"How did it strike you on arrival?Housed in a restored five-story villa, The Fifteen Keys is the epitome of urban chic. It is modern and tastefully decorated with polished parquet and creamy walls throughout. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a really stylish, secret spot that only the locals would know about. Nice. What’s the crowd like? This place is aimed at couples in their thirties and forties, most of whom are on a short stay in Rome. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. There are 15 rooms, each as stylish as the next. The Superior grey room is bright and airy, with jaw-slackening views over Rome. Furniture is minimalist, but playful, with pops of colour in the form of cushions and bright bed covers. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The bed is a King, the mattress pleasingly firm. All of the linen is good quality—nothing has been scrimped on here. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? The rooms have every amenity a traveler could want, including a desk, a safe, a flatscreen TV, and a kettle. The in-room hairdryer and GHD straightener was particularly useful, and it wasn’t one of those on-the-wall-ones that take hours to do their job. The mini bar isn't free, but it’s well stocked, with artisanal Italian beer and quality Italian snacks. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down. The bathroom’s shower is gloriously big, and the always-welcome Malin+Goetz products were a real treat. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Wi-Fi is free, and the connection’s consistent. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.The hotel offers complimentary use of bicycles and e-biked for exploring Rome, and they can arrange in-room massages for guests, too. There’s a selection of complimentary tea and cookies available each day between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., followed by ‘Hygge Time’, with 25% off all drinks, including the ever-changing cocktail of the day. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay? You can’t beat the hotel’s sumptuous buffet breakfast in the cool, vine-strewn courtyard. Bottom line: worth it, and why?Smart, stylish ,and right in one of Rome’s buzziest areas—what more could you want? It’s the ideal place to slink home to after a day exploring the city." - Maresa Manara

"An urban townhouse with the charm of a fantasy pied-a-terre, light colors, mid-century armchairs, and other vintage pieces create a retro feel in each of the 15 rooms of the Fifteen Keys. Located in Monti, a bar- and boutique-lined neighborhood in downtown Rome, the Fifteen Keys’ central location makes it the ideal hub for any adventure you have planned."

This hotel was an outstanding recommendation by our travel agent. It is located in a relatively quiet part of the Monti district, though getting into the hustle and bustle of the tourist places is fairly easy. Plenty of places to eat in the area and the hotel will be happy to recommend and book places for you. We stayed for three nights, went touring Italy for a couple of weeks and then stayed again before heading home. Both times our rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. Breakfast is great. Every afternoon at 4pm they put on afternoon tea. Even though they “open the bar” at 5pm, you can get a drink at anytime. There is nothing like coming back after a day out and sitting in the courtyard enjoying a cold drink. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way. Would I stay again? Absolutely.

Our August stay at The Fifteen Keys Hotel was a wonderful experience. We booked two rooms, including the spacious and thoughtfully designed Master Suite, which provided the perfect retreat after long flights and exploring Rome in the summer heat. The rainfall shower and excellent water pressure were particularly appreciated after full days of sightseeing.||||Breakfast each morning was homemade and delicious, contributing to the warm, family-style feel of the property. The small team was consistently kind and attentive, adding to the personalized atmosphere without ever being overbearing.||||The hotel’s location is excellent—quiet yet central—making it easy to reach all the major attractions on foot or by taxi. It’s a fantastic choice for those looking for a boutique hotel with charm, comfort, and great access to the city.

This boutique hotel is perfectly located and such an oasis in the city. We love the Monti neighborhood as a base for our Rome trip. Great food, mix of locals and tourists and all within walking distance to the colosseum, forum, and other points of interest. The staff are attentive and pleasant. The rooms are lovely and so comfortable. The street it is on it between busier streets but the location is very quiet and peaceful which is great for a light sleeper like me.

What a lovely little boutique hotel, as its name suggests with only 15 rooms. This hotel is beautifully decorated and clean. All the staff are super helpful and friendly. Avail of complimentary tea and cake each evening 5-6 and discounted drinks 6-7pm. Be sure and try cocktail of the day. |Location is very close to the Santa Maria Maggiore church where you will find the tomb of Pope Francis. Neighbourhood is quiet with plenty of nice cafes, restaurants and some quaint shops. It is within easy walking distance of all the main attractions, the colosseum , Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. |I would highly recommend this hotel for couples and as a base for a long weekend to Rome.

