"This chic cocktail and small plates spot in Brixton is a classy place to spend an evening. The short food menu has drinking in mind: there’s smoky chicken wings with spring onion, blistered padrón peppers, garlic butter prawns and slow-cooked beef brisket served in a brioche bun. Grab a drink, order some snacks and settle in. Open until 1am." - Daisy Meager

"Need a date spot in Brixton that does some nice cocktails and some good enough nibbles? Three Eight Four is that spot. The small plates will not blow you away, but it’s a great little spot for a few cheeky cocktails nonetheless." - Eileen Twum

This place has been on my list for ages. So glad I had the chance to visit on a Random Friday a few weeks ago. I have wanted to visit before but it always looks so busy however this time we decided to give it a go. Sam greeted us and was so accommodating. 10/10 for Sam. He showed us the downstairs space however we opted for a table upstairs. Sam was quite knowledgeable on the wines which was really helpful and I loved his recommendation. I also had a French Martin which I loved. I really love the intimate cosy atmosphere and the warm and welcoming staff so shout out to Sam and Hudson. I can’t wait to return and try the food!!

Very nice bar with tasty small plates in case you get hungry. They even do happy hour with cocktails for £5. If you happen to be around the area give it a shot. Congrats on the layout and the friendly smiley staff. Very satisfied with you guys! Well done

Unreal cocktails. I’m not sure the last time I saw a cocktail list with over 100 cocktails. All amazing! My favorite was the pisco sour. Food wise, we ordered a lot more but I didn’t get pics of it all. Absolutely loved the chicken wings, the mushrooms and arancini balls. Flatbread was good but I prefer it with a dip. We did end up ordering the houmous however we ate most of the flatbread by the time it came. Would have loved more scallops as it comes with 3. As we were 5, we shared them by splitting in half so as you can imagine it was hard to get a good bite. The desserts were both incredible. Highly recommend. Food and cocktails came out a bit slow. Still would return. Really lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Tables are too small though and servers seemed to struggle with this each time they brought a dish. I think a few dishes could have had smaller plates to help this a bit.

Very pleasantly surprised by the food here. It's an unassuming venue, but very very nice. The service is quick and friendly and the food really was delicious. Cocktails were very good too, and there was a huge variety.

Such a fantastic little spot. (There is some outdoor seating and a downstairs section, so maybe not so little). The food is FANTASTIC!!! Very aesthetically pleasing. The Bavette steak was super flavorful and I started with this grape/pear/orange salads that gave EVERYTHING!! It had hints of sweet and bitter and earthy backed with a mustard vinaigrette that really brought everything together! The salad was quite large. Definitely enough for two. I had to try the pork collar tacos and those were delicious. Pomegranate seeds added a nice crunch and some sweetness. I finished with the Confit potatoes which were oh so flavorful and crispy. The drinks list is extensive. I started with a local beer since I didn’t plan on drinking. After watching the bartenders make several drinks, I caged for an amazing mojito. 10/10 highly recommended. Navish and Bailey were fantastic hosts!

I’ve been here for dinner a few times and it has always been great. I booked the basement room for a birthday party celebration. Incredible service, food and atmosphere. The management team were very responsive to emails about allergens and pre-ordering food for the night. The basement room is beautiful and a great place for an event or celebration. The table was really nicely set and lots of attention to detail. The food was amazing - described as small sharing plates but actually really decent portions, no one went hungry. Lots of compliments on the food and cocktails from my friends. Thank you so much for such a lovely evening!

Google
Such a great vibe in this bar, perfect for a couple/smaller groups. The music, service, ambience and lighting are spot on. Huge array of cocktails, impressive range of non-alcoholic drinks too. Would love to come back and try the food.

Yelp
Cool little bar in Brixton! Good food, booze and service. If you're feeling very hungry, take a little extra cash.

Yelp
I really do like this place. Friendly staff, great ambience and you can sit at the bar. Disappointingly small martini though. The glass is literally not even half way full!

