"Voltaire, West Bottoms. Voltaire has some of the best bar ambiance in the city. Perfect for a date. Great for happy hour. Or solely for an incredible dinner. The long and narrow space is dimly lit with a rotating cast of good art and seasonally shifting cocktail and food menus. I recommend simply ponying up to the bar, talking likes and dislikes, and letting their incredibly talented bar staff make you just what you need. Then, order some food whether you’re hungry or not, because it’s incredible. Charcuterie plate? Yup, always. An entree? Yes, probably that too. Open Weds–Sun @4pm. Side note: Voltaire is also taking over the shuttered Golden Ox restaurant across the street, with a planned renovation and rebirth in early 2017."
