Roma Trastevere Station is a mid-sized railway station located in the Trastevere district of Rome. It's an important hub, especially for regional and commuter trains, with services connecting to key destinations like Fiumicino Airport, Ostiense Station, and other parts of Lazio. Here are common points from reviews of the station: ### Pros: - **Convenient Location**: Trastevere Station is well-situated for travelers staying in the Trastevere area or those looking to transfer to other parts of Rome and beyond. It's also a useful station for those heading to or from Fiumicino Airport via the regional train line. - **Public Transport Access**: In addition to the train services, the station is well-connected by Rome's tram and bus networks, making it easy to reach different parts of the city. - **Functionality**: The station is functional and efficient for its size, with clear signage and regular train services. It’s generally a good station for quick connections. ### Cons: - **Basic Facilities**: The station is not as large or as modern as other major stations in Rome, such as Roma Termini. There are limited food and shopping options, and it lacks some of the amenities of larger stations. - **Cleanliness and Maintenance**: Some reviewers have mentioned that the station could be cleaner and better maintained. There can be issues with cleanliness in the bathrooms and public areas. - **Crowded at Times**: Like many transit stations, Roma Trastevere can get crowded, particularly during peak hours, and waiting areas might feel cramped. Overall, Roma Trastevere Station is regarded as practical and convenient for local and regional travel, though it’s more basic compared to larger stations in the city. It’s a good option for travelers needing access to specific routes, but those expecting more amenities may find it a bit lacking.

Quiet place and there’s plenty places to get food. Down the street from tourists attractions.

Trastevere is a colorful, avant-garde, artistic district with centuries-old working-class roots. It’s known for its traditional and unique trattorias, craft beer pubs, artisan shops, simple guesthouses, and budget hotels. From early morning until late at night, crowds of young people gather on the promenade, Piazza Sant’Acalixtus, and Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, home to a gilded church with mosaics.

Excellent facility with delicious food wonderful young waiter who interacted with fun conversation whilst providing a very good service. He will know who he is as we talked about Roma football team and our hone country Wales. Well done Trastevere you work very hard to achieve a good reputation. Your Chef must not be forgotten in this review serving up very good quality food.

A wonderful neighborhood full of gems and surprises. Get away from the hustle of the city and slow down. Colosseum is a very walkable 20 mins. Jewish neighborhood is just across the river.
