Salt & Straw Ice Cream Launches Student-Inspired Menu | Eater San Diego
"I'm excited that the Little Italy scoop shop is serving up a special monthly menu for April starting today; co-founder and head ice cream maker Tyler Malek created the flavors based on suggestions from California elementary school students, and a portion of proceeds from the new lineup will benefit the schools. The menu includes Mango Chamoy Sorbet, Maple Peanut Butter Brioche French Toast, Coke Float Carmel Volcano, Lots a’ Nacho (cheddar cheese ice cream with tomato jam, candied tortilla chips, and avocado fudge), and The Cookie Monster, a blue-hued vanilla ice cream featuring chunks of black fudge and Oreo cookies." - Candice Woo
