"Davis Theater, Lincoln Square. This theater is a neighborhood favorite and has been featuring flicks since 1916. In celebration of it's 100th year in 2016, they remodeled every inch of the theater to restore it back to its glory but with all the modern amenities like comfy seats and toilets you're not afraid to sit on. With only 3theaters, it’s one of the few operating neighborhood movie theaters in Chicago. They mostly show new releases, with the occasional second run of older films, and there's a concession stand too. Alongside the remodel, they bought the space next door and turned it into a bar and restaurant called Carbon Arc. It's a great spot for dinner or drinks before or after a movie. The Davis and Carbon Arc are as local and independentas it gets here."
