Trouble Coffee

So I heard about this wonderful coffeeshop during an episode of This American Life podcast, episode #520, act 3, The Hostess with the Toastess, and I absolutely became driven with desire to come check it out. I took advantage of a business trip in Sacramento, and I drove all the way to San Francisco to experience this place for myself. It was definitely everything I imagined and more! The mocha was so delicious, the cinnamon honey toast was breathtaking and the coconut was refreshing and all kinds of good! Its a must see place but also the story of this place is incredible too, so checking the story out first will give you a sense of her work and the coffee shop.

Good coffee. Extra dark roast beans (elbow grease) if you like greasy beans (we do). Service can be slow and dismissive - too cool to be concerned.

Their coffee is a little bit too roasty and bitter for me. Cute place. No electric device usage. They have great toasts!!! Will come back for toasts and teas.

Good cafe not too far from the beach. Like many reviews have mentioned, the line is pretty long. Credit card payment is available, unlike some reviews said “cash only”.

Their cinnamon toast can't be missed! So buttery, so cinnamony! Even though the line was out the door, it moved fast. There had a well-oiled team of four working behind the tiny counter to serve the masses. Great, speedy service!

One of the most unique coffee shop with a strong culture and good coffee. Toast is simple and amazing. And get a coconut too

Trouble coffee will always be one of my favorite coffee shops in San Francisco. Their drip coffee is amazing. My go to order is always an americano with their epic cinnamon sugar toast. The peanut butter and honey toast is also a must. I live in Fremont and I come out here at least once a week to get my toast fix. Staff is super friendly. I love getting my coffee and toast and sitting outside on their driftwood bench and watching the day go by.

If in the area, pass by this little gem. Stopped in to get a redeye (coffee with a shot of espresso) and it was really good. However, what surprised me were two things 1. The banana chocolate chip bread that I got was insane, moist and full of flavor 2. The customer service, the two person crew was efficient for the morning rush and they were just good ole fashion NICE. That goes a long way with me and I was very appreciative of it. Will be back more often as they won a new customer. Thanks!
