The service: I came back to the hotel at 3:30pm, the room was done, but all towels were gone. The cleaning lady took my towels from the hook and never replaced them. I have found her and kindly asked to bring them. 15 minutes later she didn’t even make a move to do that. I asked her 3 more times then she left somewhere and returned another 15 minutes later. Also they don’t provide new water during the cleaning, lady explained that it will be done by someone in the evening, so during the day no self service for tea or coffee which are provided in the room is possible.
I stayed 3 nights in this hotel and same situation happened twice.
I arrived around 10pm and asked to bring me the iron, it took 3 hours for them to bring it! Then I had to fix a shower head myself because the person who supposed to be on duty disappeared.
Food: there are just a few people in the restaurant who know their job, young ladies are awful.
The breakfast which I paid for was possible to eat just once, the buffet is Jamaica traditional, which is ok, mild spicy, but zero fresh vegetables, fruits, eggs and any other normal foods from regular breakfast set. Forget about any healthy food, most meals are deep fried and it seems that they use palm oil or similar.
You will have to pay additional for everything what should be for breakfast in any 4 stars hotel. But most guests don’t even know that additional menu exists, they just don’t even show it to you.
Front desk: I asked for the hotel card to show to the driver, they said they don’t have them

The executive suites here are very nice. The standard rooms leaves a little to be desired. Peeling wallpaper and substandard rough feeling bed blankets were a turnoff. AC keeps coming back on 2 hours after I turned it off 🤷🏾.
The Terrace restaurant has sterling service. All the ladies and the gentlemen servers were completely attentive and always a smile. They will even keep serving you after closing. I made sure to tip them well.
The food was very good, especially the Pacific Salmon…oh my. Perfectly marinated and grilled. I fell in love with June Plum juice. The morning breakfast was also good. The only dish I had a problem with was the Codfish in some kind of cream…it was very salty. The Aki, Callaloo, Yam and Bammy was excellent. Fruit plate option is good with the Papaya, pineapple and melons.
I didn’t get a chance to try the fine dining Regency restaurant. The hotel is classic (former residence of a successful businessman) that has been expanded over the decades. Its secured property is about 2 acres that includes an outdoor jacuzzi and pool, with a gym right next to it.
I don’t like the location, which is on a really busy thoroughfare with folks that are fast and extremely impatient. It’s centrally located if you want to see all that Kingston has to offer but just be ready for being missed by inches by every other vehicle, especially cabs. Yikes!
It’s affordable with all the necessary amenities, including a bar of course. Friendly vibes the whole

My experience with Terra Nova Hotel has been beyond disappointing. I booked through Booking.com but needed to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite numerous emails sent by both Booking.com and myself, and multiple calls directly to the hotel, they refused to cancel my reservation. I was told that only the booking manager, Jhenelle Bolt, could handle cancellations — but she was on vacation, leaving me with no support.
The hotel admitted they received my emails but took no action. Instead, they charged me for the booking and have refused to refund my money despite my repeated efforts. As a result, I’ve had to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge and report the hotel’s scamming practices.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable for any business, let alone a hotel claiming to offer high-quality service. I feel completely scammed, and I strongly advise anyone considering Terra Nova to stay far away. Save yourself the headache, frustration, and financial loss — book somewhere else.

Transported back to an era of elegance and graciousness. We loved this place. Food was excellent. The staff is fantastic. You’re greeted by the bell captain at the outer portico and he navigates all your next steps until you’re situated in your room. We slept great, super linens, dark, quiet and perfect temperature. The incredibly friendly and helpful staff is what made our stay exceptional. Thank you front desk for going above and beyond for us. This is our go to place to stay in Kingston.

Had a few business meetings and pre-booked their meeting room. They kicked us out, a team I executives for a "larger" group without any prior notice. Staff Is very unprofessional, the entire hotel is dated, disgusting and filthy, food was horrible. Would not recommend.
