The Five Alls

We stayed overnight at the Five Alls and had a wonderful time. Apparently it has changed hands early this year and been beautifully renovated. We stayed in a a garden room which was spacious, immaculately clean and nicely done out. Small details had been thought of down to the provision of fresh milk for our tea or coffee. |The rest of the building is also really well done with a great bar and lovely restaurant where we had a very good dinner. Breakfast was fantastic with a great selection of choices all cooked fresh to order. |The other great thing about The Five Alls is how friendly and helpful the staff were. We would definitely return and highly recommend this place.

We had a charming two night stay in one of the ‘garden’ rooms. A very spacious room and bathroom (number 6). Dinner was nice in their restaurant-can recommend the battered fish and fries. Lovely, friendly staff making the stay enjoyable. Thank you.

Stayed mid week and only booked last minute... Got an extremely good deal with booking.com, however for some reason the app wouldn't let me book.. I called the Five Alls, and Rob matched the Booking.com price. Garden Room was great, with access directly from the car park, would suit someone with mobility issues perfectly, as everything is then on the ground floor. Staff were very friendly and on hand during our stay. We will definitely be back. My only 'complaint' was that we only stayed for one night and didn't have time to take in the local area, sure there are plenty of walks in the countryside to be enjoyed.

Excellent stay, would totally recommend this little gem. We booked as had wedding near by. Very warm welcome. The room was fabulous had everthing you needed and more.. Lovely added touches such as radio. Breakfast was absolutely lovely. We didnt have dinner but will definately return for a stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful overnight stay last night. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Jo who showed us to our lovely room and explained everything. The room was very clean and comfortable with nice touches including a radio and underfloor heating in the bathroom. We had a fantastic dinner and enjoyed the drinks in the bar. All the staff were so friendly they really made you feel at home. The breakfast was excellent too. Thanks to Rob, Jo, chef and all the staff, you have created a very special place with a special atmosphere.

We had a delightful stay in this immaculate hotel; decor is eye catching with impressive attention to detail. Our garden room suite was beautifully appointed with a superbly comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom with gorgeous toiletries. The staff were professional, friendly and highly attentive. The surroundings of the hotel are stunning with a little orchard adjacent to the outside seating area. The swathes of lavender and roses in bloom on the fence provide the most English of settings. The food is of a high standard; the menu showing imagination and flair. We enjoyed a late dinner and a leisurely tasty breakfast. We extend our thanks to Mr Downing for his warm welcome and to his kind and attentive staff.

Brilliant sun lunch, all three courses were very tasty. Staff were very helpful. Just the atmosphere you want from a country pub.

This is the local for people in the village of Filkins and wow what a local it is . I can’t vouch for the rooms as we were starting round the corner but the food, drink and service were amazing. I would go as far as to say some of the best food I’ve experienced in a country pub , no airs, no graces just good friendly service and spectacular local food … the cheese soufflé was too die for so much so I didn’t get chance to take a photo 😂 the trout and the aubergine mains also brilliant the chef certainly knows how out a plate of food together and even the new potatoes were done in a different and delicious way … overall a tour de force in local eateries , the beer was per decent too
