"This dreamy golf course in Bulgaria sits on the edge of a cliff looking out at the Black Sea. Conceptualized by Gary Player, the 85-hectare design is popular for the sixth hole, which boasts a wide view of the ocean."

Golf is amazing, had a wonderful time with the instructor who is the best I’ve ever had! Hotel, service, pricing and business model is terrible… Dissapoonting, stressful, unpleasant… seams the management has no idea whats doing. Just an example, they advertise private beach, you go there and you pay to stay there, even tho u are a guest there, than u wait 30min so they bring u the menu and another 1h for food. Crazy, and thats everywhere…

A true gem tucked away on Bulgaria’s northern Black Sea coast. Thracian Cliffs offers breathtaking views, world-class golf, and a serene beach experience unlike any other. The dramatic cliffside setting, exceptional service, and luxurious accommodations make it feel like a hidden paradise. Perfect for both relaxation and adventure—an unforgettable escape.

First things first, the golf course is incredible. It is kept in fantastic condition, and has amazing sea views on every hole. It is also very challenging so do not expect to play to your handicap. In terms of the hotel, the rooms and facilities were great, but the food and drink prices do leave a bitter taste in the mouth. Considering that 10 minutes up the road you can get a full on meal with starters and drinks for less than £20 a head, charging £5 for a small beer at the hotel does not seem appropriate.

The location is spectacular, it has the loveliest view of the Black Sea. The Argata beach is beautiful, with white sand and turquoise water. The restaurants are very good. The breakfast has a lot of variety and the food was good. The only downside is the transfer to the beach. You can get to the beach only by the cars from the hotel and you wait for ages for one to come to take you to and from the beach.

Golf is absolutely amazing here, very hard so take a lot of balls. One of the best I've ever played. The hotel itself is okay, the only thing was quite a few of the bar and waiting staff were really miserable, as if we were inconveniencing them - made for a weird atmosphere. Other than that, fully recommended

I am giving a rating only for the golf course, not the accommodation. The golf course has stunning views. One of the best in Europe. The maintenance of the fairways though is not the best, which was a disappointment after paying a very high price. In the past it was not the case. I came here 2 times before and the situation was much different. I have a feeling that the prices go up and the quality goes down. The proshop is very disappointing as well - very bad style clothes for women. In such a place I would expect a trendy offering, not items for old ladies. Still I am giving a high score, simply because the place is unique. I do hope that the management will put more effort into a proper maintenance.

Thracian Cliffs golf resort is certainly in a beautiful setting. The website states that the onsite shops, supermarket, beach restaurants etc will be closed from mid October. Unfortunately these were already closed without letting us know before our arrival. The majority of the front desk staff didn't speak English and others were quite unfriendly. Our apartment was a few minutes walk away from everything so the free buggy service getting back up the steep hills was great. The three swimming pools were full of leaves and freezing cold and sun loungers were already stored away so we couldn't use them. The Pro shop wasn't stocked. Not even ball markers or carry bags were available. The staff (except one younger man) were lazy and not bothered to speak or help with our enquiries. The two onsite restaurants were lovely and food delicious. The Spa was lovely, beautifully done with great facilities. We asked for milk in our rooms but were refused. Instead we took a 15 minutes taxi to the closest Town for our room groceries. The tough golf course is stunning and immaculately kept. The refreshments buggy advertised was nowhere to be seen in our seven days. All in all it's a stunning golf course well worth visiting.
