"How did it strike you on arrival? The Art Deco entrance is elegant and welcoming, but the low lighting—reminiscent of a speakeasy—gives this 16-room hotel a distinct cool-factor. Nice. What’s the crowd like?A mix of business and leisure travelers, some more dressed up than others, love the Hippodrome's design-centric rooms and location just a stone's throw from Spain Park and Mexico Park. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. The dark woods and maroon-grey palette make the spacious rooms feel plush and luxurious. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The bed is so comfortable, you'll melt into it after a long day on your feet. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase?I appreciated the Molton Brown bath products. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.If you're lucky enough to book the penthouse, you can expect views of the city from your shower. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word? The Wi-Fi is free and strong. Room service: Worth it?Room service options are extensive; you can either order from the hotel restaurant or local spots with which it's affiliated. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.The hotel is small, so there's no gym, but guests who want to keep up their exercise routine can use a local one just a few blocks away for free. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay? The perfect location on a quiet, leafy street in Condesa." - Susannah Rigg
