Just-Like-Mom's cooking and super-friendly staff surrounded by kitschy art and photos of the restaurant's history. Unpretentious menu that is heavy on the turkey but with a variety of other foods. No unusual or compelling dishes here, but lots of comfort food. The bar in the back accommodates the serious drinkers.

It’s a good thing I was visiting from out of town, if I lived here I’d be eating at Willie Bird’s all the time! Just had a proper roast turkey dinner, my wife had the turkey scallopini. Both were fantastic, and included soup and salads. A great old school vibe here as well, and the service was very attentive. Highly recommended, and we will visit again next time we’re in Santa Rosa.

This is old school Santa Rosa..... great food, especially the turkey dinner which reminds me of Thanksgiving with all the trimmings (stuffing, mashed potatoes & gravy and cranberry sauce). It’s the best in N California hands down! Full bar and the traditional Hofbrau architecture round out this Santa Rosa institution.

I am really sad, after decades of great home cooking the new owners have changed things. We as a family have celebrated many holidays here, in addition to breakfast/lunch and cocktail hours. While, I don't mind the discontinuation of the salumi plate coming out in the beginning, I do mind the lack of flavor. The stuffing/dressing was green and raw (under cooked), the turkey was dry, (shredded dry and flavorless). My dogs liked it though. Who can mess up mashed potatoes, no one but the gravy was bland as were the potatoes. Even the salad was mediocre. I realize the original owners may not have passed along their secret ingredients when they sold the business last month, and they were heavy handed with the salt, sadly though this was a big miss. I hope it was a Holiday One off. The staff was/is great, very friendly. The wine selection is good, of course that iconic bar carries the "joint", but I come for the Turkey dinners (which at lunch time is $16.95).

Fantastic turkey options. I had the turkey scallopini, and wow. Juicy and tender turkey with mushrooms and marsala sauce. Staff offered me some great wine suggestions. Definitely would recommend and will return when back in town.

If you want old school turkey dinner without the trouble of making it yourself, you can't beat this place. Friendly, efficient staff. Awesome turkey barley soup. Great homemade onion rings. Solid tap list with best prices around. Step into the past for an hour. You won't regret it.

Dined here based on a recommendation from Carol at the Best Western Garden Inn & we're so glad we took her advice. My husband & I actually shared a meal & it was plenty of food. The turkey (that they are so famous for) was moist & flavorful. Our waitress Crystal was a joy & very sweet. Great service & friendly staff make this place a true treasure.

Went for the first time with family from out of town. Pros: The food was great. Corned beef hash was especially delicious. Everyone loved the food. Seated quickly and greeted by friendly staff. Bloody Mary was delicious. Cons: The service was super slow and drink orders had to be repeated multiple times. Bloody Mary served in a plastic dingy cup. Saw that the place is getting new owners. Glad we went when we did since you never know what's going to happen.
