At Tacolicious, it's all about vibrant margaritas and a killer taco selection in a fun, laid-back setting perfect for families and friends alike.
"Bay Area mini-chain Tacolicious just launched a brunch menu at its Mission District location in January, and now serves the weekend meal at all five of its locations. They’re starting off with six new breakfast tacos that range from fancy-pants concoctions like filet mignon and fried quail egg with salsa macha to a vegan option with roasted sweet potatoes and cashew crema." - Luke Tsai, Caleb Pershan, Eve Batey
"With a menu full of hits like guacamole and cheese dip, parents are sure to convince children to consume at least a bite or two, especially since there’s a Choose Your Own Adventure-style kids’ meal. There are plenty of margaritas, more advanced taco fillings, and patio and parklet seating at both locations (Mission and Marina) of this happy, laid-back, kid-friendly spot that does a fine happy hour and Taco Tuesdays." - Laura Smith Borrman, Christine Gallary
"While the name may suggest otherwise, at Tacolicious the drinks and the scene are the main draw. Take the margaritas: there are several on the cocktail list and each one is good enough to order by the pitcher. That said, the tacos are solid, as are the salads and guacamole. There's also a location in the Marina and the Embarcader."
"Tacolicious might have been low-key trolling the yoga-clad crowd when they dubbed the house salad the “Marina girl,” but fans are still ordering the fresh mix of romaine, radishes, and avocado, sprinkled with salty cotija and toasted pepitas, with an option to add on grilled shrimp." - Becky Duffett, Eve Batey
"A couple of years ago, Tacolicious, the San Francisco restaurant I’m a partner in, switched from using corn tortillas from a local tortilleria to making our own in-house. That was PC, or pre-Covid, and as a full-service restaurant, we innocently assumed the majority of our tacos would be enjoyed in-house. No one could have convinced me that a pandemic was headed our way, and that third-party delivery would be our main outlet for months at a time." - Sara Deseran
