"Placencia’s best sit-down local restaurant is located smack in the heart of the village. Wendy's isa favorite with locals for itshearty breakfast—fried eggs with refried beans and tortillas—before work or beforeheading out on a sun-and-sea excursion. The restaurant is also a solid choice for lunch and dinner, and is reasonably priced for the wide variety of dishes it offers, like quesadillas, sandwiches, burgers, pastas, beans and rice, and seafood. The walls are covered with local art, andthe spacious veranda offers views of the comings and goings along the village’s main road. Wendy’s rarely closes and seldom disappoints, in food or in service."

Excellent food, beautiful ambiance, warm people. Highly recommend for Excellent food with a smile. We had a large group and we're served efficiently. The food was savory. Pictured is grilled lobster tail. Wendy will meet you with a smile!

Wonderful setting - we had a hot rainy day and enjoyed ourselves on the deck while drinking great coffee and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Staff were generous and helpful. If you are in Placencia you must stop in!

We were on an NCL cruise that stopped in Harvest Caye and we took the ferry to Placencia to do some shopping. On the way back to the pier for the return ferry, we ate at Wendy’s Creole Food. The exterior is very inviting and clean and we were greeted by a pleasant young woman host who directed us to a table on the veranda since we wanted to eat outside. We ordered the traditional Belizean dish of stewed chicken with rice and beans & sautéed fish with rice and beans and steamed veggies. The chicken was delicious, as was the fish and the portions were generous. We both thought the rice & beans, while tasty, was not something we would order again since we have been spoiled by New Orleans rice and beans and nothing else compares. The prices were reasonable and they take Visa/MC. This is a place we definitely recommend. Everything was very fresh and the staff was friendly.

My family and i went for breakfast and the food and service were good. The location is great but parking can be tricky depending on the day.

Came here for breakfast for a tasty build-your-own omelette that's offered on the weekends. Get the fry jacks - the Belizean equivalent to American biscuits - as a side. Good porch for people watching.

Decided to try out breakfast before leaving Placencia. Got outdoor seating. Had to drag my own chair from indoors since the table was short one. Maybe it was because of staffing issues but our food (4 items) took 45 minutes to come. The place wasn’t even busy. It wasn’t just our table that was slow. Food was ok, nothing great. One of our bacon jacks came without bacon and the kitchen had to send out bacon separately. Fried red snapper was insipid. The best part of the meal was the plain fried jacks that came as a side with the fish.

Lovely local restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner. Service from Wilson was excellent, he offered a lot of information about the food and was very friendly and caring. I really appreciated the time and attention. As a solo diner, we don't always get taken care of at the same level of couples or groups. Treat single diners well & they will reward you accordingly! I first went for dinner and had the fish and conch ceviche. The portion size of the ceviche was massive, good for 2 people. Everything was fresh and Creole style. Watermelon juice was refreshing. Breakfast was even better imo. I enjoyed the spinach and cheese omelet with 4 fresh, huge fryjacks served w butter and the BEST papaya jam I ever tried, pleasant bonus. It's nice to sit on the verandah and watch the people of Placencia go by, very relaxing. Thank you Wendy's!

Tasty food but it took 35 minutes to receive our salad then veggie quesadillas and cabbage rolls. We weren’t served water until we asked for it. Highly recommend getting there early to avoid a long wait while you’re hungry.
