"Bad Harriet brings a subterranean bar, located in the basement of the historic Aspen Times building, with craft cocktails and small plates. The lounge gets its name from the wife of Hotel Jerome’s original proprietor Jerome B. Wheeler. “Instead of referencing her as her otherwise well-behaved persona, Bad Harriet gives her narrative a cheeky twist.” Cocktails here include the namesake Bad Harriet with Woody Creek single barrel rye, roasted pineapple, and pomegranate bitters; The Dame with Tequila Blanco, jalapeño consommé, citric, and honey; The Duke with mezcal, Cocchi vermouth di torino, Galliano, and Bookers bitters; and The Hemlock with Stranahan single malt whisky, homemade spiced ginger beer, and rhubarb bitters. Snacks range from deviled eggs and Rocky Mountain blinis with trout to elk sausage with cheddar and jalapeño and Dungeness crab tots. Diners can order desserts such as the Valrhona chocolate souffle, carrot cake madeleines, or churro ice cream sandwiches. The lounge is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 6 p.m. to close." - Susan Stapleton
