"We wouldn’t fault you for assuming Luv2Eat Express was just a takeout version of its famous sibling in the same strip mall. We kind of did. But then we swung by this tiny steam table spot in Hollywood and realized it’s a different concept altogether, serving homey Southern Thai curries and stir-fries you won’t find elsewhere. Ordering is done cafeteria-style: pick a combo plate ($18 for three dishes with jasmine rice is a perfect lunch) then choose from a dozen or so options like Phuket-style braised pork belly, sour yellow curry with bamboo, and tamarind-glazed fried fish cakes. Every dish is incredibly flavorful, and often, incredibly spicy. So much so that they put a flaming “caution of spiciness” sign out front to warn customers. Proceed accordingly, and grab a black thai iced tea from the cooler in case of emergency." - Brant Cox
