The carvings on every entryway or windowsill are so intricate and so well preserved. You can look at one side of the courtyard for hours, observing all the little details. We are advised this is the best hotel in Kathmandu, I can easily believe this.|It is a lovely historic building that is clearly maintained with love and is in private ownership. |Its best attribute is the staff. Without exception and at all levels, they were polite, helpful and friendly. Nothing ever too much trouble. We are very impressed. |Our room is a little dated but in generally good condition. Bathroom similar. All usual amenities. |The courtyard area is very nice as is the reception area and lounge. |Dining is a bit hit and miss but pretty good really. The Japanese restaurant is chaotic, we were overcharged here, not on purpose but its a symptom of how it operates. I didn't want to spoil our evening but just paid, probably I should have complained.|We like the hotel.|

We were a group of 20 people, and we all had an awesome time. We were even offered a tour of the hotel, very pretty and old Nepali styled. Amazing food and service, Achyute is a super nice guy. I recommend the chicken, it was well served, delicious and very moist.🤗

Great introduction to Nepal. Classic old building and rooms - lots of wood and period details. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Close to airport. Kathmandu can be pretty crazy and the hotel is a welcome oasis of peace and service. The downside is it is expensive and the neighborhood isn't very exciting. We ate at the Japanese restaurant which was fine but not great. Breakfast extensive. Went for our second night to the Hyatt which is also a top hotel and Dwarika's much more authentic.

We had a wonderful experience here! Shraddha in particular went out of her way to make our stay exceptional. The grounds are stunning. Make sure to book some time at the spa. The staff is all extremely helpful.

My friend and I chose the 16 course meal. Wow!!! What a fantastic meal!!! We weren’t able to finish all the courses but everything was amazing. The service was superb and the ambiance was gorgeous. We would def come back but maybe do less course lol

A beautiful haven in the midst of Kathmandu, this stunning hotel offers peace and tranquility to recover after a trek. Designed to showcase the beautiful Nepalese wood carvings, the buildings house modern, comfortable rooms around a series of courtyards. There is an amazing spa for post-trek massages, and customer service is impeccable. Would definitely recommend Dwarika's Hotel to anyone spending time in Kathmandu.

This is a larger boutique style hotel with a rich history and detailed woodworking and antiques. It should actually be a unesco heritage site. Maybe some day it will be. Several onset restaurants in all price ranges. In our experience the Nepalese and Indian choices were delicious, more so than the other international choices. Good shops. Has a pool, bar and beautiful courtyard with lots of trees and birds. Owned by the same family for three generations.

This Hotel is magical, from the moment you step into the lobby you are transformed into another age. From the lobby to the court yard you are surrounded by beautiful cravings and statues that are amazing. Also the staff are so friendly and helpful to anything you need.
