Nestled on Edinburgh's iconic Princes Street, this elegantly renovated townhouse hotel blends historic charm with modern sophistication, making guests feel right at home.
"A handsome townhouse built for Scottish politician Sir John Clark of Penicuik, 100 Princes Street was turned into a hotel in the 19th century, as the Scottish capital took off as a destination for Victorian travelers. A couple of hundred years later, the Georgian space on one of Edinburgh’s best-known thoroughfares was renovated by Red Carnation Hotels (also behind Ireland’s Ashford Castle), with interiors inspired by designer Alexander McQueen. Most of the rooms overlook Edinburgh Castle, the city’s biggest hitting landmark, but we’re most excited by the 200-strong fine wine wall from the family-owned vineyard Bouchard Finlayson."
"On the city’s most iconic street and in the shadow of its hilltop castle, 100 Princes Street is set to bring new life to a centuries-old address. Honoring heritage and craftsmanship, renovations have been respectful yet progressive with a sense of style and sophistication. Divulging no secrets from the outside, checking in here has a feeling akin to that of slipping off the street into an exclusive member’s club, where staff know you by name and your every need is anticipated. In short, it makes Edinburgh feel like home."
