"Terence Conran of Habitat fame is one of the—if not the—most prominent figures in British design, and his legendary shop is just one of his many legacies. His son Jasper is heir to his throne: He's recently overhauled the store's layout, style, and feel. Mixing furniture into realistic and enticing homelike vignettes, the shop is now a source of inspiration as much as it is the place to buy twentieth-century design large and small. Along with all the Eames, Saarinens, and van der Rohes—not to mention Donald Judd's furniture designs, for which Conran has the exclusive—the knickknacks, stationery, and design books are unparalleled, making it hard to walk out empty-handed. There is also another location in Marylebone. "

The shop, lovingly arranged over several rooms and a couple floors, offers a varied, eclectic selection of items for all budgets, from small gift ideas to designer furniture and luxury products. Be warned: browsing leisurely may lead to serious buyer envy and the occasional impulse purchase.

Gorgeous, unique designs. On the pricier side for most things, but you can always expect to walk in and find something wonderful. Great for gift shopping.

This was a great place to shop for the unusual gifts. It's a large department store with every thing from furniture to electronics. Worth a visit but it's not cheap.

Amazing place, full of extraordinary objects but be prepared to spend a great amount of money. Amazing limited edition pieces are certanly worth the money, a basic Fabriano watercolour set at 150£ for sure it's not.

I can't walk away from here with very much (a single placemat or a mug if my pocket is feeling particularly heavy), but I can take photos - it's so lovely here!

A fantastic selection of very beautiful designer objects at eye watering prices. Also well worth going to see Michelin House next door.

Lovely as always full of eclectic pieces of designer furniture and fittings. Some clothes too but dont bother. I find their beauty (more like fragrance diffusers etc) amazing. Niche brands galore. Prices are high so wait for the sale. I think for the range it is a fairly good shop to start, when you want to furnish your home. But price around before you commit. E.g. I wanted a FLOS floor lamp. The salesman said there was no stock so he called the supplier. Well, I waited and waited and eventually he said stock in 3 weeks! What? So I googled FLOS and found another supplier. Bingo. Same price but I got it in 3 days.

Yelp
I wish I could agree with your 4 and 5 star reviewers. If I could give Zero stars, I would. Please do not be seduced by the beauty and simplicity of the things that they sell. (mostly Danish and Italian-you don't need to go through Conrans). Conran's is completely unreliable, disdainful and utterly incompetent. Customer Service is remarkably feckless and unresponsive. Here is the chronology of my experience with Conrans: -I paid 100% (2050 GBP) upfront on July of 2020. This was for two Ptolomeo /Ciatti bookshelves-items I was told were in stock in the UK and would be delivered in 6 to 8 weeks and that the delay was due to covid. As soon as they had my money, I no longer had any leverage. -I sent countless emails into the abyss. I left countless messages with customer service just trying to get a delivery date as 6-8 weeks came and went with no news. I finally gave up and went back to the salesperson who took my money. No response whatsoever. I sent evidence of payment in full for the two bookshelves to everyone and his brother. -After nearly 7 months of no response whatsoever, I threatened to take them to small claims court, to report them to the Competition and Market Authority (which handles consumer issues within the UK). -I found the manager of the Conran shop on Linked in and copied her on my threats to sue as well as a evidence of payment and confirmation of my order. -After that, someone finally responded to me and told me that my two bookshelves were in stock and a delivery company would be in touch. I was over the moon and made arrangements for the delivery the next day, February 23 2021. -on the 23rd, one of the two Ptolomeo bookshelves I had paid for was delivered. The delivery man had no idea why he had been given one, rather than 2 bookshelves. -I sent more emails to the customer service person assigned to my 'case' as well as to the manager of ConranShop, Victoria Large (the one I could only find on Linked In). I called the direct line of the customer service person and left at least 6 messages. I again threatened to sue them and only then received a call back. -And on that callback, seven months after they had my money, I learned that they never had the second bookshelf in stock in the UK and would have to order another one FROM ITALY and that they could not provide me a delivery date. Conran's has an illustrious history and beautiful things, but DO NOT BE FOOLED. Accurate descriptions of their 'customer service' are unprintable. If you like something on their website, then order it directly from the manufacturer. Please do not go through Conrans. Search their website and then go to the source. Generally manufacturers on the continent do not require 100% upfront payment, rather 50% on order and 50% prior to delivery. They also respond and keep you up to date on the status of your order. Never never never order from these incompetent and arrogant people. I certainly won't. I no longer care how lovely their things are-trying to get any response will cost you hours of your precious time and leave you phenomenally frustrated. Never again.

