"Located inside a former car showroom from 1916, The Fountain on Locust is a great spot for a casual lunch or weeknight dinner. But either way, make sure you finish your meal with one of their ice cream cocktails. If you do come for lunch, the french onion roast beef melt and Polish dill pickle soup are two things you should try, along with an egg cream. Between the art deco murals and diner counter, it’s hard to tell which era The Fountain belongs in. But regardless, it’s worth checking out." - jen maylack

Such a beautiful atmosphere with 20's vibes and decor. A little on the expensive side but very delicious! I ordered the Caesar salad and their soup of the day - broccoli Gouda soup - my partner ordered their famous grilled cheese. We also tried their house made cola which was the most delicious soda I've ever had! Highly recommend trying their cola! We also got a butter cookie, it was a little smaller than I would've preferred but delicious all the same! Service was great, a little slow to bring out the food, wait was about 15-20 minutes. Overall, great spot to try out for a nice date night! Side note- their bathroom had the biggest sink I've ever seen in my life (I loved it)

This spot is a must-visit if you’re in St. Louis. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were all top-notch. However, we did encounter a hiccup with seating. We had a group of eight and added ourselves to the waitlist 45 minutes before arriving. Upon arrival, we were informed it would be an additional 35-minute wait. After waiting, our table still wasn’t ready, and we had to split into two tables of four. This was frustrating, especially after planning ahead and still not being able to sit together. Pros: Despite the seating issue, the service was excellent. Our waitress was kind and attentive. The bread was baked to perfection, and the dessert was delicious. The drinks were great. I highly recommend the Persephone if you enjoy lime-based cocktails. The Espresso Martini with ice cream was good too. They even have a cocktail ice cream club that you HAVE to try that my friend got. While the seating situation was less than ideal, the quality of the food, drinks, and service made up for it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting St. Louis. Just be prepared for potential wait times if you’re in a large group.

We had a small Galentine's Day lunch yesterday. The space is so beautiful! Every area of the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous down to the latches on the " ladies only " powder room stalls. The food was great and we had a blast visiting with each other. Only slight caveats: drinks we had would not seem to have as much alcohol in them as expected and because all the surfaces are hard, they sound levels were very high so it was a bit hard to hear each other. Highly recommend visiting!

I had the chicken sandwich with pesto for lunch. I got the tomato basil soup as the side dish. The soup was very good, and the sandwich was fantastic. I decided to try the 'world's smallest' sundae and ice cream cone. I was very impressed with the ice-cream. Very thick and creamy. Overall loved this place.

Went here the for the first time today and loved it! I had the Dill Pickle soup with the Fig, Ham and Garuda grilled cheese, and loved it! I got a mocktail, the “secret crush” and my friends all got drinks, and we loved everything we tried. I got the free mini sundae they offer for your Birthday, and we wished we hadn’t been so full so we could have tried a different dessert on their extensive dessert menu.

100/10 experience!! The service here was exceptional from the host, to our server Andrew, and everyone else we encountered in between. Food and desserts were great and this place truly went above and beyond in EVERY way. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

What a great late-night experience after watching a show at The Fabulous Fox! My wife and I both chose "The Gambler", where our sundaes were the artist's choice of flavors and toppings! It paid off with excellent mixes of flavors that complimented each other. Our server Andrew also provided outstanding service to our table. We can't wait to come back to St. Louis to try more ice cream at The Fountain, as well as their food options!

Awesome shakes and atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Be prepared to pay for on atreet parking ( not their fault) and I suggest make a reservation to cut wait times. Very popular place. HIGHLY Recommend!
