.

Ryna D.

Yelp
Given my love of farmers markets, I'm definitely on a tiny quest to check out as many as I can. While living in Marina del Rey, the Mar Vista farmers market on Sundays were one of the great markets near me. A good mix of vendors and food trucks. Not a large market but quite popular and still a great variety. As always, come early for the best selection!

John R.

Yelp
Fantastic array of produce and prepared food vendors. Everyone is friendly. Features large tent farms (e.g. Arnette's, Gloria's), specialty farms (Pudwill Berries, Kaiko for eggs, BRD for meats...). There's a huge range of prepared foods as well. Good Morning Vietnam is the best pho I've had in LA (hands down). There are vendors specializing in crepes, empanadas, ramen, boba, sticky rice, and multiple coffee vendors. Not only do they enforce the no animals among the food laws, but there is a FREE dog sitting service. Most weekends, It's bustling; be prepared for crowds.

Sophia T.

Yelp
Mar Vista Farmers Market is the real deal. Roads are closed, and many tents, businesses, and people appear. At the market, you can find: -Fresh produce -Juice, coffee, and refreshing drinks -Food trucks and tents -Snacks and sweets -Clothing and jewelry -Countless small businesses Even for browsing, the farmer's market offers a great experience and atmosphere. Though dogs are not allowed (only service dogs), there is a free dog-sitting area. I saw a sign that also offered a free bike valet and tune-up. Today, my partner and I bought fresh juice, hummus dip and pita, and non-refrigerated eggs. We also enjoyed walking around and absorbing all the options around us. Whether you come for grocery shopping, lunch, or even to stop by the homemade dog food tent, the Mar Vista Farmers Market is the place to be on Sunday!

Natali Z.

Yelp
I have been shopping here for 13 years. Best produce . Loving it. All organic. Good atmosphere

brian b.

Yelp
They don't allow dogs at an outside farmer's market. That's the dumbest rule I've ever heard. Anyway, it's overpriced and parking is damn near impossible so save your money. Also you can get all the exact same produce that they sell here at whole foods. They buy from the same wholesaler. This is vegetable theater!

Rose S.

Yelp
Love this farmers market. Wish it wasn't SOOO crowded but people come from all over LA because they know how awesome it is and what great vendors they have. I try to go every weekend, kids love it too. There's not only amazing produce from the farms but the food vendors are also so great.

Diandra L.

Yelp
The Mar Vista Farmers Market is absolutely marvelous. On a recent trip to LA, I found myself staying in Mar Vista. Both our host, and some local friends reccomended checking this spot out on a Sunday. I'm so happy we did! The market is rather large, and has so many amazing offerings. From a bounty of produce and florals, to delicious eats, and local meats/eggs/poulty - I absolutely LOVED it! If I was a local, I would most definitely be here every weekend as the variety and pricing were amazing. As a tourist though - I enjoyed eating my way thru the many food stalls including arepas, dutch pancakes and the most wonderful shaken mint latte I ever did see. It gets pretty fully, but there is lots of seating throughout for you to enjoy your haul.

Prairie S.

Yelp
This is an expansive Sunday market that truly feels interwoven into the "neighborhood" streets, such as they are in the midst of West LA's impersonal, auto-centric urban sprawl. The market comes alive right between a gritty, funky Venice vibe and a more elitist "Grand View" Avenue sensibility. Somehow less pretentious and much more extensive than the Sunday market in Santa Monica, this market will fill up your cooler with perishable produce for the week, and longer if you take into account all the dried fruits, nuts and ecclectic oils and cheeses you can pick up here. The smell of the falafel being fried is a big draw among the big selection of prepared foods that also include stalls selling dumplings, vegan bowls, home-made Japanese foods, Vietnamese rolls, French crepes, and Indian food. Some impressive bakery offerings show up here if you need an oversized almond croissant ($5) with your Sunday coffee. The stalwart organic vegetable sellers are truly a boon with non-industrially produced lettuces (and therefore safer from salmonella contamination) and varieties of other greens, in addition to cruciferous and root vegetables. I buy freshly plucked citrus fruits and guavas here and also pick up pasture-raised eggs from one of several sellers. They frequently have live music performances when a DJ isn't spinning tunes in front of a funky mural. A bike mechanic offers free tune up services. With great community vibes you can enjoy a Sunday morning buzz from neighbors and coffee, and if you can walk or bike here along the dedicated bike lanes on Venice Boulevard, then all the better.

