"Surrounded by a number of standard-issue chain eateries in a Natomas shopping center, this Cantonese restaurant is a hidden treasure. On weekend mornings, Chinese families pack the oversized tables for a spectrum of exquisitely prepared dim sum. Evenings however bring groups of friends eager to sample succulent seafood sourced from the massive live tanks that line this restaurant’s back wall.Over on the menu, the dim sum selection features the standard array of steamed, baked and fried delights, including barbecue pork buns, rice noodle rolls, and dumplings. Came for dinner while we were on vacation. It has a pretty decent review for a Chinese restaurant so we decided to try it. Their website says that they have dimsum everyday so we assumed all day. When we got there there was a sign on the front counter that "No dimsum today." Pretty disappointing! But it's ok we could try their other dishes. So we ordered their combination seafood chow mien and their chef barbecue combo of crispy roast pork and white chicken. The pork was tough, dry and looked like it was sitting in the kitchen that morning. Chef didn't even care to re-heat at the least. The chicken was all bones. The noodle dish was just ok and the tea was not free. It was a let down. There were 2 other people dining aside from us. The place was big but very dated. The furniture was old and dirty. It was not worth the price.

Google
Very popular dim sum restaurant in the Sacramento area. Seems like they made the Michelin guide! They are noticeably very efficient and fast, being able take your order and bring out the food within like 10 minutes. And this is while actually seating every table in the restaurant. In terms of food, nothing was bad or a problem. Everything was fresh and either good or fine. However, nothing was really standout. Still this is a reliable and top dim sum option in the area.

6/2025 dinner, roasted duck was good. Seafood crystal noodles bowl and veggie were decent. Chicken was ok. Could be better. 12/2023 Weekday dinner, lot of rooms to enjoy your time, good service. I was craving for dimsum and ordered some. The xiao long bao were super old and dry. The sticky rice was still decent. Not recommend dimsum during dinner here. The soup and veggie were decent. 3/2023 came for dinner. Most dishes are decent, such as the crab soup, fried rice, sweetsour fish, fried oysters. The dessert was tasty. But the vegetables were tough, the chicken and roasted pork was old and salty. 11/2022 Dimsum: food was delicious as freshly made. We arrived early, right before they opened. Price is a bit higher than average. Nice place. Recommended.

Google
The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered crispy pork buns, sticky rice, shanghai dumpling, rice roll in XO sauce, and mochi with black sesame. The mochi dumpling was very sweet, but other than that very good. Only gave service 3 stars as we ordered waters which never arrived. Would still come back though!

Google
I love it if the area and come here for Dim Sum each time I pass through. This is generally a very good experience. On this visit I found the service to be lacking and some of the dishes to be..., untasty (being polite). This is still one of the best dim sum restaurants in northern California, but it seems as though they are resting on the laurels they have received and have allowed the quality that got them there to slip. I believe I'll wait and go to a favorite in San Jose next time instead.

Google
The har gow and siu mai are to die for - the flavors are so rich and delicate at the same time. The service is always great. The atmosphere is lively and vibrant, perfect for a weekend brunch with friends or family. The prices are super reasonable! I've been coming back here for months and I'm still discovering new favorites on the menu

So good! Highly recommend. Great ambiance and great food! Orange chicken, soy sauce chow mein are shown. Waitress recommended salt and pepper pork chop and they were absolutely divine. You can see them in the corner of the chow mein picture.

Google
The Yue Huang Restaurant is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Sacramento area. I've been here many times for Dim Sum or dinner. It always tasted good. I always received good service. The dining room is beautiful in Yue Huang Restaurant. They have different sections where you can host a big or small group of people. The parking lot is usually busy when I'm there, especially if they have a big party. Try to come early to ensure you can get a parking space near the restaurant.

Yelp
My favorite is the pineapple buns with salted egg yolk SO good. Chicken feet and siu mai are really good as well. We tried the honey bbq pork for the first time and it was okay, kinda of hard and chewy like it's overcooked and dry. Our hot tea was really potent too. Went for brunch at like 11 am on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy so service was fast, but we go here often and the food served is sometimes just warm. They have lots of tables and decorations are cute.

