"Co-owner Laure Taka is known for her unique and tasty Japanese-inspired cheese creations, sold in this small, but well-curated shop." - Christine Clark
"Taka & Vermo prioritizes cheeses made with raw milk, cheeses made by traditional methods, and cheeses from artisanal producers, but it also offers some modern house creations, including a fresh goat’s cheese topped with yuzu confit and lime zest. An on-site cave for
affinage
(cheese ripening and aging) allows the cheesemongers to be more creative with their stock. Evening classes—including one about pairing sake and cheese—underscore the shop's commitment to pushing the envelope." - Catherine Down, Lindsey Tramuta
Among the best selection of cheeses one can find in Paris. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, eager to offer tasting and advices. Really reasonable prices given the quality of the products. Also nice saucissons

We are from Germany and were looking for the best French cheese. On the recommendation of a lady from a café, we discovered Taka & Vermo. Luckily, we stopped by—I’ve never seen such wonderful advice and such fine cheese for such a fair price!

Nice selection of cheeses with some tasty unexpected creations (yuzu goat cheese). The staff is not really friendly but at least they are knowledgeable.

We had two great experiences here, and left with cheeses that we enjoyed. When there’s a queue, there is pressure to order quickly, but the staff is helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. They also entertain (very well) English speaking patrons like us.