Ryan R.

Yelp
WARNING: MAGGIE'S FARM IS A FRAUD !!! I'm a former employee of several years with Maggie's Farm owned by Nate Peitso. I think everyone should be aware that they do not grow approximately 90% of their produce. They purchase it in bulk from Kenter Canyon Farms who supplies both Whole Foods and Bristol Farms. Do yourself a favor and purchase the same product for less at those stores or purchase from a more reliable vendor at the farmer's market.

Karolina N.

Yelp
Fantastic farmers market! Great selection of vendors and farms. I like that I can go shopping for fresh produce and get breakfast/lunch in the same place. My friend and I both got vegetable dumplings and matcha boba teas from Kai Kai. We were able find a spot to sit at one of the many tables near the food vendors/trucks. In addition to wonderful produce the market has a great selection of breads & baked goods, and miscellaneous items such as tea, plant-based cheeses, juices, and many more. The later you go the smaller the selection may be at certain spots but vendors may also offer deals - bit of a gamble but I walked away with some good produce deals. Check it out!

Eric F.

Yelp
A most legit Farmer's Market, just be sure to come EARLY! My wife and I arrived within 10 minutes of opening and we were stuck in line for ~45 minutes - if you can get into the initially line prior to opening, that'll probably be your best bet. That said, the variety of stalls was seriously impressive with tons of growers, clothing, jewelry, etc. Highlights included Alana's Coffee Roasters, Hemera's Bench for New Zealand pies, and The Kai Kai Dumpling Co that even served fresh boba. For strawberry fans, definitely beeline it to Rodriguez Farms and theirs were by far the sweetest of the several growers we've tried between this market and the Saturday one in Playa Vista.

Issabelle F.

Yelp
5 big big big bright and shiny stars for the Mar Vista Farmers Market. My gal pal and I were visiting LA for the weekend and stayed in the Mar Vista neighborhood. Our Airbnb host and a few local friends recommended this market to us on the Sunday we were in town and since I love checking out local markets in every city I go, this was a top must on our list. We came by around 10am and it was in full swing. There were tons of vendors left and right, that offered just about everything - fresh produce, jars of pickles, empanadas, florals, coffee, and so much more. Since we were going to a winery later that day we didn't want to eat too much, but we were still able to try chicken avocado arepas, cinnamon and sugar dutch pancakes, habanero jack cheese, and shaken iced lattes, which were all delicious. All the vendors we interacted with were awesome and are all passionate about their craft which is always inspiring to see. If I lived in LA, this market would be a regular weekend activity for me. I'm so happy that I was able to check it out at least once! Thank you Mar Vista Farmers Market for a great Sunday morning!

Jeff K.

Yelp
If you live near Mar Vista making this a Sunday ritual is a no brainer, but definitely worth the trip if you're not nearby. My favorites are Les Délices Du Four French Bakery and Kenter Canyon Farms for their fresh variety of lettuces.

Peijean T.

Yelp
Love this weekly Sunday farmers market! On Sundays there are two in the area with the other off Motor Ave in Palms. This one in Mar Vista is much bigger. When we visited recently we bought freshly baked Homeboy industries pumpkin nut bread and fresh pasta by the stand next door. Because it was near closing we got a crazy good deal from both vendors! We also took home a big tray of 3 locally grown strawberry baskets for very little compared to what I would pay in the grocery store. Plus they were much more tender, red, plump and delicious than the supermarket varieties which are bred to ship across pig distances. They have lots of hot food options like Crepes and the Waffle food truck WAFL. We also spotted catnip and wheatgrass for your pet! I will definitely be back!

Joni P.

