The Paper Place is a huge coup de cœur, I've seen many paper shops over the years and often feel like I’m stepping into similar experiences—fun but predictable, with products seemingly sourced from the same distributors. The decor may vary, but the overall experience often feels the same over and over again. However, The Paper Place stands out. From the moment you enter, it is clear that this shop is run by people who are passionate about paper. You can hear them talk about origami and supplies, and the staff are not only knowledgeable but also super enthusiastic about what they do. Their smiles and dedication is a proof of that. The care taken in selecting the paper and curating the store is evident. Every item is beautifully displayed, with thoughtful and charming presentation. I found myself wanting to stay longer, even considering leaving my job just to be surrounded by such an inspiring environment! I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. The next time I’m in Toronto, I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

The store is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly patient and helpful. They went above and beyond to assist me with a last-minute pre-Christmas order. I also had the pleasure of attending their bookbinding workshop, which was a wonderful experience. I look forward to seeing more events like this in the future!

Google
Smashing IT! Wow. What else can I say? But a huge WOW! I love this place. My soul loves this place. My eyes love this place! The selection of wrapping paper is so amazing. So amazing that I had a great idea. Inside of wall papering the whole paper, why not just pick up a few pieces of wrapping paper and use that instead or even better why not frame it? It's that gorgeous. Also, I love the selection of stationary, all sorts of amazing bold colours. I like to call this gem of a spot on Queen Street a bonanza of great exploding colours to tickle your the inner artist in you.

Passed by this store a few times, because I live outside of the GTA I decided to order online. We ordered envelopes for our wedding + thank you cards and we’re so happy we got them from here. We’re pleased by the fast delivery and quality. What makes it even more better is our wedding theme was navy and the colour of the envelopes matched perfectly. Thank you so much 🥰🤍

Google
The Paper Place is a phenomenal business. The quality and selection is so vast and impressive. They provide an elevated level of customer care and from start to finish, this was an exceptional customer experience. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Google
THE PAPER PLACE IS THE PLACE TO BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Came to this paper haven one sunny spring day. Located across the street from Trinity Bellwoods park, this store truly earns it's name. It carries everything, and I mean EVERYTHING paper related: cards, notebooks, notepads, origami paper, wrapping paper, bunting, custom envelopes, handmade paper, puzzles- you name it! I ended up buying the peony notebook ($16) and "to do" notepad ($11) shown in the pictures below. The store was gorgeous to walk through and the staff were so sweet (side note: like the kind you'd expect to own a yarn store). Will definitely come by again to snatch up some more murdered tree goodies *insert obnoxious carbon footprint cackle.

Yelp
Epic. If you love paper this is a must. This place is massive and is basically like a double store. There is a whole section of beautiful arts, stationary, calendars, journals, stickers, artsy books, washi tapes all kinds of paper goods. They also have large sheets of special papers, and more customized invitations sorts of services. I love coming in and looking around when it's not too crowded. Good prices and knowledgeable staff.

Yelp
I absolutely could not be happier with my visit to The Paper Place. I came all the way from Pennsylvania just to visit and was thoroughly impressed. It's a beautiful shop with the nicest staff. The selection is staggeringly beautiful. There was so much gorgeous paper to choose from, you really can't do better. I hope I can visit again some day

Yelp
A really beautiful store Plastered (terrible wording) with quality papers Used for a few book bindings; really added to the quality and resell value

Yelp
They have great stationery. I buy all my cards for gift giving here. Also found some cool gift wrapping paper which I put into little frames. The gentleman working there had a really pleasant demeanour and was so helpful. Such a great store. I will say I found the posters slightly cheaper in another store.

Alice F.

Yelp
I bought a beautiful poster here. The staff were really helpful and friendly. And the prices were great too!