Yelp
I've been to this bar a few times and every time my opinion of it declines. I absolutely love the NYC Hipster style chic, glass bricks in the bar, soft amber lighting peeking out at you from shopping baskets secured to the wall full of old bulbs (yeah, it's a fun feature, check it out), old school red bus seats, the sheen of metal, and the grimy, gritty feel. However it is it's descending into grimy / gritty - for real. All of the glasses weren't clean, and when replaced after I ordered a new one, I still had to clean it - although the napkins in the dispenser on the table showed stains. And it's not the cheapest - around £4.50 for a small glass of house red is okay, but £5 for the tiniest portion of pardon peppers is quite extreme. Food quality is okay, but I'd come here more for a drink and a nibble. A great vibe and a wonderful bar, but they really need to get their hygiene factors right.

Yelp
Very trendy little bar in Brixton! Came here for dinner on a Friday evening, it was super busy but luckily we were able to make a table reservation ahead of time. The bar/ restaurant area is quite small and loud- but it had a great atmosphere so I didn't mind too much. To eat, we enjoyed the charcuterie board, sticky ribs, the ceviche and an order of the rosemary bread. Each had a very unique and original presentation- the Chinese style sticky ribs came in a cute Chinese take-out box and the ceviche came served on table tennis bats! The food was really tasty and reasonably priced. The cocktails were also very creative- I enjoyed the 'Kamm and Tings' whilst my husband ordered the 'Chimmicherry Flip'. Both were very good and I enjoyed the way each cocktail was presented differently. Overall we had a lovely evening at three eight four and would definitely return. Next time I'd like to snag a seat at the bar to watch the bartenders getting creative with the cocktails!

Yelp
My friends and I ducked in here for a quick drink after eating at Franco Manca in Brixton Market. It's a very hip place with beautiful decor. It felt a little bit like somewhere that might exist in Brooklyn. I'm still a little under the weather so I got some mint tea for 3 pounds that came it its own teapot with a cute mini glass tumbler. My friends got various fancy cocktails that were very artfully crafted. I want to come back again because they have various small plates that looked really good. One of the small plates was American Candy Bars, which I found very intriguing. It was pretty crowded for a Wednesday night because it's very hip, but we were able to get a table. I'll be back!

Yelp
Let us talk about buttered garlic shrimp and pear salad and brisket and courgette fritters. Add watermelon margaritas, immense ice balls in exotic drinks like apricot sazerac - all in a decor and design that manages flowered wall paper cozy and exposed brick edgy on a rainy day in Brixton. Beautiful service to see and to experience. They were nice to little old ladies coming in out of the rain.

Yelp
Just visited for the first time last night. Great little bar and they did virgin cocktails for me which were so delicious I wondered if they had slipped in a sneaky shot. They were really nice and the bar staff were really keen to help. Didn't have any food but other people's plates smelt amazing. I would definitely go back. Beautiful bartender was cherry on top.

Yelp
This place is the epitome of Brixton cool. I came here with a few friends on Friday evening, without booking ahead but it was probably around 9 PM. It does seem like you can make a reservation though! We basically ordered the majority of the small plates to share, with the recommendation to get 2 each, or 3 if we were very hungry. The vibe is ultra cool, the food was exceptional, and the bill was totally reasonable. People seem to come here for just drinks as well, and the cocktails are well priced at £6-8. If I lived in the area, this place would definitely be my local.

Yelp
Really friendly staff and the bottomless brunch coffee is outstanding. Brunch menu are just pancakes but done really well and not oversized. Their after 2pm small plates menu looks excellent too. But cannot emphasise enough how friendly staff are. Will definitely go out of our way to go back!

Yelp
Won't go here again. The place stinks of damp and my belongings including an iPad got wet with toilet water after they'd had a leak. The cocktails are bizarre, what was supposed to be margerita turned up in a tall glass full of chillies. To say the manager was rude would be an understatement, she even had the audacity to try and charge us for the cocktails after we'd got soaked with wee water.