Yelp
Wonderful farmers market 2 blocks from our sons. Bought heirloom tomatoes, nectarines, donut peaches, cherry plums, cabbage 3 varieties, carrots 4 colors. Bought 3 mini pies, Pkg of Oma's puff pancakes. Grabbed a crepe on way out with bananas strawberries & fresh squeezed lime juice inside & on top. Sprinkled with powdered sugar. It was delicious.

Daiva H.

Yelp
While this farmers market is not my favorite, I do go there, because it is convenient. It has several farmers, that also go to my favorite Santa Monica Wednesday market, but it doesn't sell raw dairy, and I didn't find eggs with truly dark yolks either. But we buy watermelons, grapes, strawberries, kiwis, potatoes, various vegetables here. So thankful, that farmers take time to come to sell real fruits and veggies to us. I avoid ready food vendors as most do not use food they grow or from other small growers. And yes, there is a problem of drug addicts walking around, but they are now pretty much everywhere, so always have some sort of self defence device. usually not a problem, but better safe than sorry.

Georgina B.

Yelp
I've been going for years, homeless encampments on corners, it smelled like urine and they were begging at the entrance, UGH! Today, I totally felt ripped off, I bought 5 carrots and it was $4.00! The farmer didn't have prices posted. I went home and weighted them and it was short the 2lbs I was charged. I won't be going back anytime soon.

Terri C.

Yelp
I love visiting farmers markets because they usually offer a great food selection, the people watching is usually fun, and you're outside in the (usually) fresh air. The Mar Vista Farmers' Market fits this bill. My husband and I visited on a recent Saturday morning with my parents, my brother, brother's girlfriend, and a cousin. With a group of that size, it's simple to find something to eat that everyone will like because there are numerous food choices. You just need to walk around and look to see what is offered that day. The various dishes we ended up with from separate vendors: empanadas, acai bowl, avocado toast, breakfast burrito, and pupusas. Our group scored a table that fit us all and we enjoyed our food with a live band providing music. I would definitely come back again to eat, shop, and socialize.

Jenni S.

Yelp
I love the Mar Vista Farmers Market. The have a great selection of vendors and a pretty great layout. I think going during COVID times actually made it a better experience in that it wasn't packed and you had the space to really look at what each vendor had without blocking the view for someone else. We arrived around 11:15, found street parking super quick and stood in a pretty short line. I believe there are two points of entry which helps reduce the line time. We got some great fruits and veggies from a handful of vendors - Suncoast Farms, Weise Family Farm, Gloria's fruit and vegetables, and Sunrise Farms. We picked up some beef from Jimenez Family Farm and Beef Broth from Smart Simple Gourmet.

Excellent, I love it here, my Sunday staple for fruits and vegetables to use in my juicer. Variety, and assortment of prepared food and a great experience for anyone. They always have a pet area!

Yelp
Wondering where to find me every single Sunday for the rest of forever? THIS IS IT. Stumbled upon this market while on a run and am so happy I did. What a lovely, family friendly, free (unless you drop all of your dough on acai bowls and organic veggies like me) weekend activity on the Westside! Mar Vista Farmers Market is every Sunday, rain or shine, year round. It takes over two or three street blocks near Grand View and Venice--I've always walked and know there's bike parking, but parking with a car might be a little trickier. The market itself has a great mix of produce, flowers, other food items (dips, honey, etc) and food carts/trucks. I love grabbing a coffee from the Refined Grind folks (they're so nice!) and a refreshing smoothie bowl from ButterSweet Minis before walking around to sample and buy lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Going early gets you a better selection, but if you head there after noon a lot of vendors are rockin' deals to avoid bringing as much back with them. I got some yummy organic cucumbers, green beens, carrots, spring mix, and heirloom tomatoes for $20. Can't wait to come back week after week to support our local farmers and artisans!

Yelp
Excellent selection and fresh choice. Specialty items are worth the try, including the drinks. Need to leave you dog at home or drop off at the station where they will watch for you while you shop. Try the baked goods - the blueberry scones were excellent.