Yelp
I rarely buy cards and when I say rarely I mean almost never. If you received a card from me it means that you're pretty damn special. If you received one from me that has my name on it AND my wife's name on it odds are she forged my signature on the card and made it look like I signed it. That being said it takes a lot for me to buy a card for somebody. My own wife will tell you that she cherishes the cards I give her because they are so few and far between. Sure there are high end cards like Papyrus which can be found just about everywhere from Target (RIP Target Canada) to other stores but this place has something so different you're almost assured that a card here won't be a repetition of some other cookie cutter your friend/relative/loved one will receive. To me that's special enough for me to purchase TWO cards from here. If you know me, that's like... a lottery or something like that. This store is different from many other card and stationary stores out there. Their wrapping paper is so nice I'd be pissed if I wrapped a gift with their cool paper and the person receiving it ripped it. I'd tell them how special that bloody paper was and that they best be removing that tape or whatever least harmful adhesive I'd use with the precision of a neurosurgeon. Just kidding... or am I?

Yelp
Coming here you'll get an overwhelming choice of different paper. After much research, there are other options for your regular card stock, but what is unique is the Japanese patterned paper that they sell here. (Among a whole bunch of other crafty materials). My rating as dropped because I'm upset that they will not own up to their error. I had come into the store and took home a $3 (8x11) sample of their Chiyogami paper. I didn't remember the exact number of this, and given that they had a bright purple version, and a slightly more toned down version that looked burgundy. Since I wanted the burgundy, I went ahead with ordering over the phone for Chiyogami 215 (https://secure.thepaperplace.ca/details.php?prodId=202&category=5&secondary=8&keywords=red%20floral) When I got the paper, it was bright red! I thought I made a mistake, and went back to check (see my photo, top one is the one I got) and went to check the website. Come on, this looks NOTHING like the one on their website. What I got, is more representative of this one http://www.papermojo.com/Chiyogami--215C_p_4918.html Something is wrong with the website image. I emailed The Paper Place nicely, realizing that I might be stuck with this paper. Sucks because we had matched ALL our ink on my wedding invitations to this burgundy colour. Although I cannot get a refund, I wanted them to know that the website image is misleading. They accused me of my monitor colours being off. Although they have offered me a new sheet of paper (but would have to cut it myself), they STILL INSIST that the two are the same and WILL NOT OWN UP to the mistake. I find this quite irritating and a little bit fraudulent. and I hope that no one else has this bad experience. So, GO TO THE STORE and DO NOT ORDER ONLINE to make sure you get the paper. It's disheartening to see such a quality store have such problems. The paper, large sheet costs $16. It's minimum $35 per cut, my understanding is that it's a flat fee, and they cut to any reasonable size. Turns out that it's a $1 per minute. I would confirm this before getting it cut. I love this store to window shop, but don't think I'll buy anything here again.

Yelp
There's nothing better than receiving a gift that's been hand wrapped and deocrated with gorgeous, ornately designed paper. For those of you who appreciate paper for more than just filling up your printer, The Paper Place is for you. Rolls and rolls of stunning Japanese-style paper hang from the walls in a rainbow of colours, textures and patterns. Paper might not be your thing, but you can't walk in here without gaining a new appreciation for this ancient art form. As well as paper, they also sell journals, notebooks, photo albums, origami kits, cards and gifts. Prices are fair and you'll go home with a some very unique and beautiful pieces!

Todd V.

Yelp
I came across this place when it was known as the Japanese Paper Place. Now just known as The Paper Place, not much has changed. It's still a great place to go in and grab all of your stationary and wrapping paper needs. My friend who used to run her own magazine from her house used to go here religiously to get all the paper that she'd need for publishing. Know though that you don't need to be looking at publishing to enjoy shopping at the place. As a writer myself, I'm constantly looking for pens that I can rely on and that feel comfy in the hand. I've yet to be disappointed at my purchases here and continue to return for supplies. They also specialize in wrapping paper and (if you've got the hands for it you're way better than me) origami. See? You can still get some Japanese things there.

