"An intimate 430-square-foot hybrid ice-cream parlor and cave à vin in Paris’s 11th arrondissement, opened in early 2021 by chefs Robert Compagnon and Jessica Yang-Compagnon as a follow-up to their neighboring project. Initially selling bottles of natural, organic and biodynamic wines and cartons of artisanal ice cream for takeaway, it now pours glasses and serves scoops at a horseshoe bar with about a dozen counter seats, drawing a loyal, intergenerational neighborhood crowd that often spills onto the curb. The offering pairs simple savory snacks—homemade focaccia, finocchiona and other Italian cured meats—with a vast selection of natural wines and playful artisanal ice-cream flavors like cold brew and crunchy peanut, banana crème crue, olive oil and apple crumble. The vibe is joyful and anything-goes, where parents bring children for cones while others linger over wine, and patrons’ dress runs the gamut from high-fashion to bohemian to normcore, giving the place a casual, block-party feel." - Lindsey Tramuta
