Atmosphere: 9/10
Located in Azabujuban, Tokyo Confidential balances flash with detail. The open-air patio offers a legit view of Tokyo Tower, while the indoor space wraps around a C-shaped bar framed by retro signage, abstract art, and a Godzilla sculpture dead center—bold without being gimmicky. The backbar is large, well-stocked, and looks the part. Rock music plays at a solid volume—not too loud, not too soft.

Recommendation: Sayonara Mr. Spalding
Their baseball-themed menu is sharp—each cocktail comes as a collector-style card with the name, specs, and photo, all under black light. It’s smart design, not just style. The drinks are inventive, well-composed, and come in unique glassware with cohesive garnish and presentation. Nice coasters, too. Execution overall felt curated rather than flashy.
Service: 9/10
Staff was laid-back and friendly, but the professionalism wasn’t dialed all the way in. Water and snacks arrived without asking, but no towels. Prices are a bit above average for Tokyo, but you’re paying for the concept and the experience—which mostly delivers.
This bar sits at #53 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024. That feels about right—it’s well-executed, thematically tight, and stands out in a crowded scene.