Yelp
Food: The pan fried buns I got looked different from the pictures and were more steamed and super soft than pan fried but it was still yummy. I wouldn't say it's amazing dim sum but it's pretty standard and satisfied the craving. The ribs didn't have the little jalepeno and taro for flavor like other places but still tasted good. Service: I ordered on their website 15 mins in advance (on a Monday morning) and it was ready and still hot by the time I came in. The front desk was fairly staffed so no long wait for attention like some other places. Ambiance: The inside looked super clean and grand, lots of decor and it would probably feel really nice to dine in. (Maybe next time bc I was on the go ;-;)

Yelp
TL DR: gets the coveted review of "it's not bad" from my parents, more expensive than other restaurants but I think it's worth it Elite tip: gratuity is added to large parties, this place is busy and had a line by 9:50 am on a Saturday morning, line up Ambiance: 4/5: Tablets were clean, large seating arrangement with typical glass lazy susan. The silverware was clean. They have high chairs for the little ones too. The bathrooms were clean. The only reason I took 1 point off the ambiance was the music. Too loud and its covers of today's popular music, not sure it ties everything in. Decor is nice and typical of Cantonese style restaurants but more clean! Service: 5/5 Service is great. Friendly staff. Staff spoke Cantonese, English, and mandarin so it's not difficult to order. Food: 5/5 I was in a large party and we ended up ordering har gao, sui mai, dan tat, little bolo baos, chicken feet, pan fried noodles, beef chow fun, amongst a slew of other things. Everything tasted authentic and tasted fresh. The only constructive thing our family find not enjoy were the turnip cakes (too salty), the wrapping on some of the dumplings also thicker than preferred. While this is definitely more expensive than their competitors I think the quality of the dim sum is far superior. Is it as good as New York or Toronto...no but is it good dim sum, yes! Elite tip: order some noodles and other cooked dishes to go with your dim sum! Without question my family and I will be back here!

Yelp
Whenever my family and I want to grab dim sum, we used to go another place around Sacramento but this place is our new favorite place to go! This place always gets crowded so make sure to get here right before they open. The service is so quick, every time we go our experience is always good because right when they grab our paper, they bring out the food right away as in not needing to wait 15 mins which absolutely makes me happy. I find this place for their way is serving it normally than doing the cart way. The food is freshly brought out to you warm and I feel like their food here is not dry compared to the ones we've gone to. I just love getting my dim sum fix here.

April F.

Yelp
Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday. Some plates were hot and fresh others were just warm. Not quite the level of service we usually receive from Yue Huang. This is or was our go to place for DimSum. Will have to let time ride this out as to our return or recommendation. Needless to say when more than half of your party ends up sick or feeling sick after eating dim sum here, I cannot recommend at this time.

Violet Y.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and the majority of dinner was delicious. The servers were very kind and fast. We did not have to wait to get a table on a weeknight during dinner time. We ordered mapo tofu, pan-fried noodles, peking duck, honey walnut prawns, and the fried flounder. Most dishes were were a solid 4/5 and I would reorder again. The mapo tofu could have used more spice but this was understandable since the restaurant served pre-dominantly Cantonese style food and apparently in 2018 they won "The Best Cantonese Cuisine Restaurant". However, I would not say that their Peking Duck is actually what most would consider Peking Duck. The duck is served with some pieces sliced boneless but on top of a bed of bone-in duck with some meat on it. It is not sliced in a traditional way and majority of the pieces served are bone-in. It's served with steamed buns, which I actually prefer over the traditional pancake style, but it's hard to enjoy with most pieces having bones. I'd come back to see how the dim sum is, since it seems very popular from the reviews but would not order the peking duck again.

Tracy L.

Yelp
Yue Huang is my favorite dim sum spot in Sacramento! I came with my family on a weekend day and came right when they opened so the wait wasn't bad at all, and they already had tables seated when we got there! The food came out extremely quickly which impressed me a lot. My favorite dishes we ordered were the beef tripe as well as the shrimp dumplings which are always a classic. You really can't go wrong at Yue Huang. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a dim sum spot in Sacramento.

Mary N.

Yelp
The food was 5 stars all the way. Came here for dinner. It can get pretty busy so come earlier if you want to avoid the crowd. The Peking duck comes in half order and full order. I got the half order and it was delicious. Just wish they gave more baos. The Crispy Flounder was pretty large and cooked to perfection with a tasty sauce. The garlic pea shoots was well flavored. Why 4 stars and not 5 stars? Quite frankly, we had one waitress that was just rude. When she brought out the fish, she snapped at us in chinese (we are not Chinese) and gestured to our water cups. I guess they were in the way of where she wanted to put the plate down. At one point I asked for a fork and she didn't respond to me but turned it o a younger staff member and loudly yelled at him and he brought me a fork. The younger staff were all very nice. It was just the one waitress that appeared to have more experience (based on how the other staff was treating her) that was rudely yelling at everybody, including us.

