"Plantation Rooms on 10 Acres South of San Pedro is the award-winning luxury resort of Victoria House. The plantation style property is unlike any other on Ambergris Caye, offering some of the best views of the Caribbean Sea. Despite being one of the larger properties with 42 rooms spread out over 10 acres, Victoria House is one of the most intimate resorts. A majority of the staff at Victoria House have been there for years and it shows. Their love for Victoria House and its guests is genuine and evident throughout every part of the resort. Look for several dining options on property, including the more casual Admiral Nelson Bar, perfect for daytime dining, and the more high-end Palmilla, an ideal spot for a romantic dinner. Meal plans are available for guests looking for a more all-inclusive experience. Victoria House offers a range of room styles, from staterooms and plantation rooms to private suites and villas. Rates start at $195 for staterooms all the way up to $1,775 for a five-bedroom villa."

Victoria House, San Pedro, and Belize were a 10 out of 10! This was the first time we had stayed at a smaller, non-all-inclusive resort and it was a great experience! I loved how we didn't have to wake up early to save chairs, there was always space on the beach, by the pool, at dinner and the bar! The staff was amazing, especially our bar tender Amy - the food was exceptional. The island was safe and fun to be able to go into town on a golf cart for shopping, dinner, or excursions. The excursions were pricey, but totally worth it - we did the shorter day trip (715 am - 3 pm) to the Mayan ruins which included a quick flight, a lagoon boat ride, and plenty of time at the ruins with a local lunch to end the day. The only negative is the lack of a full beach (there is very little sand) and an ocean wall and the water was full of sea grass - but evidently it isn't like that year round (the sea grass that is) - you could get in the ocean from these long boat docks and then sections were buoyed off. We did however see a lot of ocean life from the dock making that part neat! We also enjoyed a constant breeze off the water - making it the PERFECT weather.

2 bed luxury villa for 4 nights - faultless. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, breakfast lunch and dinner all very good. Service was impeccable with staff really going the extra mile to ensure every need was catered to. Concierge on WhatsApp really helpful with restaurants and taxis. Everyone was friendly and professional. Attention to detail and cleanliness around the resort was excellent. We hired a beach buggy a couple of days and also took the complementary bikes out which was fun. The pools were both really nice and although the hotel was quite full it didn’t ever feel crowded. Good location about 10 mins south of town in a buggy.

We loved our trip!!!! It is a beautiful spot. One thing that we loved was that this hotel is not over-crowded. There are other guests, but this is hotel always felt private. This feature made this trip very relaxing. The hotel food is lovely! The rooms are beautiful and spacious. But the main feature is the hotel staff. Every single staff member was nice and friendly, genuinely. They made this trip very memorable for us. Shout outs to Duane, Vanessa, Tony, Ashley and Jose. If Luiz can’t fix it, it is unfixable. We intend to return with our children!!!! Thank you!

We have been to Victoria House many times over a number of decades. The experience at Victoria House and Ambergris Cay just gets better with each visit.||As is our usual practice, we contact Luis Vasquez at the dive shop, a few weeks prior to our visit, to arrange our activities and meals while at the resort. Luis is a real pro and has never failed to provide a week that is exactly as we hoped. Our desired activities and meal arrangements are always spot on, and Luis' suggestions are always on point. He is a valuable resource, and I encourage his use.||We always find Victoria House lodgings and its other facilities to be perfectly maintained and ready for use. Service is impeccable, and housekeeping is unobtrusive. ||We come to Ambergris Cay for the land and water activities. During this trip, we enjoyed snorkeling and diving with the Bradley brothers. We always try to get them, and they are simply the best at what they do. They can get anyone, regardless of skill or fear level, comfortable with snorkeling or diving. This trip, we had a nervous swimmer and her five year old daughter with us. Both of them were made comfortable enough that they enjoyed the water and sights at Hol Chan and Mexico Rocks. The mother even got comfortable doing a resort dive. We also snorkeled Coral Gardens. The snorkeling at these locations is some of the best that I have experienced in many trips around the Caribbean. The variety and size of the marine creatures you will see is exceptional. Since becoming protected areas, Hol Chan and Mexico Rocks are better with each visit. We also did a Cay Caulker cruise with Captain Horace on the Felicity catamaran. He runs a good trip. Be sure to hand- feed the tarpon on Cay Caulker. We also took the Tropic Air trip to the Lamanai ruins. This is a very efficient way to see the ruins, with a short flight to Orange Walk and an hour boat ride to the ruins, during which you will see a variety of wildlife (maybe even a crocodile). We have used Colin as our private guide for many trips there. He is very knowledgeable about the ruins themselves and the wildlife along the river. At the ruins look for the howler monkeys. You will be back at Victoria House by 3:00PM||We always eat well during the week. This time we began at Victoria House's Palmilla restaurant for dinner. It ended up being my best seafood dinner of the trip. Perfectly cooked fish! We also would recommend that you try El Fogon, Caliente, and, of course Elvi's. You won't be disappointed.||During our downtime during the day, we were ably served drinks and food at our "house" by genial servers, most notably Duane. ||We tried to book the same week in 2026, but our preferred lodging was already taken. We were able to book two weeks later, however. This place is popular and fills up quickly. Don't delay.

Absolutely adored our stay! Hotel is immaculate, beautiful location, top notch amenities, pristine pools, extremely cleanly.. everything you could desire from a resort this place exceeds. Staff was extremely attentive and went out of their way to be accommodating and friendly. Food was great, drinks were good too! 10/10 would recommend if you’re anywhere near Belize.

What a lovely hotel! We spent a splendid 5 days here. It’s so peaceful and relaxing in a very beautiful environment, the lush green vegetation contrasting wonderfully with the turquoise of the Caribbean Sea. The staff are very engaging, unfailingly polite, cheerful, welcoming and charming. It is almost unfair to single out a particular member of staff, but Jeremiah the restaurant manager was such a joy, always ensuring we had the best possible experience. ||We had a 2 bedroom 2 storey infinity suite, sleeping 4 people. The accommodation is not equally distributed. The first floor has a very large bedroom with a comfortable seating area, walk in wardrobe, a very generous bathroom with two sinks and two terraces. The ground floor has the kitchen/sitting room, resulting in a rather small double bedroom and very small bathroom. Both floors have terraces front and back. ||The accommodation was spectacularly clean and well maintained. Beds and pillows were super comfortable and there was good outside furniture on all 4 terraces. The common areas of the hotel and grounds were immaculately kept and the maintenance team responded very quickly when any repair was needed. The reception staff were always on the front foot, super speedy in their responses and wholly reliable in their arrangements. We were very well looked after. ||The spa treatments were truly excellent. Food was very good, though portions were rather large for our European appetites. There were some fun beach games, ladder golf and cornhole were our favourites. ||We left feeling very relaxed and happy.

Victoria House will always have a special place in my heart! I had my wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were so incredibly kind and made all of my guests feel welcomed. Abi, there are not enough thank yous for everything you did to make our day feel special. Now the resort also made my wedding day special. There are two pools on the property both with stunning views. The food was delicious at every meal. 5 stars all around! We will be back! ❤️

Victoria House exceeded every expectation. The grounds are stunning, the casita was luxurious and private, and Jonny, Gabriela, and the rest of staff truly went out of their way to make our anniversary trip special. ||The private dinner on the pier gazebo was a once-in-a-lifetime memory. Can’t recommend it enough for a romantic getaway.