Alice U.

Yelp
The products and the paper at this store are amazing. One of those stores where you'll want to buy so many things. However, the staff and customer service can be really hit or miss. Some of the female staff members are knowledgable and friendly. Some are just friendly. The senior male staff member can be unfriendly depending on the day, but he is knowledgeable....

Yelp
There is no better name for this store. We're talking the aptest of nomenclature, son. The Paper Place is positively overflowing with paper EVerything: notebooks (including Rhodia), handmade and craft paper, cards and calendars, gift boxes, stationery and tonnes of crafting paraphenalia. You can certainly get lost in here for a while if crafting is your thing, and there is lots of interesting knick-knacks to look at. For a moment, I thought I was in PDX because everything had a bird on it. Seriously, it's a cute-fest in here. You can and will find that gift, or "gifting supplies", or inspiration for a gift, that you are looking for. If you go to the second half of the store there is a GIANT wall of paper, and you can order cuts to size. A must visit for the paper obsessed. Pyromaniacs: stay away. Obligatory Title Pun: This place is the SHEET. Menu Readability: Pretty. Oh, so pretty. Need to mention: I was probably the only person in here with chest hair. We're talking broad central. (Whistles) What this place teaches me about myself: I am paper obsessed.

Evelyn A.

Yelp
If stationary be the food of love, write on. Alright, you got me. That's a twist on a line from Twelfth Night. It's fitting because Twelfth Night* is ye olde times for the twelve days of Christmas, and we all know this is the season for paper products. Holiday cards, thank you card sets, wrapping paper, paper decor, ribbon and glitter tape. These are the things that made up my haul, and I love all of it. I'm especially proud of my glitter tape, I've really upped my wrapping game. Imperfect wrap jobs become somehow adorable with glitter tape. Trust. This place is also full of all of the things you need to make origami or DIY wedding invites. The latter is part of the reason I am giving it five stars... brides can be harsh critics because they're so caught up in every small detail of their big day, so big ups to this staff for being so friendly, thorough and on point all of the time. *Excuse the Professor Pepper lesson, I mean no condescension.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Don't expect to be in and out of The Paper Place with any great speed. You WILL get lost exploring the countless gift items, journals, greeting cards, and gift wraps. There is a selection of rubber stamps, seals, scrapbooking items, photo albums, calendars, origami supplies, funky file folders and other office supplies. This is the place to go to find a gift for that crafty friend, the correspondent, the reader, or the self-reflector. If you're throwing a party, you can find (or make!) the invites, thank you cards, cupcake liners and toppers, and gift bags here. As another reviewer suggested, I also have a couple of framed papers acting as art at home... very inexpensive to change when you're feeling like mixing it up! Staff are friendly and helpful, and the store is bright and inviting.

Susan F.

Yelp
The Paper Place is the kind of store you can get lost in for hours (unless, of course, you're with a complaining boyfriend who isn't interested in crafting. I recommend you leave them at home). My brother and his wife went here for his wedding invitation supplies, and I've been back many times since. Their selection is so amazing, and there are so many fun "gifty" type things, many of which I haven't seen any where else (and I live in Kensington!). The best thing here is definitely the wall of papers, and envelopes. It is a great store for anyone looking for wedding supplies, because the staff (and the walls) are full of ideas. Really though, if you have time and are in the area, anyone would enjoy this store. If you have a few free minutes (or hours) stop by!

Tara A.

Yelp
Another Gem in the Trinity Bellwoods area has to be The Paper Place. I frequent the store to pick up card or wrapping paper. Sometimes I even pick up some unique paper to use as art in frames on my wall. They have so many options with a wide range of prices to match. Yesterday I bought a cool paper calendar for my pen pal (very mailing friendly) and also picked up a Christmas card for her (she's from Birmingham) that said "Greeting's from Toronto". A few months ago I went into the store and they had someone doing calligraphy on envelopes which really added an old feel to any letter / card / gift. They always seem to have something going on. Having a pen pal, I go thru stationary quite quickly. At the Paper Place I was able to make my own stationary set so that Kirsten and I could write on beautiful paper and use each other's letters as art once we had received them. The paper is quite beautiful and all a bit different. If you're a fan of making gifts looks pretty or add that extra touch of personality, (especially with the holiday season coming so quickly) I highly suggest you venture to The Paper Place.

