"The Dallas-based Velvet Taco, the “temple to the liberated taco,” is opening in Buckhead Market Place in the same complex as the Whole Foods on West Paces Ferry next spring, the AJC reports. Their motto is “tacos without borders.” It alludes to the “liberated” takes on the taco, like the spicy tikka masala, Nashville hot cauliflower, or crawfish and pork jambalaya. While open all day, Velvet Taco’s real target market is the late night crowds. This area of Buckhead has several nearby nightclubs and is home to the concert venue Buckhead Theatre. The president of the restaurant, Clay Dover, told Fast Casual (sorry FC, this Buckhead is part of the city of Atlanta, not its own town), “I guarantee that people living in Buckhead have never had anything like Velvet Taco.”" - Beth McKibben