Amy N.

Yelp
The food here is always delicious! The staff can take time especially when it's busy but if you raise your hand, they will notice you. During peak times it gets really loud. It's def

Yelp
Great food! The Hot & Sour soup is the best along with the wonderful ton soup. I also recommend the pot stickers. Beeb here several times fir take out and the atmosphere is inviting and pleasant. The staff is courteous and helpful. Good for a group or a date. The attire is casual. Clean and spacious. Might be a bit pricey but I believe its worth it.

Yelp
Delicious Cantonese/southern Chinese seafood and dim sum restaurant. More upscale and thus more expensive than other equally delicious local alternatives. Food: Dim sum dishes - 4/5 - very good but not exceptional; also relatively overpriced /more bougey. Dim sum is to be ordered hot and fresh from the menu House/wor vs regular wonton soup - 4.5/5 - wonton with other protein variety which overall was very good, but I've definitely have had better wontons House combination fried rice - 5/5 - one of the best Salted egg shrimp and pumpkin - 5/5 - just delicious! A favorite that you must try! Lobster, salted egg style - 5/5 - this style surprisingly works really well for seafood and personally tastes as good as the scallion(green onion) and ginger, my previous favorite lobster style Walnut shrimp - 5/5 - very delicious crispy fried covered sweet mayonnaise and walnuts Black pepper chicken - 4/5 - pretty good Rainbow chicken - 5/5 - excellent taste and aesthetics Seafood satay rice noodle in clay pot - 5/5 - delicious seasoned/sauteed glass noodle with seafood Yue huang vs seafood pan fried noodle - 5/5 - excellent version of a classic Chinese country style rice noodle - 5/5 - delicious stir fry of glass noodle with sautéed protein Yue huang chow fun dry - 5/5 - another fantastic version of a classic wide rice noodle dish Beef chow fun dry - 5/5 - love this w Seafood chow fun with egg wet - 5/5 - if you love seafood + egg + chow fun rice noodle Ambience: Large spacious dining area featuring beautiful Chinese traditional art Service: Fast and friendly

Yelp
Back again! This time around the experience was much better. The restaurant has online waitlist and it works well and less chaotic both for the patrons and staff. Service was good. Servers were attentive, friendly and responsive. Food was consistently very good. And although the restaurant is constantly busy, the noise level was pretty normal. A good dim sum spot to check out if you're in the area.

Jovina B.

Yelp
Food Food was amazing. Dim sum did not disappoint. So many to choose from. They don't go around with carts. You order from a menu and just put the number on a piece of paper provided. We also ordered from the regular menu. We ordered a variety of dim sum and several dishes to include duck, salt and pepper shrimp, eggplant with beans and chow fun veggies. The dishes didn't come with rice so had to order it separately. Everything was good. Service The place was busy but were seated right away. Join the waitlist on yelp to be seated right away. The staff will check on you several times but there wasn't a designated staff per table. Overall, it was good. Just had to flag the servers a few times. Ambiance Pretty nice inside but it was full house. Lots of parking and easy to get to. Highly recommend this place.

amy m.

Yelp
Looking for traditional Dim Sum? you found the place! located in an outside strip mall with traditional seating and decor, you can satisfy your cravings here. I appreciate the Yelp waitlist option. On the way over , I signed up and was seated in 10min. Service is quick and efficient. Check off boxes from a provided menu(with pictures) . My only wish is that they also offer rolling carts or servers offering "off menu" dim sum for impromptu tastings.

MA G.

Yelp
Always a great time! Definitely on the pricier side but the quality, portion and attentiveness of the staff makes it all worth it! Parking is tricky, some spaces are way too close to one another. There's almost always a wait, so be prepared and be patient! My go to: Shrimp rice rolls, deep fried pork sticky buns, egg tarts, and black sesame balls!