Yelp
Life is full of indulgence, irresponsible spending, and sometimes we just plain throw our money into the toilet... Quite literally, I mean, we buy toilet paper to wipe our various nether regions and then flush it down a water-filled hole. Now, I am not an eco-obsessed lady, so this blurb is not a call to get you to wipe your bottoms with reusable rags. What I am attempting to do is have you switch from Charmin' to No Name so that you might save up to enjoy another kind of paper, the kind of paper that is handmade and sold at the Japanese Paper Place. Every piece of paper in the store is handmade, delicate, drenched with colour, impeccably designed and just plain beautiful. In other words, this kind of paper is never going in the toilet. The store sells handmade stationary and they also design invitations and hand-make photo albums. Even if you are not in the mood to indulge in another paper product, the store is worth just going to have a look around.

Denise S.

Yelp
This stationary/art supply shop across from Trinity Bellwoods is a fun place to browse. I always wish I were more craft-y when I see all the pretty DIY projects in the window. They do have workshops and classes from time to time, although I have never attended. They sell a wide variety of fancy paper by the roll. There are also lots of photo albums, scrapbooks, greeting cards, stamps, calendars, and cute trinkets. It's a great place to buy gifts. The stuff isn't cheap, but quality seems pretty good. Worth stopping by for a look!

Andrea W.

Yelp
Honestly? I want to get married just so I can make wedding invitations with Paper Place products. Ah, the joy of cut and paste! The Paper Place used to be known as The Japanese Paper Place. Chiyogami printed paper is their specialty, along with origami supplies, stationary and cards. The Paper Place is a sure bet if you need a small gift for a child or a creative adult. There are toys, craft supplies and notebooks imported from Japan. Everything is gorgeous! Naturally, all this gorgeous stuff is not cheap. http://www.thepaperplace.ca/products.html The Paper Place also runs workshops on bookmaking, printing, card making and other such crafts. http://www.thepaperplace.ca/workshops.html

Sherry S.

Yelp
What a lovely, LOVELY shop. If you want paper of all kind (gorgeous Japanese patterned paper), amazing washi tape, albums, scrapbooking materials, greeting cards, journals.. I could go on. I'd definitely come back here just to buy Japanese patterned paper to frame and hang on my walls.

Alex B.

Yelp
One of my worldwide favorites. I always stop in when in Toronto. The well-curated selection of papers, cards, and paper-o-phile things is a welcome addition to the city and to my slate of shops that I like to visit. As a bookbinder, it is often difficult to find supplies locally, and it always has something interesting in stock. Prices are a little on the high side, but you are definitely paying for convenience and location.

Melissa J.

Yelp
Before anyone misinterprets my review, let me say that this store is adorable. They have the most gorgeous paper and materials, and a cute section with random stationery accessories and great gift ideas. It gets four stars for being phenomenal, and for occasionally having a good sale section that makes going in there more bearable. They lose a star because the whole lifestyle encouraged by this store just doesn't make sense to me. I just can't get into the whole scrap-booking, home-made invitation, CRAZY expensive and time-consuming habit. I really can't. Martha Stewart tried to tell me that it was worth my time, but I think the only way I would have that much time is if I had a ridiculously wealthy husband who insisted I didn't have to work or bear children, and I had all day to prepare invitations for my various charity events. Needless to say, I am not and will never be that person. Maybe one day when I'm not a poor student and can afford all the luxuries in life, I will wrap a gift with beautiful, extravagant homemade paper. Until then, Dollarama has some great patterns that work just fine, and I'll stop in to The Paper Place to buy cute pig-shaped paperclips for stocking stuffers.

