"When: 4-8pm, Daily The Deal: $5 Well Liquors and $3-4 Draft Beers NW 11th Street is generally a place you head to if you’re trying to go clubbing for 23 hours straight, but The Corner also works well for people who’d like to stay away from those loud dance floors and offensively priced beers. They have solid Happy Hour cocktails, or just come for a beer and a hot dog as the sun sets over Downtown. " - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer
"The Corner is a dim little cocktail bar where it feels like 4am no matter what time of day you’re drinking here. Plus, it is also possible to sit outside even if it’s raining. The sidewalk seating is covered just enough that you can watch the rain pelt the street from the safety of your table. And if the storm lingers and you start to get hungry, order a round of hot dogs from the kitchen while you wait for the clouds to clear." - ryan pfeffer
"A quintessential after hours chill spot for local artists and creatives. Chat about that upcoming project with friends in an unpretentious setting over a full menu of classic and specialty cocktails, craft beers, soups, sandwiches and snacks, or simply make Tuesday Night Jazz your weekly ritual." - Lemon Yellow
"The fanciest thing about The Corner is the cocktails, and that's a good thing. Dark, rough-cut wood and dimly lit, as a proper speakeasy should be. Open late every night, making this spot a perfect nightcap destination." - Olee Fowler
"It’s not the biggest jazz night in town, but squeezing close to inebriated strangers is what makes The Corner so great. And this place’s longstanding Tuesday jazz night is still one of our favorite times to visit the classic Downtown cocktail bar (that makes a very solid hot dog, by the way). The jazz starts around 10pm and happens inside the bar, wedged into the corner. Come early-ish if you want a table. If you don’t care if you sit or stand, come any time before 1am, when the music ends and the late-night crowd takes over. " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