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Really good food with some misses. Came here a couple times now. First time before they were michelin rated and then again just recently. Both times not much wait and food was very good. Hits: * All of our favorites tasted awesome. Can't go wrong with the classics like loh bat go (turnip cake), har gow (shrimp dumpling), and siu mai. My favorite is wu gok (taro dumpling) and they did a fantastic job at it. * Flavors on point on almost all the dishes we tried. Misses: * Lo Mai Gai (Lotus leaf sticky rice) came out cold. We had to ask them to take it back and heat it up. * Beef Chow Fun was pretty small portion-wise. * Char Siu Bao (pork buns) was mostly bready bun and not much filling. Overall, a little pricey but you get what you pay for and they do a decent job. Definitely one of the best (if not THE best) dim sum joints the in the Sacramento area.

Jacob H.

Yelp
Yue Huang lives up to its Michelin status. The dim sum is exactly as it should be: fresh, moist, and flavorful. I had siu mai, pork buns, shrimp dumplings, duck, sesame balls, honey walnut shrimp, mango pudding, and egg tarts. I am especially impressed with the duck. Each piece was cut right to avoid excess bone and dryness. The duck has juicy meat and was easy to eat. Despite several years away, each dish was fantastic as when the restaurant opened. The prior day, I had rice porridge and Chinese broccoli. The vegetables were cooked just right without being too hard or soft. This restaurant is well worth the trip, and I plan to return every time I visit Sacramento.

Alicia G.

Yelp
Damn that's some good dim sum! What a selection! So many tasty options in this upscale restaurant. And the big lazy Susan in the middle of the table makes sharing family style so much more fun. We ordered a big variety to try as many as we could, and we all left happy and full. Some of our favorites included the eggplant stuffed with shrimp, egg tarts, steamed pork buns, and the steamed gold shrimp Rice roll. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Ashley C.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner and had reservations but the place was pretty empty when we arrived around 5:45 on a Wednesday. The place did fill up by the time we left though, so if you can make reservations then go for it! We got a nice table in the back of the room which was great since our kids had room to move around. Service was pretty good! They checked on us often, and brought water refills and even water cups with lids for the kids. Unfortunately dim sum is not served at dinner time here but since we asked, they were able to mark what items they had leftover from the day and we chose from that. They warned us quality wouldn't be great since it was from earlier in the day but the birthday boy wanted dim sum so we got everything we could! We also ordered off the regular dinner menu. I felt like portions seemed kinda small for family style. The honey walnut shrimp was too heavy on the batter. All of our duck dishes were nicely cooked though and the sauces were great. It's been years since we had their dim sum so I hope to come back soon to have it again in its prime!

Sommaly L.

Yelp
Love this spot! Been here 3x so far and have loved it each time. We always get the bbq pork bun, Xiao long Bao, and har gow. Plenty of tables when we come. And if we use the Yelp waitlist feature, we get seated fairly quick. Clean inside and staff is friendly. Will def come back!

James L.

Yelp
Best dim sum in the area! There is usually a wait Sunday mornings so try to come as soon as they open. Once seated, you mark a paper menu with the items you want and the waitstaff will then bring it out from the kitchen. There are no carts at this restaurant. The dim sum here is top notch! Make sure you get the siu mai, shrimp dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leaf, portuese egg tarts and steam golden shrimp rice rolls! And just remember.. you're all that and dim sum.

Doris L.

Yelp
We searched Chinese restaurant and this place came up with good reviews. We decided to give this a try when we are visiting Sacramento. It's located in the city of Natomaa. We ordered the satay beef vermicelli clay pot, the stir fry squid with green beans and mushrooms and the asparagus beef. When we Sat down, we realized it was a Michelin one star in 2021. The TV mounted in the wall also shows one of the chef is Martin Yen. The dishes arrived quickly and very delicious. Will definitely try again when we visit Sacramento again.

Thuy L.

Yelp
We didn't have to wait long to be seated, which was great. The waiter was very attentive, which was a plus. My favorite dish had to be the broccoli with the oyster sauce on top. I also liked the steamed rice roll with breadstick and the bean curd skin roll in oyster sauce.

Matt K.

Yelp
The best place in town for Dim Sum. Efficient ordering and delicious options! We are making a point to try everything on the menu and so far there are no duds. Standouts are: Siu Mai Pan Fried Turnip Cake Taro Gok Preserved Egg & Pork Congee Don't forget to finish with Mochi w/ Black Sesame Service was fast and attentive. We usually go on the weekends in the opening hours. There's sometime a wait and waitlist but so far hasn't been more than a half hour-- Usually about 15 mins or so. Utilize the Yelp waitlist as you arrive and walk around the area or fountain if you can't sit still.

