On the Grid : Trinity Bellwoods Park

"Bellwoods has definitely grown to be one of Toronto's most popular parks over the past decade. Home to the infamous white squirrel, the park is filled with art installations and huddles of friends enjoying the greenery in the summertime. Perfect for picnics or getting lost in a good book. Make sure you grab a coffee, find an empty patch of grass and settle in." - Anthony Menecola

"The moment the snow melts, young Torontonians begin their annual spring migration to Trinity Bellwoods Park. The hippest park in town, Bellwoods stretchesfrom the shopper’s paradise of Queen West up to central Dundas Street. On a summer’s day, sun-and-fun seekers spread out onbeach blankets towatch the action: atthe dog run, on the tennis courts, in the kiddie pool, and even closer, on the adjacent blankets. After dark, head to nearby Bellwoods Brewery for a pint."

"Take those Saudade snacks and post up here for the afternoon—this is Toronto’s Fort Greene Park: picnics, tennis, drum circles, birthdays, hangovers all happen on the grass, with coffee from Sonndr, ice cream from White Squirrel, or treats from Nadège Patisserie lining the perimeter and one of the city’s best CN Tower views from the north end." - Coolstuff Team

This park is one of the most beautiful and serene places amidst the humdrum of city life. This park is for all seasons! During summer, there’s live music and the guitarist is just amazing! In fall, the colors are gorgeous. And in the spring, the cherry blossom is worth seeing. There a tennis courts for sport lovers, picnic tables, lot of cafes near by. It’s one of my favourite places to hangout to chill & relax after a hectic day at work.

It’s a pretty nice park, not big enough for my taste but it isn’t size that matters, it’s the general aesthetics of it. In this department, Trinity Bellwoods is good enough for a four star but not a five. Definitely got some nice scenic paths, but compare it to some other parks in Toronto and the city’s outskirts and it just doesn’t come close. Still, it’s in a convenient and nice area surrounded by nice places so I can’t hate too much. Recommend going.

This is one of my favourite parks in the city because of the lilac, cherry blossoms and the dedication to cleanliness. This park is usually well maintained and a great spot to picnic and relax. It can attract people from all over during the spring because of the beautiful trees. But other than becoming too busy, it’s a great spot.

Functional park with numerous facilities. Dog Park, Children’s Park, 6 outdoor Pickleball courts/Hockey arena, Tennis courts, Baseball diamond. Lots of open spaces and shaded areas under large trees. It’s also next to the Community Centre where they have a pool, gym & numerous activities + day-camps. There are even occasional sideshows & entertainment (see tightrope Walker/acrobat).

One of the park's highlights is its beautifully landscaped grounds, which are meticulously maintained throughout the year. From lush lawns perfect for picnics to picturesque gardens bursting with colorful blooms, every corner of Trinity Bellwoods exudes natural beauty and tranquility. Moreover, the park's amenities cater to a wide range of interests. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy facilities for tennis, baseball, and even outdoor yoga classes, while families can make use of the playgrounds and designated picnic areas. Additionally, the off-leash dog area is a favorite among furry friends and their owners alike. What truly sets Trinity Bellwoods Park apart, however, is its sense of community. Whether you're attending one of the many events hosted here, such as the annual Art in the Park festival or the lively farmer's market, or simply striking up a conversation with fellow visitors, there's a palpable feeling of camaraderie that permeates the air.

Great park with lots of things to do! There are some tennis courts for free, an area for dogs, also there is a playground for kids! Some weekends there are pop-up shops with interesting stuff. You must visit the park during spring and summer! With the good weather you can do a picknic and enjoy the good vibes of the people! Is a good spot to see the cherry blossoms!

One of my favourite parks in the city. After High Park, this is up there along with others. Lots of chill days and nights, before or after shopping. Grab some food or drinks and chill at the park. Alcohol allowed. They need to add proper washrooms and security and we’re in Europe. REMEMBER THR TUESDAY FARMERS MARKET. Also the community centre is nice too for a swim. 🏊
