All Those Viral Croissant Spin-Offs, Ranked - New York - The Infatuation

"There’s nothing quite wrong with this one, it’s just a little boring. The muffin-croissant hybrid seems to live in a liminal dough space—neither crackly enough to be a croissant, nor sweet and crumbly enough to be a muffin—and it doesn’t have enough filling (we tried the Nutella) to justify its existence. Don’t get us wrong, we love C&B. But on future visits to this East Village bakery, we’ll stick to our regular order: the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich." - willa moore