My twelve-year-old daughter and I had the pleasure of staying at the Fifteen Keys Hotel in early May. I had previously visited the hotel with my eldest son back in October 2016, and it left such a positive impression that I chose to return. Between these stays, I visited Rome and stayed near the Vatican—lovely, of course, though a bit farther from Roma Termini than I prefer. ||This is, above all, a hotel best suited for small groups—perhaps two people—seeking a peaceful retreat. The atmosphere, both in the staff and the building itself, radiates calm and harmony. The house and rooms are beautifully appointed, and the neighborhood is wonderfully quiet. Breakfast was just the right size and absolutely delightful, particularly the selection of homemade cakes. The coffee, too, was excellent. I’m quite fond of this place and will certainly return—hopefully before another nine years pass, next time with my wife. ||I should mention that my daughter isn’t particularly fond of heat (we live in Norway, and she generally prefers snow to warm weather). On our last day, she developed a headache and, while I was out purchasing pain relief at the pharmacy, became ill in two spots on the hardwood floor of our rather spacious room. When I returned, I immediately asked for a bucket and mop to handle the matter myself, but the staff took care of everything at once—smiling, without complaint. After cleaning, they even brought her a comforting cup of warm ginger water and a few kind words, which soothed her greatly. By morning, she was perfectly well again, making for a perfectly fine conclusion to our stay despite the mishap. ||I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel—it’s a true gem.

Google
this is a hospitality driven boutique hotel. wonderful staff and great location for walking to several iconic monuments in the city. i loved the breakfast each morning: huge variety of food and everything tasted fantastic. the bed was relatively firm but i find that to be common in european hotels. i was still comfortable in the room, definitely enough space for two people. clean bathroom and amazing shower. outstanding price to quality ratio. highly recommended as a peaceful escape from the buzzing city.

An amazing staff. It was like visiting your Italian cousins home. They assisted in booking tables at restaurants, arranged a car from port to hotel and hotel to airport. Location is perfect, a 12 minute walk to coliseum. Breakfast is made in house and was delicious, particularly their Italian cakes. The hotel is a great oasis to return to after spending the day in crowded, noisy Rome. Small and intimate, the staff have the time to talk with you about themselves, their city, culture, traditions and favorite eating spots. Staff actually liked working there and enjoying making you happy. Any problem, however small, was corrected immediately. This small boutique hotel is the overall best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

Our room was very comfortable and well appointed and had a wonderful outdoor terrace. Breakfasts were a delight---the baked goods at breakfast and tea time were fabulous! Everyone at the hotel was professional, friendly and extremely helpful. We would definitely stay agin!

Yelp
Room was nice but most importantly the staff was exceptional. Antonio went out of his way to find us transportation to our cruise ship. The breakfast was delicious and the chef came out to personal introduce herself. I will definitely stay at 15 Keys in the future. Oh, and how can I forget...a bottle of wine was waiting for us when we arrived. Plus, their Happy Hour was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing!

Yelp
I cannot say enough about The Fifteen Keys Hotel. Perfect Roman (Christmas) holiday stay here. It was everything I hoped for and more for my 1st ever trip to Rome/Italy. Situated in the Monti neighborhood and just a short walk to the Colosseum, the area just oozes charm and comfort (as a single woman, I felt safe no matter the hour). So convenient, with plenty of shops and restaurants right out the door. I stayed here over the Christmas holiday and as soon as I got dropped off, just the vibe and decor (literally) took my breath away. I was excited to be in such an intimate setting (just 15 rooms) but what a surprise that with that came true first-class service from the staff. From day one, every single member made me feel special/valued and really got to know me throughout my stay. Even before I arrived, every email communication, from their warm welcome to answering my questions about what was open on Christmas Eve/Day and nearby Covid testing options, was graciously addressed by the staff. (Thank you Giacomo, Antonio, Ioana, Iulia, Julia.) They even reached out to offer car service pickup from the airport, which was a nice special treat for myself; I'm glad I opted for that. Everyone was so helpful; special shout out to Iulia who I probably had the most interaction with during her night shifts. Thanks to her, I found the perfect spot to dine on Christmas Eve when I arrived solo that evening, as well as both of my last dinners, courtesy of her always-fantastic recommendations. This was an experience I will not soon forget. Grazie mille Fifteen Keys; I loved my 6 night stay so much because of all your personal touches, and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Fifteen Keys delivered a superior experience in every sense on our recent stay. It's a small hotel that has been nicely updated with a chic, modern vibe, but also lots of personality. I enjoyed the slightly surreal photography in our room and the corridors. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and everything was sparkling clean. There were plenty of modern amenities, such as ports to charge gadgets, and the bathroom was equipped with a fabulous, roomy rain shower and really nice quality soaps and shampoos. The breakfast was excellent! Organic yogurt that was soooo yummy, and assorted breakfast pastries and delicious fresh fruits. Excellent coffee. We loved the little enclosed outdoor patio, both for breakfast and for evening drinks. Since we were visiting under COVID restrictions, it was extra-nice to have this space and be able to relax in a quiet area without a mask. The staff were just aces all the way. On learning we were on our honeymoon, they delivered a card and bottle of,Prosecco to congratulate us on our first night. They were fantastically helpful with recommendations - every restaurant they suggested was a winner - and ordering taxis and so on. Finally, you can't beat the location- walking distance to the colosseum and other key historic sites.