Rana L.

Yelp
My friends kept telling me to check out this store cuz I'm a huge paper crafter. Stepping in, the presentation was incredible. Everything was just so beautiful ! However I'm too used to getting deals at local scrapbooking stores in my area so I did not really like paying regular price (inflated prices IMHO) for certain things. I would def give this place a shot if you're interested in Japanese papers. Huge selection. I ended up purchasing only 3 small gold sparkle papers, 2 scrapbook paper (gorgeous but more than what I usually pay for), and a pair of fringe scissors (after comparing prices on eBay). Almost purchase some washi tapes but not for nearly $5. It's a great store though with nice staff. I saw some helping couples in the invitations area. There are books on anything related to paper, origami, envelopes, etc. Def worth stopping by.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
This place was cute, a lot of different crafty stuff to choose from. This place has a lot of items that you didn't even realize you needed until you see them!

Oliver B.

Yelp
Easily one of my favourite places to spend some time on a lazy Sunday. Why spend six dollars on a birthday card someone else made when you can get a nicely coloured envelope and card for less than $2, then write your own sentiment inside?

Mira L.

Yelp
Great selection of paper and very organized! I was most impressed with their stock of Japanese paper. It took me hours to choose my DIY wedding stationary but it was a lot of fun! I really like the DIY planning station at the back of the store. The staff are always very eager to help and very knowledgeable. Prices are on the higher end but I love to go during their sales.

Jane C.

Yelp
My heart is filled with awe when I browse through their Chiyogami paper selection. I find myself wrought with indecisiveness when trying to choose which to purchase. They have great choices for all your crafting needs and the store itself, is an experience to be enjoyed. Situated across from Trinity bellwoods, they have large windows that absorbs tons of natural lighting against the light stained wood interior. The shelves are adorned with goodies that make you smile and the layout is organized, well-thought out and easy to navigate. This store is part of the reason why Queen St. W is so awesome!

Paul B.

Yelp
Neat Japanese stuff here... nice wrapping paper and paper to do a resume on to impress. Also has orgami paper. Not top price, not bottom price, but fairly priced I think. Also had some nice objects'd'art... the drift wood boxes from P.E.I. were impressive as hell... could be collectables... But as Mario says (misquote) "I buy your art... 10 cents a pound... promise not to burn". Andrew (c) Copyright 2017. Andrew M. Walduck. Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.

Roslyn S.

Yelp
First time visitor and being a greeting card designer and crafter, felt like a small slice of heaven when I walked in and got familiar with the uniqueness of their papers. Pricing was a little bit higher than what I'm used to but didn't mind. Definitely a much better and vast selection than other craft stores I frequent! Definitely return and a more frequent basis! And staff (especially Emily) were friendly and helpful.

Dardana M.

Yelp
I think Melissa is onto something. This is indeed one of those stores that makes me wonder where people get all of the disposable income and time in order to truly utilize the services of a store such as this enough to keep it in business- but I could say that about so many others. As for these guys, they really do have a particularly pretty array of products. A whole shelf of origami books and erm, supplies (ie. paper), erasers and magnets posing as mini-appliances and foods (sushi is a big one), animal-shaped paper clips and notebooks galore. I once bought a Moleskine here in the midst of enjoying one last warm day in Trinity Bellwoods park, even though I got a discount on them at my work. It's like I was possessed.

D S.

Yelp
I went to check it out because I am planning my DIY wedding. I wanted paper for invitation, reply cards, invitation pockets, programs etc. the selection looked amazing but there was so much. I stood there like a dear caught in head lights unable to get service. It's one thing to not get a greeting it's another thing to completely ignore a customer AND THEN greet the person that comes in after them. they definitely lost my hundreds of dollars in business.

