Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort

September 2025 - I am giving the overall experience and rating 3 out of 5 stars. Here are the details: The location is great. What a stunning place. The Golf course was in great shape and despite challanging to play the course itself is well maintained. The room was very nice and large and offered more from what I expected. The Facility has a nice layout and it was easy getting around Here are the opportunities - in my humbled opinion: The facility is in need of maintenance. Too many broken steps, loose ground, slip and trip hazards etc. Best to describe the overall impression "The place has seen much better days" The room has a moldy smell with visible wet spots (previously wet) on the wall in the bedroom. The matress has significant sagging very typical for an old or low quality matress. Price points at the restaurants is on the very high end and the quality is not matching the asking price. In particular selling Wine by the bottle for 5-6 times more of the actual retail cost is very greedy. Overall, the entire facility / resort is in a nice location however desperatley needs some TLC (Tender Loving Care).

Golf course is in excellent location where you can have ocean view while golfing. Golfers if you'd like to play, here is my humble remarks: If you like challenges but I would like to have fair chances to survive, today, I had trees and branches right in front of tee boxes which were ashame that i couldn't track and trace my ball flights. Hole 7, 190 m carry minimum to carry over the ocean where in the heavy wind... I'm not sure if it is really fair to accept the challenge or I was making wastes to the ocean... Playing speed wise, this course really needs marshall to keep playing speed and distance in between flights... For blind holes, I would appreciate if there is a stick on the fareway.. but it wasn't... For golfers, you are looking for a stunning course to play. It could be the one for you. But make sure you have the right expectations. Relax, bring more balls and forget about the score. If I ask to myself if i wpuld revisit this cpirse once again? Possibly yes, but i will adjust my expectation to enjoy the unique and spetacular layout. Enjoy my 5 hours in the course and views. Golfing becomes a plus in the visit. :-)

If you are looking for a real 5star hotel and experience, please read the review! Check in day - no water supply in the building, receptionist calls the apartment at 11pm just randomly to check if the water is available..he thought is completely normal to ring and wake us up at any time Reservation for beach was made for every day for 3 Sunbeds. First day we went to the beach, the guy there was beyond rude and told us they have shortage of Sunbeds and he does not care that we have reservation, we will get only 2 Sunbeds. Be aware even if its part of the hotel you still pay for umbrella and Sunbeds. His name is Viktor and he is one of the most rude people I have even encountered in a hotel. Breakfast absolutely, absolutely the same every day, and very basic selection, definitely not 5star hotel breakfast. Staff are fighting all the time amongst them and the restaurant is very average. No lifeguards at the beach and from time to time waiters from the beach restaurant and the boys who distribute towels, change their clothes in the VIP cabana and become lifeguards. We asked for ice at the beach restaurant and they told us that they dont have much ice after 2pm so they can't give us. Service is soooo poor and average that you really cant justify the price of the accommodation and what you get. We booked VIP welcome package once we check in, we never received it and never got refund for it, even though I asked multiple times. The manager, unless, aware of all problems and literally not moving a finger. Honestly one of the worst places I have visited in Bulgaria when it comes to customer service and overall experience.

Wonderful place, great natural surroundings, but there's a very big problem with the beach umbrellas and some of the staff! The height and materials of the umbrellas (with very sharp edges) make them dangerous for those who go to the beach. They can get seriously injured with little carelessness. Dangerous for children and teenagers too. Moreover, when we asked at the bar if they sold cigarettes, one of the barmaids (brunette with curly hair) started counting the cigarettes in her pack and asked for 50 Leva for 10 cigarettes!!! Please give her a raise! :)

Unbelievable how bad the services are now, we had to wait more than 30 mins to get back from the beach with the shuttle. Reception was unreachable, and none of the stuff at the beach were there to support, actually later I saw them enjoying a cabana. This is the second year already with huge waiting times for the beach shuttle. More than that, the rooms are the same as 7 years ago with wall paint degrading. Still wondering if we will come back next year.

Golf is amazing, had a wonderful time with the instructor who is the best I’ve ever had! Hotel, service, pricing and business model is terrible… Dissapoonting, stressful, unpleasant… seams the management has no idea whats doing. Just an example, they advertise private beach, you go there and you pay to stay there, even tho u are a guest there, than u wait 30min so they bring u the menu and another 1h for food. Crazy, and thats everywhere…

The place is easy to access from Romania, either from Vama Veche or Negru Vodă. The majority of tourists are Romanians. Pro: great view, cozy beach, good food, good spa (sauna), very nice rooms. Cons: the services are expensive (restaurant, beach umbrella, massage, grocery store inside the complex). The beach is a bit far and can be reached only by golf carts of the hotel; they are free but you need to wait for it. There is a Lidl 10 minutes away by car where you can buy more.

The resort is located in a beautiful area, surrounded by cliffs and trees, between rocky slopes are two beautiful beaches that are accessible by walking or a shuttle. Beautifully designed and preserved.