Ashley C.

Yelp
This is some of the best dim sum you can find in Sacramento. They have a huge selection of dim sum items as well as entree items. All of the food came out quick, with the exception of a couple entrees. The only reason for reducing a star from my rating was because they are VERY slow. After we were seated it took 35 minutes for someone to greet us at our table and take our drink order. It took another 25 minutes for someone to come back with our drinks after taking the drink order. Then it took even longer just to order.

Cin-Yee S.

Yelp
Definitely expected more from this Michelin- mentioned eatery. Located in what looks like an old Olive Garden, this dim sum and banquet style restaurant features above average decor and service, but I can't eat decor or service, so my ratings are solely for the food. After waiting about 45 minutes for a table for three, we ordered seven dim sum plates and a half Peking duck (total with tax and tip = $110). I do eat dim sum at all levels (from San Francisco Chinatown take out to fancier white tablecloth establishments) and judge the food accordingly, but my local takeout dim sum place in Fremont (Joyful Dim Sum) is leagues better than this place. Siu mai was underseasoned and the har gow skins were not tender nor supple. Most of the dim sum items were served lukewarm, and the fried items were actually cold. Unfortunately for me, I have this very picky thing about food being served the correct temperature. The best item on the table was the egg cream buns, which were served hot, very fluffy, and had a good consistency filling. Perhaps we went on an off day, but I would imagine that Sunday around lunchtime is a good representation of how well a weekend dim sum lunch would go.

Euv M.

Yelp
Came here with some friends for dinner and we really enjoyed the dishes. All of the dishes were well made and well seasoned. The service was also excellent, our waters were refilled, dirty plates were exchanged for new ones and finished plates were cleared.

Aileen C.

Yelp
My family and I came here because we heard great things about the Peking duck. While it's not my personal preference of a meal it had good flavor. My favorite dish here is the honey walnut shrimp! This is a great spot to come with your friends and enjoy family stile. Service was fast and effective. We didn't have much of a wait time for a Saturday night and the ambiance is very nice as well.

Arnel E.

Yelp
It was Sunday afternoon and I was craving for Peking Duck. We were in Sacramento and the first thing that came to me was that Chinese restaurant in Natomas. We came prepared for a wait as we've had in the past but there was none at 4PM. Dim sum was also done by this time. However, my wife was able to get a couple of Portuguese egg tarts from the exhausted dim sum menu. We were told that our orders were delayed as a private party just arrived. To partake on dessert first wasn't my idea on this late lunch but we were both fine with it. The egg tarts were devoured and then rinsed with a fresh pot of tea. Next came the Peking Duck and it was simply satisfying. The sauce it came with made it more delectable. The Salt & Pepper Pork and Fujian Fried Rice came last. Which was still OK as we planned to take nibbles from these dishes and have it to go for the teen waiting at home. Another fine dining experience in this Michelin Guide restaurant. Probably my 5th time here and I can't believe this is just my first review. Not a huge fan of Chinese food but I can't say no to Yue Huang when in the area. Fast and great service as always.

Kat Y.

Yelp
Nice Chinese dim sum place in sac, right off 80, so convenient located. Plaza parking lot, so no need to scramble around for parking. Service is good and food tasted pretty good too. Overall nice atmosphere and would recommend. Out of all the dim sum we ordered, the only complaint was the crispy roast pig, the meat was just too hard and the skin was not crispy enough.

Pui-See Y.