Avitania B.

Yelp
Beautiful paper for gift-wrapping, crafts, and the writing of beautiful letters (or perhaps very stylish ugly ones). Also a great place to find unique journals, fabulous greeting cards, and other pieces of stationery. The service here is quite friendly, though the size of the shop and the meandering crowds make it a little difficult to navigate the store on weekends. Highly recommended for the most discerning of paper nerds and crafties!

Joanne L.

Yelp
The greeting card selection here is smaller (as opposed to my usual, Juxtapose) but works in a pinch.

Lou R.

Yelp
BRUTAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!' I bought a small quantity of 3 different papers from this store and then trotted down the street to TPH to get my printing done. Two of the three papers were not compatible with TPHs printers so I went back to THE PAPER PLACE to return my unused (and totally intact) paper that I had purchased 10 minutes before. I was then told (for the first time) that they have a no return policy. This policy was never iterated to me by the person that helped me in the store. The no return policy is buried in mouse type at the bottom of their receipt. Had I known of this policy I would not have bought the other two versions of delicate paper as I figured there might be a problem at the printer. I can understand that an attempted return of paper purchased days, weeks or months before could pose a problem as they would have no idea what type of abuse might have been incurred by the paper - but I was in the store 10 minutes earlier! A typical example of how rules don't fit every circumstance and how a simple service gesture could have made my experience a much better one. Some times people just don't STOP AND THINK!

jenna m.

Yelp
The Paper Place situated directly across the street from Trinity Bellwood's park is a Mecca for creative souls. The store is jam packed with so many beautiful and colourful items. The Paper Place inspires people to be more creative and to be appreciative of stunning designs and quality craftsmanship. They carry a vast selection of excellent products ranging from Japanese gift wrap, journals, gift cards, crafting tools, calendars to kitschy office supplies. I always look forward with such delight to visiting the Paper Place! The staff is very helpful and charming. It is almost overwhelming trying to select paper from this store because you have an endless selection of beautiful designs with various colors, textures, patterns and impressions. Stop in at Clafouti grab a coffee and a croissant and browse through the Paper Place. You will not be disappointed and you will most likely leave with something exquisite that will make your teeth sparkle and your soul smile. I highly recommend The Paper Place! ! But make um understand its Westside foe life!

Sae Rom J.

Yelp
I love going to the paper store not just for their variety of papers but they have unique selection of stationeries imported from Korea and Japan. definitely my go to place for gifting! they also have sale for selected papers so it's nice to look around the store corner.

Cathy H.

Yelp
Their paper selection is: to quote yelp, "Woohoo! As good as it gets!"

Leslie-Anne W.

Yelp
The Paper Place sends me into a tizzy. This store makes me forget that i don't need to stockpile japanese paper, Christmas cards and moleskine notebooks. If you have a predilection towards gorgeous paper goods - for the love of god stay away.

sandy s.

Yelp
I love this place! I used to love it more though. There used to be a really nice man that was always working. I guess he is gone now, now I always get served by a bitchy lady. Just my luck. The paper and crafts here are amazing and I highly recommend this place to anyone. I just wish that nice man was still there.

Nadine S.

Yelp
This store is so cute. There are so many different things to look at. The sales staff was helpful and answered all my questions.

Mike E.

Yelp
If you love Japanese style paper and assorted accessories then this is THE place for you.

Alanna B.

