Nestled atop breathtaking limestone cliffs in Negril, The Caves ushers you into a colorful, cliffside retreat where romance meets reggae in cozy cottages, chic caves, and culinary delights.
"File this under the most extraordinary all-inclusive resorts in the world. Located about 10 minutes from Negril's notoriously beautiful white-sand Seven Mile Beach, The Caves welcomes travelers in a self-described "handcrafted utopia" that includes 12 cliffside cottages and a grand villa, two dining pavilions, and, yes, several caves, one of which has been transformed into a rum bar. The secluded resort is also home to one of the best spas in Jamaica, The Caves' Aveda Amenity Spa, with a full menu of treatments, including body wraps and scrubs, massages, and facials. Jamaican food is served at the resort’s main dining room, Bamboo Terrace, which is clad in comfortable furnishings and offers panoramic views. If you prefer al fresco dining, head to the thatched-roof gazebo that overlooks the sea." - Travel + Leisure Editors
"Negril boasts stylish, boutique hotels atop the stunning limestone cliffs, the most impressive of which is The Caves." - Travel + Leisure Editors
"The Caves is a collection of twelve private cottages atop a cliff, overlooking the ocean, with plenty of jumping-off points to impress one’s companion and other guests." - Sophie Friedman
"Three resorts supplied by the 800-acre organic farm Pantrepant, which provides a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, dairy, and meat." - Sophie Friedman
"The Caves, just west of Negril, is aptly named. While the 12 cottages and one villa sit atop honeycombed cliffs, the Blackwell Rum Bar, a private dining venue, and the massage table of the hotel’s Aveda Concept Spa are actually in underground grottos open to the sea. The setup is very Treasure Island, and the flicker of candlelight and the echo of waves off cave walls make it uniquely romantic. Each of the thatch-roofed cottages is as colorful as a paint box, and each gives a sense of being alone at the end of the land. This is one of music mogul Chris Blackwell’s Island Outpost properties, so the vibe at the Jacuzzi, sauna, or salt-water swimming pool is hip but relaxed. Although famed Seven Mile Beach begins almost where the cliffs end, the hotel itself has no beach, which is why a tradition at the Caves is to begin the day by jumping from the cliffs into the usually calm Caribbean below—or at least thinking about it."
