"Forstbaumschule, Brunswik. The 'Forstbaumschule' was founded by August Niemann in 1785 as Royal Danish School of Forestry. One hundred years later, the school was moved back to Copenhagen and the area was modified into the first public park in Kiel in the style of an english garden. Today the 'Forstbaumschule' is a 12,5ha protected area with over 500 different tree and shrub types that houses one of northern germany's biggest beer gardens.Open daily: 10am – 1am"