Yelp
Jasper Conran's flagship London store is housed in the 1930s Michelin building, which is shares with Bibendum, one of Conran's most prestigious of his restaurant empire. Conran's eye for contemporary detail and tastes are ably demonstrated by a stroll through this store which sells everything from furniture to lighting to matches and kitchen gear. There are some strikingly modern designs like Philippe Starck's dual tower Parrot speakers to retro TIMEX digital watches. Being Chelsea, the prices reflect that but it's still a fun stroll through even if you don't to buy anything.

Yelp
I was going to write a long glowing review for The Conran Shop - the Conran living-and-lifestyle flagship smack dab on Fulham Road - but really it's almost all succinctly stated in the following haiku: Gorgeous, modern, cool. Pricey. Might just buy a card. One day, will buy more. Yelp note: would rank this 5 stars if it had affordable enough stuff to fill my flat with. That said: go, go, go, even just to look at things, and flip through books, and smell beautiful perfumes and stare with awe at light fixtures that are as beautiful as they are functional.

Yelp
This place is an inspiration. Contemporary but comfortable furniture all the way to elegant but practical dinnerware, reflects Terence Conran's vision of easy modern living with exciting design. Not only are there gorgeous things to make your home a better place, but just walking through the store itself will give you a lifestyle makeover.

Yelp
Great furniture shop in the Michelin building in Chelsea; The furniture is sometimes pricey but there is a really good selection of modern and stylish pieces, with a strong design feel. Conran also stocks some very desirable home accessories and housewares. I bought a table and chairs in the store a while back and although the delivery was postponed, everything else went smoothly (they are living a happy life) Staff is not always helpful however, which is why although I love the products in the store, I cant give it the maximum rating.

Yelp
The Conran Shop are utterly incompetent. I placed an order online in November for a Christmas present, they stated at time of ordering 3-5 days for delivery. After 2 weeks I chased up the order and 3 days later received an email response asking if I wanted to cancel. I replied saying that I did not want to cancel but I expected some compensation for the wait e.g. a refund on the delivery charge. A) Conran Shop had already taken money from my credit card before dispatching the goods (which they never dispatched) B) they took another week to reply to my email C) they cancelled my order contrary to my request D) they did not even apologise. I will never shop with them again and I urge anyone thinking of making a purchase with them to go elsewhere.

Yelp
A really, really lovely home decor and furniture shop that makes a welcome change from Beigeville. The shop is always beautifully presented and has an eclectic and exciting mix of things. If you go for items in their Well Considered range you'll end up with great value, beautifully designed pieces. I'm a big fan of this shop.

Yelp
It takes a lot to get me excited about soft furnishings. Luckily Jasper Conran, the founder of Habitat, has a shop on the Fulham Road that does the trick. The exterior is the first thing that strikes you about the place. Housed in the 1930s Art Deco Michelin building, it must be one of the most beautiful buildings in London. It's very like Habitat inside the shop, perhaps the difference being the Conran shop's slightly more adventurous take on proceedings and, needless to say, price. One of my favourite sections is the framed pictures, where you can buy massive blown-up Penguin Classics titles (just like those mugs), framed for £50. There is a huge range of products - funky lights and light fixtures, goose-down duvets, classic Le Creuset kitchenware - all of it very high quality and guaranteed to catch your eye. The staff are similarly good at looking after the most casual of enquiries. Window displays are also worth looking after. A year or so ago, they were selling 100 Design Classics for the Home with everything from those tomato-shaped ketchup holders to beautifully crafted authentic Moroccan tagines. Highly recommended for special gifts.

Yelp
As Kristen C. mentioned this is Terence Conran's shop, although one of his offspring Jasper will soon be taking the reigns. The shop is worth visiting at least for the building and window displays, and sells a lot of modern classic pieces - with a price tag to match - as well as many smaller accessories for the whole of your house. Everything is very much geared towards the wealthy local clientele, some of whom unfortunately have more money than sense - which is a bit of a shame given Mr Conran's lasting impact on the British design world.