Yelp
Such a big hype, thought I take my parents to check it out. No RSVPs. Let's get that out of the way, unless you know something I don't. It was definitely a pack house on a Sunday, but that's a given. It was for a table of 4 and we waited for about 30-45mins, maybe the former. The ambiance is like any other dim sum restaurant, nothing special or anything worth mentioning. The food: it was mediocre to me and even to my parents. I do have to say I liked their salted egg pineapple buns, but that's about it. GOOD: - Vinegarette Chicken feet seemed to be everyone's go to, except me. I didn't have any, but they all enjoyed it. - tripe - one of the decent dish and it was actually hot, because it just got done - Steamed Chinese broccoli was one of the better dishes. You can't go wrong with this dish right?! - Roasted duck was fresh and good. - Pineapple buns with egg cream: everyone loved it. It was soft and chewy, while the inside was melting and dripping with flavor MEDIOCRE: - Hargow was meh. Inside tasted more floury than shrimp, the skin was doughy - Shumai - that was a hard pass. So meaty and floury taste AND it was just warm - Spareribs with black bean - nothing to rave about - Steamed Shrimp Ball with sticky rice was a hot mess. The proportion of this ball is not right. The filling was nothing but doughy, floury taste. Each of us had half only and it was more than enough. - Flavored Beef Offal - usually it's one of everyone's favorite dish, but this came out to be just ok. It was warm by the time it go to us and the flavor was a little bland. The beef stomach should've cut it in smaller pieces so everyone could have some. It was just one giant slab. - Sticky rice in lotus leaf - so so. It actually inspired me to make my own, because it's didn't taste what it supposed to - Steamed rice roll with shrimp - my childhood fav!!! But it did not taste like it. Minimal shrimp and the dough skin wasn't not silky. It was rough and thick, nothing like what I grew up with - Shrimp & Chive dumpling - nobody even touched it! It was just not good. Their service was alright, same as any other dim sum restaurants. Price: over priced, probably only because it was featured in the Michelin Guide. Well, that'll be our first and last time there. I rather stick to the ones in Stockton Blvd area for dim sum or even out of Sacramento.

Amy N.

Yelp
Dim sum here is comparable to the restaurants in San Jose, which is a thumbs up for me. This place is a solid 4 stars when it comes to the food, service and ambiance. We ordered shumai, hargow, shrimp and chives dumplings, chicken feet, beef rice rolls, black sesame mochi and steamed salted egg yolk buns. Everything we ordered was delicious. I also love how most of the items we ordered came out piping hot giving the illusion they made it right after you ordered it. The beef rice rolls came out lukewarm, but I think it's because they poured the sweet soy sauce over it. I did wish that they poured a little more soy sauce over it, but it was still good! They have salt, pepper, chili sauce and soy sauce on the table for you to use too. For the desserts, I would highly recommend ordering the black sesame mochi and the steamed salted egg yolk buns! The mochi was sweet, but it's perfect for those who have sweet tooth. I enjoyed the steamed salted egg yolk buns a lot! Enjoy the show when you break one of those buns in half haha. The yolk just comes dripping out! This place is a little out of the way for me, but I would make the drive back here again when I'm craving dim sum. Service is also very quick and friendly. :)

Yelp
On an overcast 45F Saturday morning, we decided to try Yue Huang Dim Sum Restaurant. The restaurant is located on Truxel Road, just off Hwy 80 in a strip mall in Sacramento. There was ample parking in the parking lot at 11am, an hour after the restaurant opened. As we entered the restaurant, we were seated immediately by the host and noticed the fabric covered chairs and warm interior. A wait person asked us for our drink order and then we were able to select our dishes from a menu pamphlet, with pictures to mark what we would like to order for lunch. We were not sure if the larger pictures identified the more popular dishes, but we certainly paid attention to these dishes. We ordered the Shrimp Dumplings, Siu Mai, Pan Fried Turnip Cake, Preserved Egg & Pork Congee, Pork Dumplings, House Soft Caked, Broccoli w/Oyster Sauce, and Beef Chow Fun (not on menu). The Shrimp Dumplings included two shrimp in each dumpling, but the wrapper was soggy and quickly broke apart. The Siu Mai was juicier than we were used to and the Pan-Fried Turnip cakes had a fragrant umami taste with shreds of turnip. The Egg & Pork Congee had abundant shreds of pork and pieces of preserved duck egg. The food came out from the kitchen as one order, however the dishes were not hot, as one may receive when ordering dim sum that is typically served from roving food carts. Based on additional items on the menu, we are looking forward to returning to try more Cantonese dishes from the kitchen that include Rice Roll in XO Sauce, Honey Walnut Shrimp and Salt & Pepper Shrimp. Overall ratings: Food - 3 Service - 4 Ambiance - 4

