Trattoria San Basilio alla Pergola is the place where you understand: happiness exists and it smells like ruddy lamb ribs. So tender that it seems they jumped from the plate straight into the heart. The waitress providing us with service is personal and absolutely excellent and a delightful bonus: she doesn’t just serve, but as if she meets an old friend, only without awkward questions like “why haven’t you been here for so long?” The waitress is so warm-hearted that there is a risk of confusing her with relatives who have finally decided to feed you properly. The atmosphere is simple, lively, without ostentatious glamour, but with that very comfort for which you go to Italy. If you are looking for gastronomic therapy for sadness and fatigue, here it is, personally tested.

Such a beautiful place! The service was amazing, you have few choices in the menu, but for me was excellent, it is italian specific and for me was easy to choose. The garden is so so nice, the staff friendly and they also have special extra menu of the day,!

We had a lovely evening here. shared a starter and desert. Menu was only in Italian but staff very helpful in explaining each option. Main meal was very tasty, best meal we had in Verona.

Amazing place to have a dinner. Hidden gem of the local cuisine.

Very tasty food and welcoming service. They know little English but make an effort to explain and illustrate using translate and photos. The dinner was very tasty, and it seems they have a different menu according to the season and fresh products of the day. Expect a few choices of each dish and each one is very good. We ate black ravioli filled with carbonara, and some lentils soup as first course. The main course was lamb with spinach, and for dessert we had some freshly made deserts of the day (chestnuts, fruits, and other things I can't describe but were very good). Great place for dinner in a walking distance from the center, affordable prices. We paid 60 euro without wine for the dinner.

Beautiful authentic local trattoria. The staff were lovely and while the food and wine was not groundbreaking it was very good quality. A most enjoyable evening