Yelp
This store has a great selection, and a good variety of supplies. That being said, I think some of the employees are either a little green or just lack the knowledge necessary to fully inform their customers. I placed a paper order with them after their recommendation to buy larger pieces and then cut them down to the proper size (I had to buy all the tools necessary for cutting as well). They informed me of the shipping costs and estimated delivery date; I agreed, but was hesitant because it seemed like it wasn't the most optimal choice. Upon leaving the store, I visited the website of the paper company they ordered from. Not only can I order custom-cut pieces (at an extra cost of $3!!!), but the delivery (directly to my house) costs less, and is delivered in half the time. When the order came in, I brought the cutting supplies with me and returned them. I explained my (completely justified) frustration with the associate working that day. She said she "didn't know why" the lady I originally spoke with didn't recommend a custom order and said I should speak with her. That didn't fly with me and I said I wanted my money back for the paper. She spoke with the manager who refused to come out and speak to me face-to-face and without apology, gave me a refund. When I said "thank you," all she said was "umm, hmm..." and began to help the next in line. Nice. Chances of me stopping by this store again are extremely thin, to say the least. I was clearly upset, but never rude to them. It was a mistake on their part that I wanted corrected. Since they ended up correcting their mistake, but showed no apologetic behaviour: 2 stars.

Philip M.

Yelp
The gentleman (and I say that loosely) who was working tonight, Friday December 6th 2013 at approximately 7:00PM, was incredibly rude with no good reason. My friend was interested in purchasing a decorative string of acorns (of which there were none on the floor in packaging) so she took the example on display. She brought it to the cash to PAY for it (i.e. giving her money to this ingrate) at which point he chastised her for taking it off the display and not asking for help. Number one, this display was not behind glass and was at eye-level. It is an $18 string of acorns, not Swarovski crystals. It was the equivalent of taking a jacket off a mannequin. Number two, there were none other than the display available on the floor. She wanted it and was fully intending on paying for it (which she did still, even with this guy's awful service). Number three, he and his colleague were busy at the cash while we were looking at it so it just made more sense to take it down herself. Again, let me emphasize that this was not some large, elaborate display being dismantled. His chastising of a customer like she is a child and then being snippy AFTER she apologized to him is totally unacceptable. This man had an awful attitude and I would never speak to a customer like this and I have worked years in the service industry. I will also never be coming back to this store and will be recommending my friends against it every time we pass by.

Roy R.

Yelp
The store is laid out in such a clean and orderly way, and is just generally pleasant to look at. A definite must-visit if in the area!

Jocelyn L.

Yelp
Fairly big range of cute cards and gorgeous wrapping paper. Love that it's right across from the park too

Anona M.

Yelp
I really love this store, a great selection of items for paper crafting. I make sure not to go often though because it is quite expensive. Many items can be purchased online for much less. That said, it is very convenient to go in store and browse, and some papers can be bought individually which is also very convenient.

Sarah O.

Yelp
i came to this store to buy some paper samples for my wedding invites and man, i fell in love with this store, i'd ditch my man and marry it if i could. i never thought i'd be so enamored with paper but wow! i want to take up origami just so i can visit this place (i still remember how to make a pinwheel and a boat but it'd be sacrilege to waste pretty paper on chintzy origami designs like that). they have "inspiration" books with design ideas for invites. a variation of stamps and different colour stamp pads. the staff was very helpful and friendly. there's an abundance of cute gift ideas. who wouldn't want a so-cute-you-could-vomit notebook or manual wind up cat flashlight?? i can't wait to come back and feel up some pretty paper!

Elle M.

Yelp
This place is like a little heaven for those who are into DIY/crafting. It has a good assortment of different types of papers for invitations or gift wrapping. It has seal stamps, calendars, stickers, temporary tattoos, some novelty items and the list goes on! The only down side (which is not really a downside to be honest) is the price, due to the uniqueness of some of these items, they can be quite pricey.

Yelp
I love this place for their beautiful paper, it's a great place to shop just as long as you know your stuff and know what you want because the staff is often rude, and not at all friendly. You'll get the answer to your question with a very blank face. It's a shame because the atmosphere is very beautiful but the staff look like they don't want to be there. I still continue to shop there for my packaging needs, however, I found almost the exact same thing for most of my items (including the Japanese paper and tissues) from the art store maybe a block away from The Paper Place that sells it for less than half the price.