Yelp
This award winning Michelin Guide authentic Chinese restaurant has some great family style dinners if you're planning on having a large gathering! My hubby, my daughter and I attended a 100th Day Celebration here and the food was just absolutely incredible! My favorite was the incredibly Sweet & Sour Squirrel Mandarin Fish(Boneless), cooked to perfection and sauce amazing!! Some honorable mentions, the superb Abalone & Shitake Mushrooms with Mustard Greens, King Crab, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Asparagus Beef and nice and fluffy Fried Rice! I would HIGHLY recommend this local Chinese restaurant, for a fine dining experience! The staff were great and we'll definitely be returning!! SYOY! :-)

Yelp
This is a good Cantonese Restaurant that, must, serve dim sum for lunches. We had a large group dinner here instead. As typical, there was the wall of fish tanks for the fresh catches that we perused. I believe few of them ended up at the tables. The decor and cleanliness was better than average. The service was average. The foods were quite good, if portions slightly less than expected. Everything was good. The Peking duck was not up-to-par with Beijing standard. That's understandable as this is Sacramento, not Beijing. Also, they would have adjusted to local clientele anyway. That said, it was enjoyable as a duck dish. Steamed fish was excellent, if portion small for the large table. Crab was also small. To our surprise, there was no sweets at the end, only fruit plates of orange and apple.

Yelp
This place are one of our favorite place to have dimsum while were in Sacramento. The food is delicious, love the duck, it was moist and delicious. Good selections of vegetables. Full of friendly staff and the service is fast. This place is always crowded. We use Yelp to put in the waiting list. Big parking lot but so difficult to find one available. Cool and clean surroundings.

Yelp
Dim sum is good. Service was great and the decor is very finished. This is one of our go to spots for Dim Sum. The sticky rice shrimp ball was the only con-just lacked flavor but everything else was on point.

Yelp
This is my go to spot for dim sum in the area. I've experienced dine in and take out. The staff is usually very friendly, but they can get busy and when it is they work hard to keep things moving. The best experience is dining in with friends at one of the big, round, lazy susan tables and ordering a lot of fun items to have bites of. There are so many great items on their menu, and not just on the dim sum menu. My favorite items to order are the siu mai, sesame balls, fried pork dumplings and all the rice rolls- especially the steamed golder shrimp rice roll. Depending on who I go with we'll try new menu items and we always share. I've ordered dim sum for take out a few times as well. It's not as good as dining in, but there's something nice about enjoying a little too much food at home. The parking lot can be a bit busy, but there are usually plenty of spots and both take out and dine in have been pretty quick during my experiences.

Yelp
This is the best Chinese restaurant in Sac. The dim sum is excellent. The usual items are great like siu mai and ha gow plus peking duck and my favorite egg tarts. I have come for dinner as well with a large group and done their banquets. Every dish is good well made Good service and ambience Since most Sacramento Chinese restaurant are old and remind me of old Americanized Chinese food, Yue Huang helps bring Chinese food in Sacramento into modern times. Check it out.

Yelp
We finally made it in for Dim Sum. Food came out quick and service was fast. I was surprised that they didn't have cart service. I was looking forward to the whole dim sum experience since we are lacking that here in Sacramento. Most of the food was good, but I've had better. The shrimp stuffed eggplant item came out cold and it just didn't taste good at all...we would probably give them another try though. Tables were a little close, but I do like the atmosphere!

Yelp
This dimsum place is absolutely phenomenal. I can't even put into words how much I enjoyed the food. This place definitely deserves to receive Michelin. Everything came out very quickly. I wish they took a reservation but it was definitely worth it to wait in a line. We ordered a lot but everything was so tasty, rich, and flavorful!! If I lived in Sacramento, I would definitely go there more than 2 times a week for brunch. Everyone looks so busy but they never failed to bring our food correctly. Clean and nice inside. I will definitely visit them again!!

Yelp
Best dim sum hands down! They no longer have the rolling carts and all the dim sum is ordered on a paper menu. I do miss the carts because it was nice to see how much more food we wanted. But at least with the menu ordering you can choose what you want right away, without waiting for cart after cart to come. So the efficiency and wait have improved a lot. They do have many typical dim sum options and it all tastes great. We always order the shumai, taro dumpling, rice noodle roll, sticky rice, and shrimp balls. Everything is perfectly streamed or fried. And of course they cut up some dishes so it can be shared easily. They're usually busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait!

Yelp
The usual dim sum place, always so delicious! Lots of parking, definitely show up early so you don't need to wait.

