"If you’re a fan of wood-fired cuisine, we recommend a visit to Vezené (located next to the Evangelismos metro station), a bistro-style restaurant with plenty of elegant decorative touches and an impressive glass porch. Although the à la carte is particularly focused on meat (including a wide choice of different cuts), it does also serve some fish and seafood. One speciality that we particularly recommend is the delicious and intense BBQ Rib & Trachanas, finished on the grill after being slow cooked at low temperature." - Michelin Inspector

"Aris Vezenes, one of Greece’s most talented chefs, had a huge hit on his hands when he opened his Greek-inspired bistro in 2011. The restaurant has aged well, earning a community of loyal customers and a spot in the Michelin guide. The menu is divided into three categories: a sea section with fresh fish, urchin, and lobster; a land section with fantastic choices of meat, like faraona (Guinea fowl) cooked with shio koji, jus, pickled pear, and baby gem; and the soil section, which includes dishes of mushrooms, potatoes, and vegetables. So this is the best place if you want a defining fine dining experience. Everything from the bar till last complimentary candies give off perfection. This guys work with fresh and seasonal ingredients like experts, they are. So either if you're a local, who wants some really great restaurant experience, or if you're just visiting Athens : this is definitely a place to spend at least one evening

First meal in Athens and was extremely memorable. Authentic and organic Greek cuisine with added complimentary grape leaves and chocolate. Terrific wine and cocktails. Attentive and kind staff. Beautiful ambiance and great music. The Royal Fig dessert is a must!

What a superb experience!!! From the warm welcome, the drinks, food and desserts were absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere on top but, the service? Mr. Peter is if not the best, for sure one of the best waiters I’ve seen, and I have seen and work with a lot of them. Incredible job by the manager Dimitra and her team! Thank you!!!

A great experience during Valentine’s evening. It had a great atmosphere, the staff was professional and very hospitable and the menu was exquisite! The wagyu steak was excellent and the shrimp frittas were incredible too. I would happily go back to have those dishes again, as well as explore the menu even further.

Amazing food and hospitality from Peter and his team. The beef cheek in the risotto melted in our mouths and the uni pasta made us swoon. Great drink recommendations too! So happy we came here on our short trip to Athens :)

Vezené was a lovely experience. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful - and their recommendations for food made me for an indescribably delicious meal. The beef braised cheek in orzo pasta was excellent. I also highly reccomend the dessert Porotkalopita. It was probably the best dessert I ever had in my life- and I normally do not like orange. Everything was fresh.

Excellent food, drinks and service. I wish they can either get a bigger space somewhere else or get an outdoor space. Its important to have enough distance between the tables and also maybe lighting. I feel its a bit dark in there. Apart from that excellent choice!

Peter our waiter suggested Goat Neck which I had never had before and Sea Urchin Pasta. Both were very delicious and I was impressed by the service of Peter and all the staff. The menu is unique and special. Atmosphere very classy. Would love to come back again.
