"Al fresco drinking and dining don’t get much better than Tiny Boxwoods’s patio. With its lush grounds filled with flowers and rustic décor, this West U standout is home to one of the best outdoor dining spaces in the city. People-watch from a table or comfy couch lounger on the patio while dining on salads, sandwiches, and Tiny’s famed chocolate chip cookies." - Brittany Britto Garley
"Tiny Boxwoods looks straight out of Ina Garten’s estate. The rustic-chic garden cafe has neatly trimmed hedges, a lot of wicker furniture, and a reasonably priced all-day menu. For brunch, grab a pastry board with croissants and whipped butter or a prosciutto and truffle pizza at dinner while staring off into the greenery. And while the dining room is indeed tiny and busy, do not attempt to sit and hold a table for yourself before ordering at the counter. The staff keeps things moving and will seat you as soon as possible." - gianni greene, chelsea thomas
"Transport yourself straight to The Hamptons, or what we imagine Ina Garten’s guest house to look like, with a trip to Tiny Boxwoods. The ultra-chic garden cafe in River Oaks does have neatly trimmed hedges, a plethora of wicker furniture, and an impeccable and reasonably priced brunch. Try a lush pastry board with croissants and whipped butter, go minimalist with the Southside’s perfectly soft scrambled eggs and salsa, or get the brunch Lucky Burger with double-stacked patties between housemade brioche. And while the dining room is indeed tiny and busy, just don’t try to sit before you order—the staff keeps things moving and will seat you as soon as possible." - gianni greene, chelsea thomas
"An oasis within the city, Tiny Boxwoods pairs an elegant menu of comfort eats with a picturesque dining space that spills out onto an expansive, well-manicured courtyard. Start with a limoncello spritz and a grazing board, before indulging in the steak frites or a bacon and leek pizza. Then, opt for one (or two) of Tiny’s famed chocolate chip cookies while perusing the beautiful property." - Megha McSwain