Yelp
Food came out quick, service was fast. We came when the restaurant was not busy. The tables are pretty close together and they do not have the cart service for dim sum. You order your dishes on a sheet. My favorites were the spare rib and the chicken feet. Would come back again!

Yelp
I dined at Yue Huang for the first time last weekend and this spot has seen better days. The 3rd anniversary event advertised around the restaurant is outdated. The menu is extensive. There are lots of pictures that help with the process. Note that there are two ways to order: (1) with the staff or (2) online by scanning the QR code on the table. We came for the dim sum, but ended up ordering entrees instead. We ordered the following: - Crab Meat and Fish Maw Soup ($16.95): My go-to soup at any Chinese restaurant. Very tasty and generous portion. - Claypot Garlic Onion Fried Sea Bass ($24.95): OK. The fried sea bass was seasoned well, but a little salty. There are bones so be careful! - Yue Huang Chow Fun ($16.95): OK. Chow fun is another go-to dish for me. The Yue Huang special comes with chicken and bbq pork. The seasoning was not even, and some sections of the noodles are darker than other parts. All these portions are good to share - family style of course. However, when I go to Asian restaurants like this, I expect a steaming bucket of rice. Some places even allow complementary refills too. Unfortunately, you will not get that here. Very disappointing. Yue Huang charges $2 per bowl of rice. The bowls are small as well so this can add up quickly. Also, hot tea is charged $2 per person - NOT per order. Not sure we'll come back for entrees again, but may check out the dimsum offerings another time.

Yelp
Yue Huang was a great experience for dim sum. They offer a variety of dishes along with their dim sum menu. Everything we ordered was delicious. The place was pretty full and there was a long wait. I was able to hold a spot on the yelp check in list and was seated fairly quickly. The restaurant is spacious and the ambiance was nice. The service was great and oir food was prepared quick, considering how packed it was in there. I plan on returning when I'm in town to try other entrees on their menu.

Yelp
I was a little worried because the we were the only people in the restaurant for the first 1/2 hour. The service was fantastic. The team took great care of us. We started with some appetizers, potstickers and spring rolls. They were beautifully made and tasted great. I was hungry so I ordered the General Tso's chicken. The chicken pieces were hearty and cooked well. The sauce was the ideal flavor level. I was a little bummed they were out of Dim Sum, so I guess I'll have to come back and try it next time! Great food, great location, great service!

Yelp
Ordered some dim sum for takeout. Easy to call over the phone and walk-in for pick up. The Siu Mai and Har Gow were big and plump! I definitely recommend the Rice Rolls with XO Sauce too. Downside is the hefty prices. Three orders of dim sum came out to $28. They also use a lot of oil. Everything was glistening in it! Very tasty, but definitely need to eat everything in moderation.

Yelp
I was looking forward to this place because my dad was raving about the Chinese food! *Dim sum hours are from 11am-3pm* We arrived around 11:30am on a Sunday and they were super packed. They don't really have a big seating area and with the weather being rainy outside, we all couldn't help but squish inside.. You write your name down on the clipboard and you have to remember your number- I wish this system was a bit more organized, it seemed people weren't paying attention to their number being called, so when other people would be getting seated, the party that was called would get upset that another party was being seated before them. For a party of 3, it took about 20-25 minutes. We got seated and they hand you a menu where you can check off exactly what you want- no carts here!! I will say, service was pretty quick. However, our order did get mixed up a bit. We checked off the Siu Mai and received the Bean Curd with Shrimp, I looked at the menu again to make sure I didn't order that, but I can see why they got it mixed up because it looked similar.. I told the server and he took the bean curd off our tab and gave us the Siu Mai on the house, thanks! We also didn't receive our order of the shrimp rice noodle, but I did tell the server and we were already so full we didn't take it. Everything was very delicious, super authentic! We enjoyed the mango pudding also, it's like a mango flan. I would like to come back and try out their Chinese food they have.

Yelp
To be honest, it is pretty hard to mess up dim sum and after reading that this restaurant was on the Michelin Guide, I was really excited to try it with my friend! However, the food was very lackluster. The shrimp dumplings were over steamed in that it fell apart way too easily. The turnip cake was good, but wasn't as crispy as I would've liked. The roast duck, siu mai, and rice roll was good but didn't blow my mind. The restaurant's decor seemed like a traditional dim sum restaurant, and the food came out nice and quick! Overall, it's a solid dim sum spot, but not great, especially when compared to the Bay Area.