Yelp
Subjective: Stayed here for 3 nights in one of the Grey rooms - room overlooked Via Urbana. Objective: Boutique hotel with 15 rooms (hence the name) located in the Monti neighborhood. One supermarket is immediately next door and Via Urbana is filled with tons of restaurants and shops. About a 5 min walk to the Cavour metro station. Breakfast was included. They also have complimentary afternoon tea from 5-6 pm. Assessment: what an amazing stay! The Grey rooms were huge with a king size bed and long hallway connecting the front door to the bedroom. Although facing Via Urbana, it was very quiet. The breakfast was great with lots of fresh fruit, pastries, and even made to order eggs (the made to order eggs were an additional cost) - the breakfast room had both indoor and outdoor seating. They even gave us a small bottle of Prosecco for our honeymoon! The front desk was super helpful with restaurant reservations/recommendations. The location cannot be beat - Monti is filled with great restaurants and local stores.

Yelp
This cute, chic, cozy, boutique hotel was the perfect place for my wife and I to stay and get acclimated to Rome! This hotel has it all: convenient location; friendly, helpful staff; new, comfortable rooms; delicious breakfast! From the moment we stepped through the doors, the staff did an excellent job making us feel welcome and orienting us to the area. Besides its super convenient location (which Dana sums up perfectly below), Fifteen Keys offers a great breakfast spread every morning: quality continental and American style foods and juices, not to mention an espresso bar where they served made-to-order drinks (using Illy beans, of course)! It's hard to pick out just one highlight, but we love Fifteen Keys and would not hesitate to book another stay there the next time we visit Rome!

Yelp
I can not say enough wonderful things about our stay at The Fifteen Keys Hotel. From the moment we walked in we received such a warm welcome from Kevin at the front. If you are traveling to Rome, I highly recommend staying here. The location of the hotel is perfect and right on the same street as many great restaurants while still quiet from the more active city streets. The Fifteen Keys is in walking distance to every important Landmark in Rome and barely a 10 minute walk to the Coliseum and Roman forum. The room was gorgeous and exceptionally clean with a cute terrace right outside our room door. When I return to Rome I will definitely repeat my stay with The Fifteen Keys Hotel.

Yelp
This is my 2nd time staying here and it's a great hotel. The staff make you feel at home and are very friendly. Very close to the Termini train station which is a direct route to the airport. I highly recommend.

Jenna S.

Yelp
Loved this hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and the space was well designed and in a great neighborhood.

Yelp
Spent a week here at Fifteen Keys. The 15 room boutique hotel is well located on a quiet street in the centrally located Monti neighborhood, a short walk to The Colosseum, and Termini train station. Staff are friendly and attentive. Rooms are stunning and well appointed, bed was ridiculously comfortable. Amazing daily breakfast spread was included as was afternoon tea, there is also coffee and bar service available for a fee. There are plenty of good restaurants shops coffee gelato and markets nearby and a small supermarket next door. Everything was perfect - highly, highly recommend!

Yelp
Can highly recommend The Fifteen Keys based on their great service/ staff, location and quality of rooms.

Yelp
My family and I spent our last night in Rome at this marvelous boutique hotel. The price was great for the one night. It was perfectly located with many shops, great restaurants, a salon, and small market. The people who worked the desk were very pleasant and helpful. The only downfall was no room service. I would highly recommend checking it out.

Paul C.

Yelp
Great location on a quiet street in Rome. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a typical city hotel room which was a little small but very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to many places as well as the Colosseum.

Roxanne C.

Yelp
We would definitely stay here again. Stayed 4 nights mid May 2018. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was VERY clean. We had Room 1 (but I doubt that matters). Great location near train and walking distance to most everything except Vatican ($15 taxi ride). The week before we left the U.S. we received an email from The Fifteen Keys asking if we wanted a private shuttle from the Flumicino airport for 70 euros. We arrived late at night so it was the best 70 euros (excluding $5 euro tip) we ever spent and we really appreciated the offer from the hotel. The hotel even offered that we could pay the driver or put it on our room. The Fifteen Keys provides 2 complimentary bottles of water each day which we also appreciated (even though Rome has fountains (safe to drink) all over. Breakfast room is really cute/chic and there's an outdoor area too. The walls are quite high around the outdoor area; they call it an "internal courtyard" which is a good description. They provided free wifi. The room was very quiet. Every once in awhile a car quietly passes but nothing to speak of. The in room safe was bigger than most, easy to use and free. The shower is new and beautiful but be VERY careful to point the hand held shower away from the glass door or it will leak.
